When I saw them live a few months ago I turned to my friend after the song ended and said that riff could have gone on for another 10 minutes and I would have been happy.

Literally just heard these guys for the first time last week and I'm just floored by how much I love it. This song has been on repeat for days in my head.
Gotta be honest, the guitarist and lyricist side of Nick is bloody glorious, no doubt about it. The vocalist side though.... meh. But here's where it gets interesting. Because it sounds like far away cry of despair it really suits the style of the band : lengthy and tortuous songs + lonely cry of despair = WIN.

Hey, you may want to try Grotto. They're an instrumental band with some similar musical structure/themes/riffs to Elder.
