tbf its been stated multiple times that batman fears joker because he's very unpredictable. His level of insanity is just so bizzarre compared to batman's other opponents
@@aerodynamiccow3597 The fact he didnt try to see if it was a trick by the joker and just accepted it angers me. Batman is in my opinion evil for allowing evil to continue for his code. I was reading the comments before I got to that part, and then I saw yours, and I was like “I wonder how bad it is. Like, is it just a couple of distant yells?” But then it got to it, and I too, could’ve lived without hearing those screams. Props to the voice actor, they really capture all the emotions well.
What’s very scary is the fact that after a moment he ended up being so twisted like the joker that he actually respects him referring to him as sir and being so easily willing to drop Bruce’s identity
Reminded me of Tim drake from Batman the animated series where Joker you guessed it tortures him to become an ACTUAL joker and I guess to try and make him stop tells him Bruce’s identity
He didn’t just have the goons dress up as Batman to beat him. He’d drug him with fear toxin and then have them beat the shit out of him until one day joker let him fight back and gave him the choice to kill them. And he did.
When I read that I was thinking They probably sexually abused him too considering the fact that rape is very common in prison and it said the inmates played with them
The lines from 5:45 to 6:34 are truly heart-wrenching and just... incredible. Troy Baker did such a fantastic job capturing Jason's pain and hopelessness through his voice... Joker has never felt like more of a monster than in that scene.
I thought him torturing Tim and turning him into a miniature Joker was horrific enough but considering how much Jason went through over the course of 2 years compared to the 3 weeks Tim endured this is actually much worse
yeah i'll say Jason fate in the Arkham verse is so much worse than the comics, getting beaten up for the better part of an afternoon then dying is real bad, but two years of physical, mental and emotional abuse and manipulation is horrifying.
Yea i remember his screams being disturbing. Joker seriously broke him. He was no longer a badass superhero..he was now a helpless victim. Screamed like a scared child.
That’s what makes Batman so impressive. The fact that even after all that, Batman still remembers his moral code and follows it. It’s really what makes him so unique. In his best incarnations, Batman NEVER breaks.
In the animated series, at least Joker just hits Jason with a crowbar a few times, and (memory may not be right) Joker only kept him for a few days, then Todd managed to get out of the chair on his own when Joker left him with a ticking bomb and locked the door - though he still got caught in the explosion That’s how Jason became RH in that iteration, it was far more forgiving In the game, Jason’s kept with Joker for 2 goddamn years… Fucking hell, I don’t know how any human being is capable of handling that much stress, at that point your immune system and everything else would start failing you I’m surprised Todd didn’t do some Godhand shit, even the emotionally distant Griffith only handled under a year of torture and was broken, yet Jason managed to be an anti-hero in the end, big props to him
Lol waaaay worse Griffith was flayed, his tongue was cut out, his penis cut off (I think), cut all over his body, starved (like joker starved Jason but he still had his muscle mass but Griffith was damn near just bone, tendons cut, he basically was half a vegetable
Can you imagine how much darker Arkham Knight would have been to see a child like in the Red Hood movie in barbed wired and tortured by the Joker instead of what looks like a eighteen year old?
@@SlimKim3 You're not understanding what I'm talking about respectfully. I'm just saying if Jason was a kid like the movie and comic it'd be more dark.
@@omardiagne9185 I don't know, this game is rated M. And given the fact there's a PG-13 movie showing different angles of Joker beating a boy with a crowbar. Not that hard for a rated M game to have a child going through a chair in barbed wire and having his arms suspended upward while his legs are cuffed. Overall Arkham Knight pales in comparison to what the comics had with Jason being tortured.

Yes he's serious. You don't find resolve by killing another even if he killed your loved one. Kill him so what? Does your loved one ever come back? Okok, just an edit here, I get what people are saying, but I was referring to one of the DC shows where superman did kill Lex Luthor (alt universe). He became a tyrant after.
My sister once asked me, while watching me play the Arkham games, why I'm so into terrifying the Joker's thugs. When it came to Two-Face or Penguin thugs, I'd just knock them out, but I'd take my time to scare Joker's men whenever possible. Jason is just one of several reasons. Nothing we can really do to "break" the clown prince of crime, but the same can't be said for his men. Have them all panicking, like, endlessly.
@@cornholio8739 Tell me about it. I'd be grappling them around the room, knocking them around with Batman's cape and busting through windows until they were randomly shooting stuff.

