The Joker film will differ from others, in style, the screentime, and the main character is actually Joker. I think, one need to argue, that the different films are comparable. I think Leto had an appropriate performance in Suicide Squad, the concept of the movie was a mistake. One should not compare the characters of very cartoonish shallow movie with others. I eager to see the drama the next Joker will be.
Aron Dracula, he actually did. He played a villain on a Flash TV-series who was acting exactly like the Joker... And it was pretty corny and dumb at times.
They put Troy Baker on the list and he's only voice the Joker as well and hasn't played him in the live action movie. Along with the other actors as well. Just because Mark Hamill just does voice acting doesn't mean he doesn't embody the Joker in every way from the animated series, to the DCU in video games and their animated series/films.
I will disagree with you about Jared Leto as Joker. I think he was one of the worst jokers. Also I think the original Harley is still the best. Arleen Sorkin created the iconic voice for Harley. Harley was never in the comics and was created for the 90s Batman cartoon. If it wasn't for how amazing she and the writers did with that character I don't know that we would have her today.
Adam Brinkmann I agree that the original Harley is the best, but Margot Robbie actually did pretty good in that role. And Mark Hamill is definitely the best Joker
mate non of the jokers carried the psycho in joker as much as ledger did , and thats the most important and most memorale part of joker , not his jokes , not his laugh.
Regardless, he was saying the truth. I'm a big fan of Gotham, but Jerome wasn't necessarily the Joker, even if it's pretty clear he'll come back and eventually turn into the Joker, he was never actually connected as the Joker except for the mannerisms unlike everyone else on the show.
I love Troy Baker. Mark Hamilton has actually said that he wouldn’t mind passing the torch to Troy when the time comes, and that he personally loves his voice for joker and that’s mad respect tbh
Because Mark Hamill is just a voice a hell of a voice but hands down Heath ledger in Darkknight was like nothing you've seen before especially because nobody wanted him for that role
+Neutral Panda Films the issue I have I that Heath Ledger's joker is that he is not funny. Name a time he crack a joke or bad pun. The character is the Joker not Insane person
+Green And Yellow Devil Heath is overrated. when you only have one aspect of the Joker you fail, but because he for some reason didn't heed Jack advice on the role he OD. Dying doesn't make you great, knowing your character does.
Except, yanno, for the guy they hired to emulate Mark's Joker. No one else on the list was even attempting to duplicate one another. Though I agree he did a great job of it, that alone should've bumped Mark to #1. I very much enjoyed Heath's Joker but he gets an edge simply because it literally killed him. If Heath had been able to do the third and final movie, my opinion might be different.
His voice acting is great but having to physically act out the joker and his voice is harder which is why they probably put the actors higher on the list
He played the Trickster in the Flash's shows. - That is the closest he will be to play a live action Joker. - But even if he had never played the character in live action, he's still the best representation of the character.
Because despite Mark Hamill being brilliant at his role and being at it for a very long time, both Nichalson and Ledger's performances are much more impactful and much more meaningful. This might be because they only had one or two shots (movies that is) to get it done in so they had to make it mean something. Hamill's Joker is freaking amazing in every media he is in and I do adore him as the Joker. But I do agree that both Nichalson and Ledger had better and more meaningful performances as the Joker. It also doesn't help Hamill's case he has done several versions of the Joker over the years while Nichalson and Ledger only had to do one each.
Cameron Monaghan was such great in Gotham as Jerome but also as Jeremiah. Those are two really differnt characters and he acted them out very good, really incredible. Would be number 2 on my list! ☺
Yeah. But personally I think he was better as Jerome. He was closer to the core of the Joker's character: he was aware that he was evil and insane and he loved every minute of it. He even brandished a smile of satisfaction when his father foretold that his legacy will be death and madness. While Jeremiah has the looks, and the more personal connection with Bruce Wayne, he deluded himself that he was the good and sane guy, and claimed that he is nothing like his brother, yet in season 5 he began to take up his brother's mannerisms, which make him both a hypocrite and a bit of a copycat.
