They are good at giving a high level overview but as a new agent I need the nitty gritty. I need to know how to do a CMA, how to set up direct mailing, specifics about geofarming. So I am struggling and exp is looking really good right now.

I have been doing tons of research on different brokers to see which one would be the best fit for me since I am brand new to the industry and will need lots of guidance, training, and mentoring. My question is can I join exp straight out of the gate or do I have to sign with another brokerage first in order to activate license then have it transferred over to exp?🤔

Yes you can. Each agent at eXp is sponsored by another agent. With sponsorship you become apart of their network. The monthly $85 a month and the splits are 80/20 with a $16,000 cap.
sounds like its great for highly motivated self directors. What if u don't like the local agent as a mentor? Would it be easy to be lost and forgotten as a new agent in a new area with one exp realtor nearby?
I am starting my class tomorrow to get my license and am leaning towards exp after I have my license. I did have one question though, I would love to join a team that way I can shadow someone and learn more. Am I able to do with a mentor or does the mentor just assist in the closing of a sale?
I joined eXp in November and seriously considered leaving the business. I spent 2 months learning their platform and doing classes and NEVER received one on one mentoring. I was sent to an office that was very slow and tried to join another office but was declined. Meanwhile the original office closed. This has been a horrendous situation for me and my confidence is non existent right now. If you join this company make sure your team is good or you will get dumped off like I did.

Amanda J just make sure they’re in an established office and you have a good team. I was brand new in the industry so not for me. Everyone’s different.
Please don’t take offense to this, it’s just a comment I read on another REAs video about EXP and it was said that it’s a pyramid scheme. Now I don’t believe it I’m just here for possible thoughts on why someone would think it is such. I’m learning.
I feel like it’s very similar to the structure of a “pyramid scheme” aka MLM just because of the recruitment aspect. Agents will be trying to recruit other agents just to make money from being their sponsor. I think the problem is that there will be an increase of agents who will be so focused on recruitment instead of actual real estate and helping the people they are signing up on their teams.
I so wanted to join eXp but I’m a new agent and the process of joining has been terrible and way too long with zero support. I received another offer to join a smaller broker and in one email from them I received more help and information that I have in two weeks trying to join eXp. The support is terrible! Maybe instead of trying to grow as the super Broker they should pay more attention to the agents that are new and trying to join. Terrible support for new agents trying to join.

Yeah it was a big problem. They've gotten better as of lately since they added onboarding concierges and a department for it.