This sent chills down my spine . Hearing Jason screaming and begging to stop was so sad. Not only did Joker break Jason's body but he also broke his spirit .
I get Jasons hands was tied but he’s still a deadly fighter never understood why he could retaliate on joker whenever he wasn’t fully restrained then again being sleep deprived and starving can do that to someone’s body
3:49 man how Jason whimpers and squirms make me feel like hes still a scared child, who, even while he tries to act tough, he still desperately wants the love and protection that his father never gave him, which is something that tugs at my heart 😭
@@Muddy-Goldfish72 I guess what I meant was that, after all the training Batman gave him, he developed a thick shell, but the Joker broke him enough for the scared kid to come out.
This is why red hood is one of my favorite DC characters, he has a backstory that truly makes his terrible terrible nature seem excusable. Sure he's kinda a revenge filled killer after it all but there's a reason for it, being tortured for 2 years by THE JOKER is insane
That doesn't feel like good writing though. The original Red Hood killed because he saw that killing people like the Joker could prevent deaths like his, and the pain that someone like Batman felt for it. The original Jason was beaten for minutes, not hours, or days, or years. That's some fucked up sociopathic level of writing to think you need to sink that low to write a compelling character. And if I'm critiquing a reading of a character, it feels so shallow to be like "yes, this character is deep because they were tortured for years." Like. Buddy. The fuck do you need to get off?
What are you talking about? Jason was revived by R'as Al Ghul in tge movie. In the infinite crisis comics, Superboy Prime's reality-shattering punch raised Jason from the grave. There are too many people assuming they know what they're talking about because it was in an animated feature. While DC animations are well produced and interesting, they veer from the source material as much as the films do. Referencing the animated features as if they're canon is kinda silly, given that every medium compiles different events in the comics as a hodge podge.
I read a wattpad story, the name is "just another robin" and it's about jason being forgotten amongst the bat family, especially by bruce, and the bat family, excluding bruce until later on, tries to make him realize he's in the bat family. There was this particular moment that truly hit me in the gut, but before i tell it to you, the writer changed some things, so you won't get confused. Damian was talking to jason, "I do not know what you were to my father, or my father was to you, but nevertheless you once held the mantle of Robin. Your logic does not make sense to me. Why did you not return after you came back?" They both knew what it was like to die, but the aftermath were dramatically different. Jason finally snapped and shouted, "You wanna know why?!" he continued shouting, "Because i clawed my way out of my own damn grave and Bruce never even knew it. I was in a coma and then i spent a year as a brain dead zombie on the streets that he patrols every night." Jason's voice betrayed him. "And then when Talia finally kicked me into a Lazarus Pit, i came back to find that i had already been long replaced and the bastard that murdered me was still out there killing people. I didn't have a place there anymore, i didn't have -Robin.- My empty slot in the 'family' had already been filled." he continued, "So i became Red Hood. And even now nothing has changed to Bruce, Jason Todd is Dead. Why do you think he still keeps the memorial case up?" Jason continued, his voice rising, "Damian, he views me as his biggest failure. Because i'll never be talented like Dick, or smart like Tim, or his actual son like you. All i was to anyone was a street rat pretending to be a hero." Damian was staying oddly quiet. "I'm the one the other Robins are told not to be like. I was a soldier that was too messed up to follow orders and got himself killed." He shouted. "But no one ever cared to ask about that little tidbit where my own mother was the one who betrayed me and handed me over to the Joker." Jason continued, Loudly. "That's why i couldn't go home then, and why i certainly can't now. Because all i was to Bruce was a defective Robin." Jason finished. This really shows how his life was just as messed up as bruce's, but the difference was that no one really cared about it until they finally realized their mistake. (In this story)
If only Bruce knew someone with super hearing. If only he know world class telepaths and magicians...but alas he doesn't. Oh fucking wait, he does. The fuck.

I don't think we ever really needed a story about what exactly happened to Jason in the Arkham games. The line, "You left me to rot in that abandoned wing in Arkham for over a year, with him," was haunting enough.
I personally think we did. I've watched quite a few playthroughs of the game and several people interpreted Jason as just a crybaby or a liar. It's important for people to understand why Jason was so pissed off, and why he hated Batman so much

Hmm 🤔. I'm pretty sure he had to have some form of freedom such as food or care in the daytime since The Joker would torture him at night, so maybe the corrupt cop fed him and let him bathe or something like that.