Yeah glad he was mentioned in this video! Fun fact: he's black Mark Hamill when it comes to his voice acting so that's how he got the courage to rival him as Joker!
"You mean to tell me that chief of police considers this vigilante a greater menace than *THE CLOWN PRINCE OF CRIME?* Why that's an outrage! An insult!"
Heath ledger joker is so inaccurate. Just as inaccurate as danys penguin. Ledger is missing too much of what makes joker the joker. Mark hamill is the most accurate joker and jack comes more closer to being like hamil then ledger very inaccurate version of joker. Hes not funny has none of jokers famous gadgets. Isnt dressed correctly. Doesnt mention or show jokers true origins. We all no batman made the joker. Even jared leto is more accurate becuase at least they mention the ace chemicals that created him. Nolan batman films were very dissapointing becuase of how inaccurate they are to the animated series which is the true interpretation of batman
In respects, yes, you don't have to use drama techniques like body language and facial expression. However, Mark Hamill didn't directly interact with other actors onscreen as he was in a sound studio, making it harder to create chemistry with the other characters, relying entirely on animators.
All of these Joker's are excellent for their time and place, EXCEPT for Jaret Leto, who I've only a passing familiarity with. Also, I've yet to see the prequel, in it's entirety, the one in The Joker Prequel, the one where he's a failed comedian. What I've seen, though, makes him a cunning contender!
I do not think that Mark Hamil should have been #1. While his voice is iconic his performances are not live action. Live action allows for more portrayal. the looks, the voice and the movements. You really have to embody the Joker in live action because we see the person not just hear the voice. In animation the actor is only providing part of the experience.
So what if it's live action or not. It's the impact the actor leaves and Mark Hammil left a much bigger impact on me than Ledger did. Yea it was tragic that he died but I honestly felt that TDK kinda dragged. To me, my top two Batman movies are the 1989 classic and 1993's Batman Mask of the Phantasm.
voice acting is a LOT harder than live action. You need to actually sound like the character when your voice acting and if live action you can just get away with acting insane while having a really boring voice. Ledger Joker was soooo boring.
1) Ledger 2) Hamill 3) Nicholson 4) Romero 5) Richardson 6) Baker 7) Monaghan 8) Di Maggio 9) Emerson 10) Brent Spiner In my opinion, Jeff Bennett shouldn't have made the list and Monaghan should have. Brave and the Bold is just....awful. Monaghan brings us a younger side of the Joker we haven't seen before. Hamill is good and quite amazing but Ledger puts the Voice and physical actions of the character into practice.
I agree. Bennett's Joker is so hard to watch, since the last few episodes of Gotham Cameron's Joker(s) jumped high on my personal list. Mojo should update this video
@@aaronsmith2688 He too, but Jerome deserves it more. He is basically the embodiment of how the Animated Series or Arkham Games Joker would look like in live-action. Also unlike Jeremiah, who believes that he is good and sane, Jerome is fully aware that he is evil and crazy, just like how the Joker should be.
Here's my List. I respectfully disagree with the one above 10. Cesar Romero 9. Jeff Bennett 8. Jared Leto 7. Michael Emerson 6. Troy Baker 5. John DiMaggio 4. Jack Nicholson 3. Cameron Monaghan 2. Heath Ledger 1. Mark Hamill
Interesting idea, but, they'd have to pay him an astronomical sum, AND, it might lack some of the inflections and intonations, that make HIS version of The Joker so engrossing!
Cesar Romero should be lower down. While he was the first to play Joker he wasn't committed enough to even shave his mustache for the role. Compared to Heath Ledger locking himself in a hotel for more than a bloody month it seems quite a small price to pay...
ImplicitStorm wow you disrespectful idiot. Will you be happy if someone said fuck your dead grandma or grandpa? I am not saying ledgger is my grandpa but have some fucking respect triggered fuckboy. Mark hamill only did voice acting. If he was on a live action film he would shit his pants.
