    I love your honesty! I just joined EXP a few weeks ago. There are so many resources and tools which is great. But yes, it can be pretty overwhelming. I have to say that I was apprehensive in joining because of the whole "cloud" concept because I thought I may not get help when needed, but that's totally not the case! I've been very supported and connect with others almost daily.

    I just passed my exam a week ago after the 9th try! I’ve been researching EXP for a few years now BECAUSE they’re a cloud brokerage and I really wanted to do training from home. It was between them and KW. KW was only for the support but I know they’re pricey. I was told that KW provides a lot of support but most locations require you to sit in a classroom most of your day. I’m a great online learner so I think EXP is right up my alley. Thanks for this video. I’m watching all of them.

    The onboarding process is much faster now. I submitted my application on August 30, 2019, @ 11:29 pm, and it's now Tuesday, September 3rd and I'm now an active agent with eXp. Just to point out how fast eXp is. This was Friday night @ 11:29 pm, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, September 2nd was a holiday. It's now Tuesday and I'm all in. I just have to go and watch the intro videos now. Excited to be a part of this great company and its' agents.

    I have been in real estate for 20 years and I have never experienced such a bad taste for another brokerage. The exp agents I have dealt with on 3 of the markets I covered seem very detached from the business, inexperienced and rude. Furthermore, ever since they got a hold of my information from a transaction I did with one of the exp agents; they have been calling me non stop trying to recruit me and my team. There are days that I get up to 7 calls from different exp agent trying to book a recruiting me and my team to move over. Truly annoying. Why not just sell real estate, there is enough business to go around.

    • @fairygardeners9195
      @fairygardeners9195 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      exp is the worst . Pushy recruiters only concerned about themselves and getting you under them . Customer service is horrible . Broker never responds ( over a month ) with no reply . You have to hunt someone down to get a simple answer . wouldn't recommend exp to anyone . It's like dealing with a blank wall 💩

    Thank you for sharing your experience, Chastin! Definitely looking forward to learn more from you.
    I am looking into getting my license here in Texas as well, so I am just doing research as to where I could work (potentially).
    I understand this online concept, but does that mean you turn your home into your office as well? What about when you are closing with a client? Where does that happen?
    Also, now that you have experienced eXp for some time, and you can compare to a brick & mortar company, would you still recommend eXp for a brand new agent? Or would you say get 1-2 years experience from a more traditional setting to learn, then switch over to this more independent setting.
    Thanks for reading! You are a great mentor!

    I've been a real estate broker for over 40 years. In the last six months I've had the displeasure of working with two different eXp realtors who represented buyers on two of my listings. Both agents were terrible communicators, didn't return phone calls, texts and/or emails.. It was clear that they didn't communicate well with their buyers. The agents didn't show up for inspections. Their Transaction Coordinators also had problems working with the eXp agents that they represented. The eXo agents simply seemed to be so distracted by other things in their lives that their buyers were very poorly represented. I will never, ever again work with an eXp agent.

    • @ChastinJMiles

      toboggan8 I think it’s fair to say that those scenarios could happen at any brokerage. I’ve been on sides and felt the same way about the agent on the other side and they were a part of a larger franchise.

    • @LivingSanFranciscoBayArea
      @LivingSanFranciscoBayArea 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Man that is very unfair. I don't even work at exp and I've encountered agents like that multiple times. That were not exp. You cannot associate a whole brokerage with bad agents. Bad agents are just that. Bad agents. By themselves.

    • @solarstarninja
      @solarstarninja 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've had 2 realtors with 2 different companies (Keller and Remax) and both were horrible at communication. Never got replies until a week later, constant extensions, not answering questions. Lots of eye rolling when we said we didn't like a home. I think it's just going to depend on the person, not the company. That same realtor with Exp could have worked for Keller before and acted the same way.

    Thank you for making this video. I have been thinking about exp... I like the Broker split much better. I have about 5 years experience with a full service broker with a stellar reputation who is strong in my area and have some opportunities lining up for the first of the year so I would need to make my transition as quick and seamless as possible?
    One concern that I have is with no brick and mortar office, do clients take you less seriously? There are no Regus offices near me either. Keller Williams has a similar
    plan and a brick and mortar office but their reputation is no great in the industry. The other thing is when I put on a broker open house, every agent in my office shows up.
    I am in Georgia. Is the Broker of record an actively practicing broker here in the state of Georgia or just a broker in Washington with a Georgia Real Estate license.

    I am debating whether to join the team or start my own. I am a brand new agent and I want to make a right decision. A person I spoke with about joining team told me that it will be 50/50 split and I think that's a lot to split with someone who might provide the same support as the company itself. What do you think? Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts here!

      @Nikki Davidson. It’s 80/20 until your $16k cap is paid (around $2.5M volume), then commission is 100%. If you do 20 more deals, you get your $16k cap back. There is much more to the splits too - such as stocks and revenue sharing. They also rolled out medical insurance for the agents.