Dont blame Tim Drake for killing him either, while Tim Drake's torture wasnt as bad as Jason's it was still terrible. (Robin was patrolling alone one night. Upon hearing a scream of terror, Robin thought he was saving a lone woman from thugs but instead, fell into a trap set by the Joker and Harley Quinn. For three long weeks, at the old Arkham Asylum, Tim was mercilessly tortured with electro-shock and chemical injections. The Joker also took the opportunity to implant a microchip at the base of Tim's skull that contained an encoded version of the Joker's DNA and memories. During the course of the torture, the Joker learned the precious secrets entrusted to Robin. Not content with just destroying Tim's mind he sought to further humiliate Batman. To this end, the Joker transformed Tim into a crude version of himself. Tim's skin was bleached white, dying his hair green and twisting Tim's mouth into a grotesque Joker-like grin. Because of the torture and makeover he endured for the three weeks, he was also rendered unable to communicate in any way except with demented laughter. Renaming him "Joker Junior" aka "J.J." the Joker claimed Drake as his and Harley's new son, and planned on using Drake to destroy Batman. During the battle that followed, the Joker gave Tim a gun and ordered him to kill Batman with it. Tim laughed uncontrollably and fought with the choice whether or not kill Batman. He finally killed the Joker instead, after which he completely broke down in the arms of Batgirl. After these events, Commissioner Gordon quickly covered up the incident and nothing was ever made public.) -This is all from the Batman Beyond: the return of joker movie, this paragraph was written on this website: batman.fandom.com/wiki/Tim_Drake_(DC_Animated_Universe) But yes, the Joker has every right to be killed because of what he has done to these 2 poor boys :(

The most emotional line from Jason Todd is in his interview tapes. At one point, he shouts "I CAN FIX IT!" And describes killing Batman. His voice is shaking and trembling, and you can practically feel how traumatized and broken he is. The Joker screwed him up. Horribly.
1:11 Those screams are HAUNTING. And to hear Joker's laughter echoing off the walls between those screams makes Jason's anguish even more painful to listen to

that's just the thing, Bruce Wayne is not a stable person to begin with. He was traumatized as a child by his parents murder to the point he vows to fight crime behind the mask of Batman. None of his actions taken ever since his childhood trauma was logical to begin with. He was so illogically afraid of murder so much that he just can't help but let a psychotic killer like Joker go free. A person doesn't make rational decisions when they've experienced trauma and became mentally unstable. So him saying "Don't pretend to understand" actually makes more sense than Jason could have thought at that moment. He wasn't saying that just because of the obsession towards his no killing moral code alone. A large part that fuels that obsession over the rational decision to kill Joker was because he was just so afraid of murder and becoming a murderer. simple as that. Joker enjoys killing the shit out of everyone and he knows the fact that Batman can't kill despite the fact he comes to beat his ass everytime, that's why he said that they need each other. Joker is both everything Batman is afraid of and are fighting against and Batman is everything Joker is not.
In the movie, when the bomb is about to go off, my heart sank so low when I saw Jason’s expression. It’s so subtle, going from brief panic to acceptance and maybe even relief. That simple expression really speaks volumes as to the pain he endured.

