Crossing Creeks and Conquering Peaks
We got most of the toys out and went to the mountains to try and avoid the summer heat. This area is home to some of the highest peaks in Utah and on this ride we reached breathtaking heights of over 10,000 feet. I was riding the Nicot eBeast (which goes by many names now), my daughter was on a Surron light bee, and the rest were in a Honda Talon. With each twist and turn, discover the beauty of nature and the thrill of off-road riding.

Jesus this thing looks painfully slow how uninspiring are all these videos?
this video is almost 3 years old. watch one of the newer ones. These bikes will throw you off in first gear with too much throttle
@ well I bought one yesterday morning. It’s a 2024 that doesn’t function but I got it for 2500 bucks so it’s a gamble.
My family is from the Richfield valley and I love the endless trails around there. I watched this and part 2 but couldn’t quite tell where that last ride was along the ridge line. Where was that? Thanks.
Was this for the intermediate or advanced course?
I took the advanced course. I talked to them about how they structure the courses and most of the content is the same but they move quicker in the advanced course. There was an optional group ride at the end that was not for beginners.
Grande
Where did you get the aluminum paddle shifters? They're pretty nice!
Why bring a surron. Not made for stuff like that
hard to tell from this video but this surron is heavily modified. 18/21 wheel setup, battery/controller, sprocket, etc. Otherwise i would agree that a 19/19 stock surron isnt the best for trails
@FeathersOffroad i gotcha man. Getting stuck is never fun. I ran my raptor 660 out of gas about 6 miles into a trail and of course it has to start pouring 🤣. Anyway safe riding!
@@E360WNER11 im about to edit a video where a broke the foot shifter and chain in the same ride, it happens. Safe riding to you as well
@@FeathersOffroad oh noooo, I'll have to give it a watch
Ive had a couple of those days. How far away from the truck?
about 3 miles, not too bad. Last time we were out we didnt have rope and it was a lot slower moving
@ that would suck
Then I think you know what keeps getting into this predicament
The last predicament was me towing him with the electric. ;)
It ain't got no gas in it.
how did someone make a vehicle out of a toe 🤔
It is for something they are called "Rocks", not "Mud" 😂
Super ideal learning space you have there! Its a great "Runway" for wheelies. Awesome content !
Very cool...thanks for posting. Some of those steeps are, well....steep. :) Was wondering how those trails were designated? ORV, MTN bike, etc?
these are managed forest service trails designated for hiking, horseback, mtn bike, and dirt bike. You can see a little triangle shaped sign in the video, these show you who is supposed to yield to who on the trails. thanks for watching!
have been looking for the gauge panel blank all over, its 2024 thank you !

That's in other near stock on ut in Tooele county. It's a old mine
awesome. a few out near eureka as well
How long can you ride without recharging? Cool bike
depends on the type of riding. technical single track, 25 miles. High speed desert, maybe 20.
So does anyone know where one could buy this bike cause i googled it and couldnt find anything
it is sold under a bunch of different names now. Try searching Nicot eBeast, Admitjet armor, ET time electric, mototec venom
im sory i liked 😊😊😊
im sory you arnt famis but i liked
I noticed on alibaba the motor on this bike is only 3000w. But the other nicot e beasts have 12000watts. For basically the same price 5grand. Why does this bike only have 3000watts?
Chinese retailers like to exaggerate specs to get your business. the motor is a 3kw constant/12kw peak on all of these bikes. Motor, controller and battery all play a role as well. if your battery can't sustain the amp draw or your controller cant pass the current, they will limit your power. I've ridden this bike for years now and any more power would probably just wheelie over backwards.
How are the windscreen and new helmet working out to cut down buffeting and make the ride more comfortable?
I have been very happy with this windscreen and the Arai. I think the windscreen made a lot of difference for my height. I've used it off road a lot and it's never been in my way. Can't go wrong with both but that Arai isn't cheap. I bought both of these on my own dime.
I’m 24 I can’t wait to have some kids man. Enjoy your time and have fun
thank you! they are "usually" great 😂😂
How ling have you had the e beast for now? And problems with it? Does it say how many miles you have on it?
I just couldn't deal with that sound.
@@johnjriggsarchery2457 I still have gas and I do miss the braap, but the zero maintenance is appealing for short rides like this day.
Kirkmans hollow saddle huh? Funny enough last time I had a tow a bike it was a serum with a broken drive belt towed it up and over back down kirkham's. Same place where you are located.
we started up left fork dry canyon and came down kirkmans hollow. I haven't edited the long video yet but we also heard a mountain lion growl when we stopped for lunch. My first time up those specific trails and it just wasn't my day haha
also crazy that you can spot that in a ten second video!
@@FeathersOffroad actually I did it by looking at the thumbnail without watching the video. I've been over that saddle so many times both on foot and bike over the years. Where in Utah do you live?
I'm in south salt lake county, you?

