  • Check out these highlights from Frank Gore Jr.'s 329-yard performance in the LendingTree Bowl against Rice. Gore becomes the first FBS running back with 300 rushing yards and a passing touchdown in a game since Darren McFadden in 2007 for Arkansas against South Carolina and sets the record for most rushing yards in Bowl Game history.

Two teams that were 6-6 were ineligible for having played two FCS teams this year (App State and Army). 7-5 is required for bowl eligibility in that case unless a waiver is granted (New Mexico State received one since they had to emergency schedule a game against a second FCS opponent after San Jose State canceled their game against them this year, and they ended up 6-6). Due to these two teams being ineligible, none with .500 records or better were left, so the 5-7 team with the best academic record was rewarded with the last bowl berth (which happened to be Rice). A REALLY weird year and chain of events.

Must have been playing a video game because he never did that in his life. As a matter of fact he’s never had a run longer than 80 yards in his career

I like how there's not a lot of wasted motion. Even with his moves he is getting up field.