I think people misunderstood something about Batman during Jasons death. People kept thinking Batman doesn’t care or that Batman was refusing to cross his no killing rule. But after Jason’s death was when Batman was at his most brutal in his entire career. Infact Tim Drake (The one after Jason) Stood up and Became a Robin because he was scared that Batman might cross the line without someone to help him through his grief. Batman was slowly descending into his anger and was very VERY close to dropping his morals for good. But Tim Drake stepped in before Batman could fall and became a shining ray of Hope in Batman’s life. I mean in the Arkhamverse we know that Tim reminds Batman of Jason, when Batman accidentally calls Tim, Jason. Tim says “Huh you haven’t done that in awhile” implying that Tim reminds Batman of Jason. Essentially Batman was about to start killing but Tim reminded Batman of Jason, and got him through his Grief. Without Tim, Batman would’ve no doubt killed someone (Probably the Joker). What I don’t understand is why all the inmates tortured him at all, Inmates like Bane typically don’t Torture like that. Infact Arkham Bane was actually one of his more honorable incarnations, I get that there all psychopaths. But I can’t see some of these guys like Penguin and Two-Face genuinely being interested in Torturing a Child. Me personally if I was told to torture Robin and I found out the kid was barely older than my siblings, I wouldn’t do it.
The inmates torturing him were probably the more deranged of the bunch, ones like Professor Pyg who excel in that stuff. Babe would probably lose interest after day 2.
Yes, you wouldn't. But these are Arkham Patients that associate with a Guy. Who wants to pump downtown Gothan with lethal laughing Gas every other week. Do you really think they have any levels of morality as you and me. Fuck sakes average Joe Criminals would be horrified. Probably put a bullet in him and be done with it, but long halloween should of made it clear. GOTHAM VILLAINS ARE NOT TO BE FUXKED WITH.
Good points. But to your last point I think its obvious why they would torture him. Arkham is a horrible place, it's torture for the villains, who are in there following some failed plot thwarted by Batman. From a position of power I'm Gotham to being confined to a padded room. So these villains are at their most angry and vengeful of Batman, but they can't torture Batman, but Robin is the next best thing. As for Robin being a kid I doubt that would make any difference to any of them. He was even younger when he took them on face to face and probably stomped them stupid. Giving them the impression of him "acting like a man" and thus deserving of adult consequences, which many abusers use to justify their actions. Furthermore, the villains in Batman are often restricted in their full ferociousness by the fact that Batman in many iterations is marketed towards kids. Often resulting in them being a vehicle for some kind of lesson about people, or having cartoony objectives like the time Joker started selling his own brand of smiling fish. Which makes them seem, at times, sympathetic and potentially redeemable. But in the more mature iterations the full extent of their depravity can be explored, and we're reminded that at their core they are sadistic and psychotic animals who are literally criminally insane and capable of anything, no matter how sick. However, I don't really dig people trying to perpetuate the theory he was SA'd; as there's nothing to actually suggest that ever happened in any Batman comic ever, let alone the games. And it's actually kind of gross to even think about so I don't know why anyone would think its appropriate or something legitimately intended in the narrative. 🤮 I think my first point owes more to the mentions of Joker letting inmates use Jason to "blow off steam". Imagine you're Bane and you're raw after just being remitted to Arkham once again, and then Joker says he has the kid that once gave you a serious beating and totally emasculated you, tied up in am abandoned part of Arkham and you can go smack him around if you want. I figure each villains methods varied according to their powers but I think it ultimately amounted to just brutal beatings mixed with long periods of being left bound in a dank, dark, disgusting room slowly going insane until someone comes and starts beating him again while telling him Batman doesn't care about him. Really, the psychological aspect is the worst of what Robin went through. He was one of, if not the toughest Robin, even Batman couldn't understand how they beat him, but Jason was the most psychologically vulnerable Robin, and Joker played off that. Anyways, just some thoughts. Cheers mate.
What's even more sad that in the comic the reason Jason got captured by joker was coz his mom ratted him out and handed him over to joker Jason thought he was going there to save her but he got killed instead
This is horrifying bro. Especially when it said the inmates tortured and played with him. I know what it is, but I don't even want to further imagine what that "played" means. His story makes me sick.
For people wondering how Batman didn’t find him, let me explain Now yes, Joker sent Batman a footage of Jason’s death, which made Batman think Jason died (when he didn’t) but it’d not just that, the reason why Batman couldn’t find Jason was because there was no clue... there wasn’t a hint from Joker, no tracking, nothing. Detectives always are given clues to solve but unfortunately, Batman had no clue of hint to solve on where Jason could be which made him clueless. He probably searched every place where Joker has been and he just gave up. Which is why Batman put a tracker on Dick and (probably) Tim’s suit so whenever they get lost, they will have a tracker so Batman can find them.