I think its easy to say Heath Ledger is overrated. I used to say it myself, but he really did put on the performance of his career. Like they said, they took what made the Joker great and built upon it, making a Joker that "could" exist in our world.
He was a great actor and worthy of the Oscar but lacked the fundamental qualities and traits of the joker so he is just a good joker nothing compared to how mark can portray the character Heath role was worth the Oscar by performance but in my opinion not for portraying the joket
Heath Ledger's performance was fantastic, and he brought his character to a truly terrifying life. However, his character wasn't a pure incarnation of the Joker from the comics. Mark Hamill nails it much better in my opinion. Ledger did the better acting, Hamill captured the Joker more successfully.
1. Mark Hamil 2. Jack Nicholson 3. Heath Ledger 4. Joaquin Phoenix 5. John Dimaggio 6. Troy Baker 7. Cesar Romero 8. Cameron Mongahon 9.Kevin Michael Richardson 10. Michael Emerson Honorable Mentions: Jeff Bennett Zach Galifanakis Richard Epcar Brent Spiner Jared Leto Chris Corey Smith Michael Mckean Frank Welker
1.Hamill 2.Michael Emerson. (was only one movie but it was very well done. Check out The Dark Knight Returns.) 3. Jack Nicholson (Was true to the character and nobody does"crazy" like Jack Nicholson)
+Aron Dracula Then you havn't seen his Cameo on an episode of the Flash were he plays the Joker (Not the actual Joker obviously, but a vilain that is basicly a carbon copy of the joker. A little wink to the fans of Hamill's Joker). If you want to see how Mark not only voices, but acts like the Joker, look no further than this episode. And, yes he was absolutly awsome in that episode. Voice acting only or not, he is still the best Joker in my book, but that is just my opinion.
have you seen his portrayal on the flash. its not joker, but it wasnt the toy man. plus, does live performance really matter. He will always be the best. ANd better yet, he does it without dying
My Favorite Joker Portrayals 1.Mark Hamill - Batman The Animated Series 2.Jack Nicholson - Batman 1989 3.Kevin Michael Richardson - The Batman 2004 4.John DiMaggio - Batman Under The Red Hood 5.Brent Spiner - Young Justice
Meh, I lost hope the moment I saw the Young Justice Joker on this list at all, not to mention, over the Mark Hamill one from the "Mask of the Phantasm"
I love Mark Hamill as The Joker, he is the fuckin man! The thing that bugs me though is that when people talk Mark Hamill they tend to want to talk TAS and not really the video games. Like bro, I think his voice acting in Arkham Knight is probably his finest performance of his carrer voicing The Clown Prince of Crime
I could understand why he was put at 3, but I would've liked Hamill put at 2 as opposed to 3. Put Nicholson at 3. But yes Mark was the king of the Joker's voice, and yes it was the LONGEST standing portrayal of the character due to more than just its duration, i agree with Heath ledger as the #1 spot. Let's face it, unless you made a habit individually of looking up backstage footage of mark Hamill behind the microphone, you only saw half of the performance and portrayal when you watched in on the small screen. And I believe this list was constructed as so to encompass the viewpoints for all the types of Joker fans, not just the diehard dedicated guys and gals. Heath went IN with his portrayal, drawing inspiration from ALL the Joker portrayals to create his own, with his own quirks to add to the sauce, even drawing inspiration from voice of Hamill with that insane laugh. But Heath completely embraced the role and became the character inside and out. That's why I'm happy he's number one
I feel like #2 Should have been Heath Ledger and #1 should've been Mark Hamil with Batman the animated series and the Arkham Games he was so good in those and gets all aspects of the Joker. plus everytime I read his lines I always think of his voice
cameron monaghan's joker tho... really like his potrayal. he has this childlike appearance and his voice makes him seem more like an alternate universe origin joker. its really refreshing
+Ariel Mc fangirl Mendez Because you clearly don't watch the best TV show ever, called "Gotham" and Jerome should have at least been in the top 3 with Nicholson and Ledger.
