- In todays adventure I'm joined by Chris from MCM Outdoors for a wild camp up on Hartsop Dodd. We started our adventure in the small car park at Hartsop before ascending the brutal climb up the ridge of the fell, with a heavy pack you certainly feel this one lol. I've ticked off most of the Wainwrights in this area but this was one I had yet to summit so this added another to my list of Wainwrights completed so far.
Once at the top we got the tents set up for the night, I was in the Naturehike Cloud Peak 2 and Chris was in his Nordisk Halland 2LW tent, after last week I just wanted a little more space and was happy to carry the extra weight.
With the tents set up on a perfect pitch it was time to relax and enjoy the views, we even managed to get the drones out to capture some aerial footage to share with you lovely lot.

Watched both versions now Phil.....re the meals i always put much more water than recommended then stick the sealed pack inside my ultralight gear gram counter thermal pouch and all the water gets absorbed i just reason that its better for hydration especially after a long sweaty slog .

Here on your recommendation Chris. Very good. PS you may lose weight by laying off the Elvis juice as speculated. But come on, who would drink something labelled dead singers dip n' dunk!

A real tough climb that mate. It look seriously steep in places and it doesn't always show how bad it is on camera but in this video you can see how bad it was especially at the end when Chris is climbing down behind you.

A steep and hard climb up in what looked like real clammy conditions. Real views mind and real nice that you are able to have a bit of time with Chris before the weather came in, as I said to Chris, if you hike with you have have to expect bad weather......wow, good to see it did not last long and it turned into a real nice night, it must be Tony bringing the bad weather not you lol! Moody old morning but good to see you managed to get some great drone footage, cheers Allan