@@Mouseman358I’ll come back and edit this later but it Felt like he did to me. I don’t know it just seems as though Batman has been backsliding into being like the Joker lately.
See what happens when you don’t kill people like joker who deserve it because it’s part of your code🗿Batman should have someone that executed the worst people so he doesn’t have to instead of letting them go over and over
Ok so basically, the Joker wants to be killed by Batman, because he knows it’s against Batman’s code. This will mess with Batman, beyond the Jokers grave. That’s why he does this crap, to push Batman over the edge, so Batman kills him. (Edit) Batman knows the Joker wants to die by his hands. That’s why Batman doesn’t, it’s more punishing for the Joker.
Injustice super man was some how right, everytime he let joker live someone else has to die.. What is the point of letting him live if some one die again & again
One other thing I'd like to add onto what everyone's saying: The Joker is insane and twisted and pure evil. True. But what makes him what he is is that *he KNOWS it.* He knows for a FACT that he's horrible, he knows what he's doing, knows he's good at it, and he uses that fact to his advantage. The reason Harleen Quinzel got with him and went all clown? She thought she could save him. He manipulated her into thinking she could make him better, and was making him better, until he dropped the bomb (almost literally) and she became Harley Quinn. The reason he has a different backstory every time you ask? Because he WANTS you to fall into the "I Can Fix Him!" train. He wants you to think he's redeemable. The true evil of The Joker lies in his complete and utter 100% cognizance of everything in his mind, and his knowledge that other people don't know that. THAT'S why as long as Joker lives, he is always dangerous, never safe, and should never be trusted. As long as Joker is alive, the horrible things that happen in his wake will never stop. And he knows that. On the other hand, his ultimate goal is to die at the hands of Batman. If Batman kills Joker, Joker wins. Because Joker amps up every single time only to see just how far Bruce will go until snapping and killing him. He always puts the knife in Batman's hands (sometimes literally), but Batman doesn't kill him because he KNOWS that that's what Joker wants. The Joker's whole existence revolves around the perpetual cycle of Batman and his villains, simply because he's Batman's greatest villain. He is the antithesis of what Batman stands for in every way. And one of the things Batman stands for is "never kill." And so he kills and kills and kills until Batman finally caves. That's where the real horror of the Joker lies. He's just playing a game, one where no matter who Bruce can save, no matter how many times Bruce locks him away, no matter if Batman were to shoot him in the face, Joker ALWAYS wins.
And the terrifying thing is that in some versions of Batman, the most recent being Batman Who Laughs, he actually does cross that line and literally became joker because of it. Granted it was because joker had a drug in his system released upon death that would turn anyone near him into jokerized people but still Batman himself, without that joker toxin, would have nothing left holding him back if he were to cross the line.
Actually, there is a way for the joker to lose: die of natural causes, and have Batman be killed by someone unaffiliated with Batman or the joker. It’s been seen multiple times that the joker has saved Batman’s life when it’s not him about to kill Batman. Then, the joker wouldnt have anyone to “play with”.
I'm sick of people acting like this is in the hands of Batman. The police should've taken their shot and the justice system should already have him gone.
I always found it so stupid that the reason Batman never kills Joker is because that way Joker wins and Batman is going to become a serial killer. Is Joker's ego and wish to be killed by Batman really more important than the lives he destroys every single minute he's alive? I do like Batman but he really pisses me off with his whole no kill policy. Villains like Joker aren't ever going to change. That's very clear after his like 500 stint in Arkham. That's why I like anti-heros more, because they aren't afraid to kill a bitch.
look now I completely understand why Jason wanted to kill joker for what he did to him and I would be the exact same way but if I was in todd's shoes and managed to get my hands on joker I would then do that same thing he did to me and yes that may be evil but if he tortured me for that long and put me through all that agony and suffering and then i know that no one is coming to save me then i would definitely become what Jason became or perhaps worse
That’s why I’m not a fan of the red hood of the past five or so years, he is a villain driven by hate, not just nightwing with a gun that doesn’t even have leathal bullets
@@snakefate9888 the reason why I love red Hood is because even after over a year of torture he was still able to recover from trying to kill Batman, when he had been conditioned and broken into believing that he was the source of his pain, and after seeing Batman's flawed logic, still he is able to move past the hatred for him and work with him in a way that gets rid of the bad for good, plus he's badass
In the Arkham universe, joker was long dead when he became the Arkham knight. So that's why he wanted to get revenge on joker. In the normal comic, he was beaten for probally an hour or less before dying. Then he got revived and beat the joker, then he got him, joker and batman together. If you want the rest, type in under the red hood ending
4:46 5:06 His desperation, pleas, sobs and fear made me cry and feel so bad for him I just wish I could save him from his horrible torture, hug him tightly and let him cry it out and tell him it's going to be okay....

