    At the end of the riding day,how difficult are these tusk panniers to remove and take it to the hotel room?

      i would say they are more designed to stay in place and allow you to quickly remove the dry bags. To remove the whole setup is only like 5 straps though.

    Nice video! Can you tell me what you have for your front window? A different kind of frame?

      for the windshield? I 3D printed this mount www.thingiverse.com/thing:5209957 which changes the windshield angle by 15 degrees. Its great and gives me more room to mount my phone behind the wind screen.

    What are your thoughts on having it sit so far forward because of the grab handles. Is it worth it to remove the grab handles?

      it doesn't bother me. I actually use the grab handles a bit so I didn't want to lose them. it does make everything wider which could be a problem in some situations I suppose.

    I just bought the Highland System for my 890 R. I haven't unboxed it yet so thanks for the install video. One question. What is the seat pad you have and do you like it?

      I'm just finishing a trip this week and the bags have been great. The seat pad is an Air Hawk but I'm not sure if they are still around. I've seen this brand Wild Ass and it looks like their "Smart" model is very close to my air hawk. Mine has a Neoprene inside and you can blow air into it to easily change the firmness. I've had it for years on many bikes and I stopped buying custom seats after I discovered these. I would definitely recommend this style.

    Thanks for the video. This looks so similar to MM Reckless 80, curious whats the total weight of the setup when its empty

      i havent weighed them myself, but Rocky Mountain says the bags are 6 pounds. I expect thats just the side bags and base, not the add on bags and duffle

    Hey just got these for my 890 wondering how yours did without heat shield? Would rather not use it on mine if it worked for you. Also wondering how the stock top plate did?

      @FeathersOffroad  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      the stock exhaust has a small heat shield in just the right place so that was not an issue at all. I was very happy with the bags, did almost 2000 miles paved/off-road. the stock plate was also fine, but I did find myself a couple of times wishing there was a little more there. I've got the Tusk top plate but I haven't put it on yet

      @@FeathersOffroad Great thanks for the info. I put it all together and I see what you mean by stock exhaust guard. Was thinking about taking the hand holds off the stock back plate to see if that moves the side bags down a bit on mine. Good to know I don't have to worry about the heat. Thanks again.
