I tried a 500% Randy Naked Brutality run just to see how hard it really was…
First try- lost to the first raider and got kidnapped.
Second try- double raid, fought one off and the other gave up but died to too many stab wounds.
Third try- sad wander plus mad ibex equals trivial blood loss that took a whole day to kill him…
It’s not nearly as easy as you make it look!
In the beginning use spike traps. They cost only expendable wood or steel.
In early game raiders don’t break walls if they have clear path to their target.

this is not naked brutality... its tribal with 5 pawns... plus neanderthals only the first days... then he always rush mechanitors.... take that as you want

When vanilla vehicles expanded releases you can do a 100 days video based on that mod
I tried this myself and failed miserably as my colonists would spend the majority of their time in bed due to them constantly getting into social fights the second they were capable of walking again. One colonist I had was so beat up the majority of his sprite was just bandages.
On the other side of this, I had a Neanderthal raider who on top of the robust gene also had the tough trait. Man was literally the terminator until a well-aimed rifle shot finally domed him and ended his rampage. Had he been wearing actual armor and had a painstopper installed he'd of been a god amongst mortals.
Man was probably tankier then a large combat mech.
My previous colony had two tough yttakin. Man, they were beasts.

I did similqr videos to those some Time ago, it always turned out to be 1 hour raw footage = 1 - 1.5 minutes of footage,
So this would be about 20 hours.

If someone wants the true difficulty, try to get from tribal to space roleplaying with the characters, like if they where actually evolving (or getting new tech every 6 game years)

Since you often make these cool shorts showing tricks in Rimworld i wanted to share one with you.
Requirement:
- More planning Mod
- Designator Shapes Mod
What it is supposed to do:
Help find Ores, Ancient Dangers and more
What to do:
Select any Planning colour
Select the "Fill out" tool from Designator Shapes
Start Planning on Mountains (Granite, Marble, Slate, etc.)
You now should notice that the Planning should have holes. These can be either new unrevealed Areas, Ancient Dangers or simply Ores.
It helps a ton and if you then Mark the ores and the Walls of the Ancient Dangers you can take away the Planning on the stone to save FPS and make the Valuables more visible.
I thank you for you very cool videos, and I would not mind if you share this tip as well with others as it makes stuff a lot easier.

@@clnetrooper That is very very true. If I pick a slow learner, he has to already have high stats in whatever skill I need from them. And then a learning enhancer helps, as well 🙂

I do enjoy your videos, but I can't help but notice that always playing on 500% threat results in most of your colonies being...very simmilar. You should consider a slgihtly lower difficulty and really commiting to a roleplay for once.
Lower difficulties are boring
@@beillardguilhem1388 I mean no, the game is only as difficult as you allow it to be. Commit to a roleplay instead of minmaxing and suddenly lower difficulties feel harder than 500% threat.
@@aidanfurst8512 Pretty sure there is roleplay players and minmaxer players. Also pretty sure you're a roleplayer one, wich is absolutely fine. But don't talk to me like you ever really tried even losing is fun full game. Roleplaying is a thing, surviving is another.

There is a safe zone a few tiles around a colonist with a gun where they can’t friendly fire allies in that zone.

You should use more combat mechs instead of production ones.
Production mechs are far inferior to any pawn with 7 skill or more and generate constant pollution.
Combat mechs on the other hand spend most of their time recharging, can be easily repaired or resurrected.
Most importantly take hits your pawns would have taken so your pawns have more time doing their jobs without inguries.

There is an unofficial one on steam workshop. But the official one has not been updated I think. The unofficial one works exactly the same though.
There's a different mod called character editor that does the same thing pretty much and is updated

you need to remove some bass from your voice. I just muddies the audio track. Not everyone can have a huge booming voice. Your voice is very nice, natural, or maybe with just a little bit of a low end boost.

Interestingly enough Neanderthals are thought to have been considerably MORE intelligent then modern humans. They had much larger and denser brains and developed arrowheads with finer points then other humans at that time as well as intricate cave art.
It is a bit of a bias/myth that they were dumbdumb unga bunga, at least when you consider the time periods lack of tech.