I don't understand why everyone compare Heath to Joaquin. They are both equal because they didn't play the same Joker. While Heath played the original Joker, Joaquin plays the born of the Joker
Don't compare, just look at the gotham series Jerome = Joaquin (origin wise) Jeremiah = Heath (being cunning) There's always 2jokers on a deck of cards
What name should I have? yeah, heath represents the joker who has completely gone insane, while phoenix represents the rise of joker from a broken man to a complete psychopath. in fact, the laugh after he kills murray is similar to ledger’s laugh in the fact that when he does that laugh, while he hasnt reached complete insanity yet, he is definitely on the verge of becoming the joker we know. personally, i think at the end when phoenix faced the mob he should have done the classic insane joker laugh that heath ledger did so well.
I could tell they had heath ledger as number 1 before i watched it because of the like/dislike bar. If heath ledger wasn't number one there would probably be 100,000 dislikes.
I thought the same in regards to Hamill not being #1. Not saying Heath Ledger was bad or anything but Hamill deserves that spot for several good reasons. Largest being off of principal for how many years he put towards the roll. Followed up with the fact that his portrayal was what many (and I MEAN many) of us grew up knowing and both loving as well as hating. Sure, Heath Ledger did a good job that made our skins stand on end but look at it this way. If you put ALL the jokers together into one room. Who do you honestly believe would be either 1) The Joker who survives if they all fought and 2) The joker who would rule them all? Hamill's joker would take the top on both because that version of Jokers more than capable of convincing the other Jokers to work with him and at the same time, more than skilled enough to drop them like he did Harley off that building back in 1999.
My favorite is Jeff Bennett's portrayal, because he puts a lot of nuance into each part of the line, sometimes giving an individual word a separate texture: one word might be rough and growly, the next smooth and loud. Also he gives the line a lot of different textures: smooth and breathy, back to smooth and loud again, a pause, then soft and light. He gives different lines different sequences of textures. His Joker switches moods very rapidly even when being low-key. Conniving and thoughtful, energetic and robust, then mischievously delighted, then languidly subversive, then mildly theatrical, and then finishing with falsely modest. He also nails the high notes, and lets Joker get manic, excited, and malicious-joyfully shrill, and the unpredictability of whether his tone will be even or uneven makes for one loopy, believably insane (rather than just pure evil) Joker. Though he sometimes has Joker get introspective, he lets this Joker mostly be light on the heaviness and seriousness and demonstrates expert comic timing: the punchline isn't necessarily at the end of a line, the pace of the delivery is unexpected, the rythym of the line is offbeat and counter-intuitive, which describes this Joker. Richard Epcar's Joker is fun because Richard Epcar is known for doing very un-Joker like characters, very even and very cool-headed, so the fact he can even play Joker is exciting. Cesar Romero, the only Latin Joker, the first Joker on-screen, and whose performance is genuinely happy but still with plenty of bite. Kevin Michael Richardson has the largest range--low and terrifying to super-high and terrifying, very high energy, very funny with great comic timing, and also sometimes sad and sympathetic! John DiMaggio's Joker is scary and sandpaper-funny. Very much Joker of the modern era.
Your opinion, he was amazing in my opinion. I like the thought of him being a psycho kingpin instead of a sociopathic antagonist. It's new, fresh and original. You're just expecting a different type of Joker
For me Mark Hamill is amazing, and his joker voice is legendary, but Heath Ledger did give us much more than just a voice. His acting in The Dark Night was amazing, something that will probably never be topped. Mark Hamill does have the most legendary voice as the joker, but Ledger gave us an Oscar worthy performance.
Jack Nicholson's Joker will always be how I imagined the Joker in real life to look like. Mark Hamill, the voice and crude sense of humor. And Heath Ledger, the extent of his sadism. Now imagine all three together, and we have the perfect Joker!