I bet you don't drive a car because that would be lazy too

A lot of the uphills were taken in first gear. Mustve been really steep in person. going uphill, much better to be overpowered than underpowered. Great content, learning a lot. thanks
thanks for watching. it was very steep. I really need to replace my tires. trying to hold off until winter
KTM sells a similarly shaped one that I just installed on my Adv R Rally. I am not overly excited about it, but it works. I am much shorter (5’7) than you however.
Rip suron lol definitely not designed to pull all that weight
we got it done, but the surron was doing a wheelie pulling all that weight lol
That made my day😂😂
Desperation is the mother of all invention! Did that once with a 4 wheeler 😅
Gotta do what ya gotta do.
@@EchoOutdoors365 got us back to the truck, so it was a win for sure
I wish I’d watched this prior to my uphill mishap . Excellent content
thanks!
What rpms are you peaking at? I'm really scared to loop the bike but I'm wanting to learn
i havent watched the rpms specifically. id practice two separate moves, one where you jump in place on the footpegs and load the suspension, and the second of revving the throttle and giving a little blip of the clutch. The second move (if done on dirt) should cause the rear wheel to spin. when you do the power blip and the bottom of the jump move, the front wheel will come up. I have another video that shows this a bit better. Wheelie practice part 1
Finding.....bro they're like the easiest to find
In a few years we will realize that the concept of adventure motorcycles was fundamentally wrong. For off-road trips of this type, and in my estimation most of the routes of the adventure riders are similar (length and difficulty of the route), you don't need these beasts. A much lighter and weaker motorcycle is enough. When you have to travel 150-300 km a day on a road, Adventure has an advantage, but how many trips of several days of riding or crossing continents do most people do anyway? Nice technique you have developed, but I would be extra careful with that rear tire...
Your braver than me, going up thise hills with those tires. Shoot they looked like 80 on 20 off road. Id say you got decent skills to make it. I know most people dont think tires matter but ive learned they very much do lol. Its a struggle when you do long road miles and need a good middle ground tire but i give up and run the mitas Enduro tire. Not their full offroad but the next one down. Use to be called the e-09 but think its something else now. Also wouldnt recommend the dakar tire as its very hard compound. They dont last long but they get me through and i make questionable decisions although unintentional lol. Anyway great video i enjoyed
thanks for watching! I am definitely ready for a new set of tires. Ive been happy with these TKC 70 Rocks for everything but mud. I do enough pavement that it makes sense for me to run them vs a big knobby tire. I would like maybe one more step towards a dirt bias, but dropping the pressure on these got me through a lot of mountain trails.
What tyre pressure were you running at, try it at 15 psi front and back ?
i dont remember in this specific video but thats usually what i run when offroad
@@FeathersOffroadhave you fitted any rim locks ?, I can’t locate any 3.50” rim locks for the back, only 2.50” for the front Have you had any tyre movement at 15 psi ?
@@ericjohnson1472 I don't have rim locks on this bike but I've added to another dirt bike I have. Haven't had any issues around 15. I don't think I'd go much lower psi than that though, the tire is pretty squishy. I do carry a tube just in case
It's because it doesn't look real
It's grander if you hike it rim to rim - th-cam.com/video/4FPMrb8IFDw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=EOOFY3YwmnaIc0JC
The view gets better the closer you get to the edge. You should climb over that fence

Fuck yeahmy guy i need a new fender to 3d print
Someone left the hose running?
amazing video thanks so much for sharing - I have the same bike and I have watched Chris's wheelie videos but didn't have the confidence to try it alone but after seeing your video first person learnt heaps and could fully visualise your ride - I am fully revved up now to give it a good go and start practicing it. Were you in off-road mode with no abs and mic off for the wheelies?
@@sckennedy54 thanks for watching! I usually practice in rally mode, street throttle response, abs Offroad and traction control set to 1 (off). Be sure and cover the rear brake, but practicing the clutch move separate than the jump move really helps. these days I can keep the front wheel off the ground for 20 feet or so. I can jump good size logs. I don't think I will ever be as good as Chris but I got so much better after his clinic
