Thank you! Your explanation was so clear and the speed was perfect. I have been trying to learn TKS from written instructions, but your demo was so much clearer.
I just love the way you teach, clear and so patiently. I just love it and love the pattern. Thank you thank you for bringing your talent I am a beginner and I am so happy to find you. I know I will be able to knit , finally.
I really like that she used the word tunnel to tell us where to insert the hook. This stitch is a big part of the answer to my prayer of what stitches to use for the baby blanket i want to make. Now, i just need to figure out colors
THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH. I BEEN TRYING TO LEARN THE TUNISIAN STITCH AND EVERY VIDEO I SAW WAS CRAZY UNTIL I WATCHED. Crochet JEWEL& then I saw yours for the knit look OMG THANK GOD 4 U.
You've made this look so easy, even though I don't know how to crochet yet...the chain looks easy to do. I really want to learn how to crochet, and do the Tunisian stitch. Thank you for your wonderful video!
I watched so many different videos and just didn’t get how do this pattern until I watched this. When you said the tunnel and showed how the stitch looked from the back, it all clicked! I was getting so frustrated not knowing how to do this stitch and was about to give up! Thank you so much for posting this video!
I love your tutorial. You gave step by step instructions which makes it easy for me. I'll do a practice swat to see if I have it right. Thanks for sharing .
Absolutely, positively EXCELLENT instructions!! Your presentation was right on point in every way. In addition to a very calm. Anyone and everyone should be able to learn from your video. Thanks for sharing and keep up the splendid work.
I've been fighting with this stitch for a couple of days. Prior to learning from your video my Tunisian knit stich was looking like a caterpillar. Thank you for your video and clear instructions.
Beautiful and slowly taught is what I love cause once taught well, i will execute the Stitch with Success. I do Knit and Crochet but doing it Tunisian Style kinda want to me make you put your needles down. Thank you so very much ❤
Very good video. Not too long or overly chatty. Thank you. One thing I noticed in doing Tunisian Crochet is that one needs to make sure the yarn does not become too tight while working it. If it does, the project curls. And, while some say that it can blocked, I have not found that to be effective in removing the curl. I notice you hold the last loop with your finger as you pass the hook into the next post. I'm trying that now.
In knitting this is called the stockinette stitch. It's created by alternating knit and purl rows. It has the same issue. In knitting, you would add a border to the ends to keep the stockinette in line. A border here might help with the curling.
Thank you for the tutorial! I was just wondering if you ever had the problem where whatever you are making keeps curling into a ball and how to fix that.
When I do my tunisian crochet I start with a fow of single crochet first. It does not entirely stop the rolling, but it does help a lityle bit. I think it is a personal choice. I haven't found any other way to keep it from rolling up.
You can get a longer Tunisian hook at most craft stores and can even get one with a wire or plastic cord that one uses in knitting for wide projects. You'd just do exactly like she has stated with the smaller number of stitches, just add in more for a larger project.
@@kimberlymatthews7137 thank you Kimberly :) I shall hunt for one. I watched her previous video as she suggested and realised. Thank you for taking the time to reply. Much appreciated :). I had a go yesterday on my small hook it's fun :).
The tenision stich can be done with regular length or if you're doing say an Afghan there is Long hooks or corded hooks available I think most even say tenision
+Nimisha Arora hi! it would be the same, but you will need a larger hook to fit all those stitches. Those larger hooks are called tunisian hooks or tunisian needles ;)
this is great !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! now i can knit with a single needle from now on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
just learning the Tunisian stitch. nice video to follow. question....on your video you go through the back. as im watching videos some go through the front up & down. why is this. or does it just depend on personal preference. great work.

wonderfully explained but how.will it work for large number of stitches, like 100 or 150 stitches
+Nimisha Arora hi! it would be the same, but you will need a larger hook to fit all those stitches. Those larger hooks are called tunisian hooks or tunisian needles ;)
very good job exsplaining this. thanks so much for sharing.
SUPER EASY I LOVE IT
How do I use this stitch to make a project made "in the round" (ie socks)? Would I be able to use only a singular hook?

Hello, do you have a tutorial on how to tie it up at the end to secure it?
What if i need a long knitting more then my hook length?what to do then...like if i do a swal...
Roksana Akther i was thinking the same thing
Glue two together 😂
Is there a way to keep work from curling. I'm just learning and my work curls as I go majorly.
Paul Strength try using a larger crochet hook. Maybe go one or two sizes up.
What is the needle size??
Can I make this for washcloth or dishcloth ??
Sure! :)
Awesome...THANKS🌹🌹🌹
Great tutorial! Thank you!
thanks!
how do you make a blanket out of it if you can?
Hi! you must have a really large tunisian hook to crochet a blanket. You could do little squares and then join them to make a blanket ;)
Gracias.
