    Primera vez que comento. Impresionante trabajo. Creo que vi todos tus videos, mucha admiracion por tu trabajo, y envidia sana por las camionetas qué armas y por tener repuestos de todo y herramientas ahí en estados unidos. Yo soy de Argentina, y hace 5 años estos armando mi c10 1964, y todabia me falta. La economía de mi país no ayuda y hay muy pocos respuestos, y los que hay no son de la mejor calidad. Seguiremos adelante. Saludos y felicitaciones por las camionetas y tus trabajos.

    Those are really tough areas to work in !! "Difficult" access from either side besides the shapes that don't readily align with the other panels. Lookin good !!!

  • @JimmyMakingitwork
    @JimmyMakingitwork ปีที่แล้ว +2

    2) Those curved panels were tricky, forced me to buy a set of shrinker stretchers, worked well. No salvage here with the older trucks, had to make every piece on mine! Learned a lot though. :)

    Welcome back Brother! I'm glad to see you're back at it. I've been restoring our '65 C10. I've learned A LOT from you and have been applying some of that knowledge to my truck. I just DON'T have the nerve to do the floor patches, or inner and outer rocker guards. I wish we were closer so I could pay you to supervise me.. Keep on keepin on...

    My husband has watched you over the years and you inspired him to do a 1965 C10 and he has just about completed. He also watched Fitzee's Fabrication which does a lot of metal work and he uses a WALTER FLEXCUT spin on flex grinding wheel 15-l 456 and it worked great and does not remove metal from panel just the weld. Keep up the great work and videos

    You're my go-to guy for patching videos. Thanks for showing the tools you use. I have pretty good luck with the die grinder and cutting disk but hit surrounding metal with the flap disk. I had some cheap cutting disk on my die grinder one flew apart - scared the crap out of me. I've got to keep the RPMs down. Thanks for another good video.

    What are your settings on your welder? Volts, WFS, Inductance? also, on metal that is pitted but still strong, how do you address that? Thanks brother

    • @Gibson63.
      @Gibson63.  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      I use the Lincoln pro mig 135 B for heat and 4-5 on wire feed and also depends on the gauge thickness I will adjust the heat. For the pitted metal it’s just thinner metal in those areas I just work around it a little slower

    • @Chad_N_Stacey_Hopson
      @Chad_N_Stacey_Hopson ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@Gibson63. Do you seal the thinner metal with anything in particular or just fill over it?

    • @Gibson63.
      @Gibson63.  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@Chad_N_Stacey_Hopson I’ll use a rust encapsulator on all metal under the roof skin