I'm not completely mad at this list... Yes, Mark Hamill's Joker is the one most of us think of first and foremost; Hamill is easily the greatest voice of Joker, hands down, bar none. But Nicholson's stint took what Romero had created and perfected it, defining the Joker cinematically. Ledger... geeze, Ledger took the Joker to whole new heights, redefining, mastering, and setting the bar for the Joker, both on screen and in the comics, and I doubt anyone will be able to top him (suck on it, Leto). The reason Hamill wasn't #1 on the list was the difference in format. Yes, he's the most iconic Joker for character, for charisma, but he was only ever the voice (not that that in any way lessens his performance). Nicholson and Ledger brought Joker to all but true life on the Silver Screen, in voice, action, and style, making us believe that Joker's particular brand of Madness was more than just a fancy on a page, but a nightmare that could truly darken our doors, casting a shadow across what we like to believe we are as a society. Hail to the Prince...
nice summary, but i see a lot of people talking about how "iconic" hamill is but tbh Hamill's joker is only really iconic in the fan community, your everyday person isn't going to think of Mark Hamill when they think about the joker, Ledger is clearly the most iconic version of the character. his joker will be on t shirts, merchandise and written about for decades.
Fair point, and I love Ledger's Joker every bit as much as I love Hamill's, but that's why I made the distinction between their roles. Although the greater distinction would be between people like me who grew up with Hamill's Joker, and the newer crowd (i.e. people who are to young to remember Batman: The Animated Series or who just never watched it) who are really only familiar with Ledger's Joker. But I do believe, prior to The Dark Knight, Hamill's Joker - or at least his voice - was the one most people thought of ( followed closely by Nicholson); even if they had only watched the show or played the Arkham games without realizing who the actor was behind the animation. But maybe that's just me...
The animated Joker voices should be its own list tbh. Like you can't compete with Mark's joker in the animation world, but Heath's live action performance is just as good.
only idiots who started watching batman after the dark knight trilogy say ledger was The Joker. ask any comic book reader and the image that comes to mind when reading the joker is that of Batman TAS's Hamill. Same for Conroy. Ledger did a great job, he created an amazing sociopathic villain, however, it was not the joker.
You sir, just won the internet. It's amazing the sheer number of ignorant adolescent cretins who would have batman purists believe that ledgers indie, alternative take on the joker is somehow superior to hamill's comic faithful, character defining, often imitated never bettered turn as the clown prince of crime.
I've been reading Batman comics since the 60s and agree that Heath Ledger should be at the #1 spot. He is the most deserving of it as he was the best Joker to date.
I disagree. Hamil only provided a voice. Heath provided the whole package. Yes Mark's work was exceptional, but it's the work Heath did that takes the cake.
I wonder what planet you are from. Or are you one of those neckbeard mouth breathers who idolized Mark Joker and even with a better one present refuse to accept it.
+Fred Casden's Basement Opinions are a wonderful thing. Add a bunch of delusion. Sprinkle in some bullshit. Then boom. You have a steaming pile of your bullshit opinion.
Oh My God! Think whatever the hell you like! Fucking Jeff Bennett can be your favourite Joker. It's your opinion, no one can change it and you can't change others so by God stop being so horrible to each other just because you don't agree!!!!!
For me, my favorite versions of the Joker are: 1. Heath Ledger 2. Jack Nicholson 3. Mark Hamill 4. Cesar Romero 5. Cameron Monaghan (people say he's not The Joker but everyone else knows he's The Joker) 6. John Dimaggio 7. Troy Baker 8. Kevin Michael Richardson 9. Jeff Bennett 10. Michael Emerson
I love Mark Hamill’s versions of the joker (especially in the Arkham series) but I also really like Heath Ledger’s performance as the joker as well. So it’s kinda hard for me to chose my number 1 favorite joker.
