    Great video Chastin, but what about family owned brokerages. A lot of them, at least in the upstate NY area don’t fall into either category. I work for Howard Hanna the #1 family owned company in the US and the #1 Real Estate Company In NY, PA, Ohio, SC and NC and there model is different from a franchise. Howard Hanna has infrastructure buildings but their isn’t any desk fees, or any of the other fees you mentioned for a franchise. Howard Hanna chargers a commission percentage plus a $149 fee to the consumer at closing, for example 3% + $149. Also we have a tab that we can run up with marketing products and don’t have to pay for until our next commission check. Also another broker that’s also family owned in my market pays for all the agents E&O insurance, Zillow/Realtor.com packages for the agents, TV showcase and cap agents at $14,000.

    Question: In a cloud brokerage like eXp, who is considered the principal broker to the affiliate broker?

    • @ChastinJMiles
      @ChastinJMiles  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      There is a different broker for each state/area

      VIP Realty is a cloud brokerage. I may pursue them. You might want to look into them and compare, as well.

    Would you consider Keller Williams a Franchise brokerage? I had a meeting w/ someone who is with KW & she was giving me some great numbers as far as- how much real estate is sold in a year, agents reaching the “cap” in x number of days or months. Would it be a great move for me to join as a beginning Realtor?

    • @TheKayleeanna

      KW is a franchise brokerage.

    How do you do paperwork with the cloud? Don’t you need a transaction coordinator to do that?

    Would you say as a new real estate agent starting off as a franchise to get hands on experience would be best and then after feeling comfortable transitioning to cloud?

      i second that question! deciding between a brokerage like Coldwell or eXp right now, such a tough decision.

      As a new real estate agent, you want the most support offered. Check out partnerwithcjm.com. For me, eXp is the best. Look into what the others offer and if it works for what your needs are. Hope this helps. Reach out with any questions.

    Good job great recruiting tool... I cannot get around the revenue share business plan... I cannot understand how you payout people until you pay your bills... and the stock options seems good for the ones who started earlier in the group and as people grow the stock that they give is less value as agents grow... also for teams I have heard it is good for the rainmaker not people under them and some people who have built teams have been fired for odd reasons... I am happy where I am at for the time being and I have a long way to go to say I have even a clue about being an agent... what impact do you think the redfins will be making on our occupation...

      I took my courses with Real Estate Express. 99% of the course is just reading the book. Hardly any sort of videos or graphics. You have to pay more to get into their live webinars. No zoom where you can see other classmates. If you want to interact with your classmates, they do have a discussion board.

    I'm offered to be trained as an agent then a broker. The individual showed me public info website of license/permits for a broker, insurance and a loan officer. The meeting was this night. I'm only being asked to pay for a live scan and a websites training fee, the a total of $80.
    Is the a scam? Is it too good to be true? Thanks!