It’s not even that serious. Literally the cries for help sounded fake asf. I’ve seen movies with better piercing screams than this. Just take it for what it is; a silly comic book
Man Troy baker is one of the most talented actors I know. He played joker, Batman, Jason Todd, night wing, Joel Miller, Sam drake, and they all have such different range of voices. Amazing.
It's only the billionth character he's played in a video game and one of at least three characters he voices in Batman: Arkham Knight (Two-Face, Tim Drake/Robin and Jason Todd/Arkham Knight/Red Hood), but yes, he's really good at what he does, and as usual, he did an excellent job. He's just in literally everything. He can and should still get plenty of work (because he really is great in most of his roles), but the industry also needs to allow for a broader talent pool to take prominent VA roles.
Most people thought that Jason was being a little bit ridiculous in Arkham Knight but if people actually knew all the stuff Joker put him through then way more people would understand
Yeah but I hate it when people get mad at Batman for not kill him or his rogue gallery but they probably don't know Batman Famous Line it always with one. I know it’s kind of irrelevant in this timeline, but this is one of the reasons why I partially supported Superman in the injustice timeline. Joker has caused way too much damage to so many people. It caused Superman to go off the rails. The screams of Jason were very disturbing! I just loved this game, but this was a very unsettling game!
I wish we could have an alternate Universe DC Black Label Book where this damaged version of Jason Todd/Red Hood goes out for revenge and gives a Garth Ennis style living hell to Joker, inmates that assisted in torturing Jason, Frank Boles (Prison Guard), Batman, and the GCPD. This would be more satisfying than Todd Phillips and Martin Scorsese’s attempt of making Joker sympathetic and “relatable”.
I have absolutely no idea how Batman was able to keep his deadpan composure after seeing Jason like that. If I were Batman and I finally found Jason after thinking that he was dead for over two years, I would've just burst into tears and hugged him, especially after hearing those haunting screams too... I just know for a fact that I wouldn't have been able to stay emotionless like that
And the fact that he punishes and tortures himself by watching the "death" video for his guilt and regret over and over as we see Alfred's sad reply from watching it in the Arkham VR game. "Must we relive this so often Master Bruce?"
I like the theory that The Joker is a former black ops operative or interrogator, would definitely explain his knowledge of torture and his expertise with weapons
I find the Arkham games to have the most powerful effect due to troy bakers voice acting. It sounds like hes actually being tortured in the sound booth and its mortifying. His performance is astounding and its really underappreciated. He does really well during his final fight, you really hear his internal conflict, and whenever his voice cracks it speaks volumes. And I know this is a really controversial and hot take, but I think it was a better choice that he didnt actually die. The militia was pretty ridiculous and the lack of joker mulls it down a bit, but jason actually living is so much better. Idk how to explain it, it just is imo.
In the comics Jason was in the warehouse for a few hours being beeten by a crowbar and then the bomb exploded. In the Arkhamverse he was tortured for months by the Joker in the Asylum. It's so frightening.
Agreed. What kind of moral code is it to not kill someone under those conditions? Joker’s not the type to stop and clearly prison/asylum isn’t going to prevent him either. I would’ve been killed Joker if he did that to my kid. And Joker sent the man videos? Batman lost so much of my respect, how could he just not kill him?
@@crazygamer_1082 did you watch the movie. It’s because Batman admitted to not being psychologically stable. in general rule, snyder just wants things to be dark for the sake of it even if it comes at the price of substance or the cost of well developped characters batman is batman because of his morals and him as a person, if you have an alternate universe where batman is the opposite then you might just create a new character that doesn't have anything to do with batman other than looks i could say the same for superman, how any other movies or series on him gave him restrictions because his morals made it that he had to to his task while saving everyone from danger, the challenge wasn't an opponent stronger than him, but an opponent that could cause enormous collateral damage or keep a large population in hostage while doing the deeds like in BvM or Man of steel, superman gives zero shits and destroys hundreds of buildings while fighting his opponent, like when he pushes zod's head against a building while flying, collapsing it, or him going the other side of the planet to destroy a flying thing while he had immediate dangers to take care of first at least in joss version of justice league, he kept the part where batman talked about his mortality and how close he neared death a few hours before, but naaah, snyder go brrrrr
That's why Under the Red Hood story doesn't work in Arkham-verse, because Joker is dead, most of people believe that Batman killed Joker, you can hear the criminals talk about it in Arkham City after the final battle, Jason in comicbook/movie wanted Batman to kill the Joker, to make him believe that Batman still cares about him, so he would punish Joker, but Joker is dead, no need to fight.
That’s what I thought in the beginning, but in most versions Jason was tortured for a short period of time, but in the Arkhamverse he was tortured for a full year which is why his mind snapped
He wants to kill Batman for not saving him. He hates both of them. Jason was tortured for 2 years and then Jason found out he was replaced with Tim. So that's why he hated him so much, then helped him in the end of AK.
That's what I thought too but since in arkham he never actually dies so it's kinda like batman just failed to save him for years. I find jason to be more compelling when his motivation is wanting batman to avenge his death though but him being mad about being tortured for years and getting replaced is also makes sense to me. Honestly batman was a really bad detective when it came to jason