Worst to best 5. Ceaser Romero 4. Jack Nicholson 3. Jared Leto 2. Heath ledger 1. Mark hamill ... The animated series joker and batman is who I imagine them looking and acting like that
+DmanDanni1998 we gotta a sneek peek on Jared Leto's phsychotic joker. the joker is phsychotic like in the comics not an anarchist sure heath Ledger was Incredible but he wasn't true to the comics
Jack Nicholson was very limited with what was made about the Joker creation. Jack Nicholson Is the reason behind all the dedication we see today about Joker performance. He deserves the spot. And is laught is unique
10. Jeff Bennet 9. Caesar Romarro 8. Michael Emerson 7. Richard Epcar 6. John Dimmagio 5. Troy Baker 4. Jack Nicholson 3. Cameron Monoghan 2.Mark Hamil 1.Heath Ledger
+Super Saiyan it's one thing to like him (even though his interpretation was crap) but you don't have to be so butt hurt whenever someone else states their own opinion
In my pinion Mark could very well play a awesome live action Joker. He has experience with the voice....Ledger was great too but he should have been #2 as he has only done the voice once. And all of these people including him got inspiration from Mark Hamill.
Noah S Cope Ummm in your opinion he did a terrible job. In my opinion he did an excellent job in every Joker job he has done or will done. Give the man so credit.
Black Ice I agree that he was a great joker, but he has even said himself that he is to old and it is putting too much strain on his voice. he also doesn't really have the facial structure or body structure of his joker. it would just look weird
Perry the platypus Monaghan is the most overrated shittiest actor ive ever seen. Thats just acting in general not just Joker performance. Hamil is WAAAYY better.
@@grantwalter2243 really now, overrated, the guy is so talented and his joker is also a perfect mix of every live action joker,I'd recommend you actually watch Gotham before commenting
Grant Walter You’re really not confusing him with Leto, are you? Really have to disagree. Monaghan showed he could play both Joker in the height of insanity and Joker as a more calculating force.
Romero: The Clown
Nicholson: The Mobster
Ledger: The Anarchist
Leto: The Sadist
Richardson: The Lunatic
DiMaggio: The Psychopath
Baker: The Successor
Hamill: The Joker
Agree, 100%
Hamill: The true Joker
So true
Awesome.
Awesome.
Mark Hamil is the greatest animated Joker while Heath Ledger is the Greatest live-action Joker
Total Creative Gaming, I couldn't agree more.
Cameron is the second best live action joker
I agree with you completely
Absolutely
Definitely
Ingredients to make a perfect Joker:
(1) Romero’s Tricks & Toys
(2) Nicholson’s Makeup & Humor
(3) Ledger’s Acting & Outfit
(4)Hamill’s Voice & Laugh
(5)Monaghan’s Terrifying &
Maniacal
(6)Phoenix’s backstory (disregarded by society)

And Jerome's insanity
Monaghan embodies 1-4
Cesar Romero+Jack Nicholson+Heath Ledger+Mark Hamill+Cameron Monaghan=
*Joaquin Phoenix*
Yes!
Nah, Joaquin joker looks
Joaquin Phoenix has joined the lobby
Facts🤣
You think he has a chance to top Ledger? I will admit yes he does but we shall see.
@@andrewroyle2847 very unlikely. Heath Ledger will always own that role.
Andrew Royle he won’t beat ledger but he’ll most likely tie with the best

Heath Ledger as the live action Joker and great acting performance (RIP)
Mark Hamill as the voice version Joker, maniacal, crazy but memorable
#1 will ALWAYS BE Mark Hamill. The legend.
He will always be my favorite Batman character because of him
Heath would of been 2
Is harder to portrayed a character on screen than just doing voice acting. Just saying.
Fuck yeah, he is so fucking awesome
I agree
Cameron Monaghan Should have been on the list and Troy Baker should have been way higher
on witch jerome or jerimiah
@Ligma Balls he is good what are you saying dang you must of took over 1000 shots
@Ligma Balls he’s good
I totally agree with the Troy Baker part, I haven't seen Monaghans portrayal so I can't comment on that.
FOR ME #1 is Hamill and Ledger
Don’t forget Jack Nicholson.

Don’t forget Troy Baker, Cameron Monaghan, & Kevin Michael Richardson!

The fact that Mark didn't get Number 1 is a fucking joke!!