@Fanjanhong * it doesn’t make sense but it’s the truth. Batman has extremely strong will to not have killed joker and other villains, but why do you think he beats the hell out of enemies so willingly? Because he wants to kill them, but he can’t. And if he did he’d snap.

The problem is not Batman, it is the Gotham police, he literally locks him up, but whoever locks him up in a psychiatric hospital, Batman follows what the law says, he is like a policeman nothing more, the problem is the corruption of Gotham for not murdering a serial killer.
He did sorta. Joker was missing just as long as Jason. The next time he saw joker was after he had already presumed Jason dead and finished all stages of grief. In that time where Jason was missing, The creature of the night was at his most brutal. He only really stopped when Tim (3rd robin) volunteered to be robin and filled the gap in batman's life.
At some point you have to realize that “moral code” is causing pain for innocent people. Sure he’s never broken it... but for people to act like it’s a good thing is a mind bender.
He's a disturbed individual wearing a batsuit. Yes the code is stupid but Bruce is so traumatized he most probably can't see how dumb his only rule is.
I think the rule is respectable, to a degree. But Bruce has inferred many times that the rule, in many ways, is for himself. If he broke it, he would snap. For all of his mental strength, that is Bruce's anchor - if he cuts it away, he'll drift into the sea of uncertainty, shrouded in a endless fog of madness.

Batman should have amputated all Joker's limbs, crushed his voice box and made him blind. That way, he could never hurt anyone again. But hey, at least he would not be dead!

When it came to Two-Face or Penguin thugs, I'd just knock them out, but I'd take my time to scare Joker's men whenever possible. Jason is just one of several reasons. This is why red hood is one of my favorite DC characters, he has a backstory that truly makes his terrible terrible nature seem excusable. Sure he's kinda a revenge filled killer after it all but there's a reason for it, being tortured for 2 years by THE JOKER is insane
Debatable. It's not like he hunted down all the villains in Gotham. He can just tell there's nothing else there with joker, only chaos.
@@handgun559 you really just freaked out for no reason 🤨
@Deandre Dixon Bro what? This is from a flashback.

Why did you not return after you came back?"
They both knew what it was like to die, but the aftermath were dramatically different.

After these events, Commissioner Gordon quickly covered up the incident and nothing was ever made public.)

And secondly the thing you should really be complaining about is why the justice league hasn't built some kind of super prison made to contain these psychopaths
I think my first point owes more to the mentions of Joker letting inmates use Jason to "blow off steam".
Yeah it’s really weird how some of them tortured Jason. In fact most of Batman’s villains respect the robins.

For people wondering how Batman didn’t find him, let me explain
Now yes, Joker sent Batman a footage of Jason’s death, which made Batman think Jason died (when he didn’t) but it’d not just that, the reason why Batman couldn’t find Jason was because there was no clue... there wasn’t a hint from Joker, no tracking, nothing.

@@ortheum4217 oh no i like hearing is screams :)
Injustice super man was some how right, everytime he let joker live someone else has to die.. What is the point of letting him live if some one die again & again
One other thing I'd like to add onto what everyone's saying:
The Joker is insane and twisted and pure evil.
@@bk7064 This is also very true, but remember this is comic books we're talking about XD

Honestly I’m glad they did, or else we wouldn’t have got this amazing character (red hood)
It hurt...to hear Jason scream for "Mom"
when
@@penguinking5391 like 1:26 i think

I'm not sure if it's "mom" , it also sounds like a scream. But it's still so sad :(
5:28 Damn bro.. That really made me feel bad for the guy..
This full on destroyed my heart 😢😢
Batman should have amputated all Joker's limbs, crushed his voice box and made him blind. That way, he could never hurt anyone again. But hey, at least he would not be dead!
@FinnicVoice no excuses for DC, they easily could have integrated that in the Arkham games or Animated movies, just Batman beating the absolute crap out of the Joker. I really didn’t get much out of The Robert Pattinson trailer because he just messed up a random thug I couldn’t give a damn about. If the Joker shows up at that universe and Batman doesn’t do worse to him, I will never forgive Matt Reeves or Fans for enforcing that Bull Crap.
@@Seasonal-Shadow_4674 He does that in arkham origins lol
@@aledg25 he was more deserving of it hear and I wish it lead to that damaged Joker appearance Jared Leto had
@@Seasonal-Shadow_4674 leto was ashit a joker with a shit look. The snyder verse isn't a good role model or source of the batman and joker relationship
@@mattgillet6917 I kind of liked the Snyder Batman, I could easily see them doing a whole redemption ark thing with him. But yeah the joker was a joke... pun intended
Bruh I hate that Batman is just “ I’m sorry, we can do this together” like no more it’s more than sorry my mans robin got torurted it ain’t just sorry
@Salik Collins it ain’t. He can do damn more. And it Happened way worse in the comments. Robin was beaten, tortured. Way worse than this.
@Salik Collins it all Batman’s fault. He took him with him. Batman knew better deep inside
The way it ends in “Batman: Under the Red Hood” is a lot better
@@ethrawn373 lmao he did the same thing wym
@Salik Collins you like your own comment stfu kid
The fact that everybodys complaining about batman not killing joker shows how well written he is. batman is flawed and this helps us understand why some characters dont like him.
Joker would have won if Batman decided to kill him.
That's what Joker wants is to break Batman anyway possible.
Mentality and Physically.
Going after loved ones to try and break him get him to snap.
And could you imagine if Batman suddenly snapped and executed every criminal? The public would then start to be kinda weary of Batman. Fear if left unchecked creates unrest and anger. Then anger explodes with Violence.
@@Whocares158 Oh, so answer is to just let Homicidal Maniac, who took the lives of many people, run around? Yeah no that whole "If you kill me, I win" is so dumb and pointless now.
@@l0singzanity1 that's true. That phrase is so overdone and bland. Who gives a damn if he "wins"? He's dead, simple as that
@@l0singzanity1 the thing is the joker knows batman a bit too well, he knows that if he kills him he woul probably just keep going, killing the villains as he wouldn't be satisfied with killing him, knowing he was defeated, and all his code thing was for nothing, all his mistakes would hunt him as he KNOWS he wasn't right in his code, but neither was killing the clown, So if batman takes a step into killing....he probably wouldn't be able to stop
5:37 jason’s begs and off screen yell with joker’s laugh is heartbreaking and shows just how scary joker can rlly be 😳
This shows the true nature of joker. It can remind people that they shouldn’t romanticize him.
Edit: Yaaaayy! I have a lot of likes and people are arguing in the chat!
@Eowyn Post th-cam.com/video/YzfUj-m2I6I/w-d-xo.html This is why I hate videos and people like this. They disgust me after watching Joker torturing Jason.
Funny I got a friend who literally had a museum of him and loves Harley but he's a great person. Sucks because I love Red Hood but he's ignorant to who he was and what was done to the kid.
@@nomad155 Well maybe I overstepped what I said. It’s OK to be a big fan of him. It’s just that there are people out there who are crazy saying that joker is right and what he does
@@Bb-jh9fo I don't think you did as you had good reason to say so. I thought the same way. It's the same way folks wanna romanticize gang violence like So Capone or crips and Bloods, but aren't about it.
My friend has pics everywhere and loves dressing as him so I plan to go as Red Hood and Beat em with a crowbar 😂. I despise the Joker and if you read the 3 jokers story you'll get some kind of satisfaction.
Personally I wouldn't kill an cause he's literally the person who wants you to break (Dark Knight returns) and I just don't wanna give em that satisfaction.
@Oni true but alot of people romanticize him from that. And I’m glad Black Adam is finally getting a movie because villains like him. And what’s wrong with having villains that are unsympathetic?
Can we just take a moment to appreciate Jason and the jokers voice actors. Truly chilling
What's next DC? Torture Jason Simulator 2021?
Give the guy a damn break
@@fidalgo2954 *dumbass*
@@fidalgo2954 That would be morbid on too many levels to count
Jason is only an interesting character in his torture, death and anger. When he's happy he's just really bland and boring.
DC has a hardon for the Joker and torturing Jason.