Cause he's old that y he never did a live action joker
Aron Dracula, he actually did. He played a villain on a Flash TV-series who was acting exactly like the Joker... And it was pretty corny and dumb at times.
***** Ledger's and Grant Morrison's.
👍
They put Troy Baker on the list and he's only voice the Joker as well and hasn't played him in the live action movie. Along with the other actors as well. Just because Mark Hamill just does voice acting doesn't mean he doesn't embody the Joker in every way from the animated series, to the DCU in video games and their animated series/films.
Mark Hamill should've been number 2 or 1
This is unrelated but he's got Arkham in his name
OMG
I will disagree with you about Jared Leto as Joker. I think he was one of the worst jokers. Also I think the original Harley is still the best. Arleen Sorkin created the iconic voice for Harley. Harley was never in the comics and was created for the 90s Batman cartoon. If it wasn't for how amazing she and the writers did with that character I don't know that we would have her today.
+Bonfire Vagabond Yes I have seen Suicide Squad and the Joker is okay in that movie
Cameron Monaghan is WAAAAY underrated. In my mind, he’s the perfect cross between Ledger and Hamil
Agreed
Agreed, but I may be a bit biased because shameless is my favorite show
Micaiah Clark so Anthony as Telltale’s Joker
I loved him so much in gotham
He should have been in the new jokermovie☺️👍
Especially as Jeremiah. He was just as insane as Jerome, but much more cunning and clever
jerome from gotham deserved more than an honourable mention!
The reason he got an honorable mention is because he WASN'T the joker. He was the joker's inspiration. He shouldn't be on this list at all.
Heath ledger didn't just act the joker, he embraced him
Indeed he lived as the Joker..
so did jared
YES!
+kelso His acting was great but he was barely in the movie. And he looked more like a pimp drug lord, than the Clown Prince of Crime.
kelso No he was acting like A joker, he didn't become THE Joker..Leto was horrible:-/
I love Troy Baker. Mark Hamilton has actually said that he wouldn’t mind passing the torch to Troy when the time comes, and that he personally loves his voice for joker and that’s mad respect tbh
Mark Hamill is the best Joker voice of all time! Such an amazing actor and such a magnificent performance as the Joker!

If Heath had been able to do the third and final movie, my opinion might be different.
+Green And Yellow Devil noooooooo you don't know how wrong you are
His voice acting is great but having to physically act out the joker and his voice is harder which is why they probably put the actors higher on the list
Find a clip of Hamill doing the voice. Then tell me he isn't doing just as much, or more, than any of the actors.
Jared Leto : I'm just gonna hurt you really, really baaaaddd
DC : Oh, I know

@@TheNerdMan2 29 and grew up on that shit dude
Only normies who’ve never read a Batman comic and never seen the animated series think ledger is the best joker.
@@jarlbalgruuf7701 Mark Hamil is definitely the best in my opinion.
Mark Hamil is and always will be the Joker.
+Aron Dracula still doesn't matter if he hasn't done a live action movie.
He played the Trickster in the Flash's shows. - That is the closest he will be to play a live action Joker.
- But even if he had never played the character in live action, he's still the best representation of the character.
+Aron Dracula Who cares,at least Mark Joker is better than Ledger joker live action or not
I agree.
+Aron Dracula So? The animated version of Batman is the best portayal imo.
WHY THE HELL DID THEY PUT MARK AT NUMBER THREE!!!
IM FUCKING MAD
^I thought that. Then I saw the Trickster. Mark has come full circle.
I was like," Hell no."
Because they are not too bright.
Heath Ledger at number 1..can't argue with that. But Mark Hamill should be at number 2.
Agreed!
No, Mark should have been #1
Hamill and jack Nicholson switch spots

Kevin Michael Richards has a very versatile voice....he did an incredible job :) very underrated
If he was underrated, they wouldn’t have thought to give him a spot in this video.
An insult!"
"You have made me one very *SAD CLOWN!* Huh? Where'd you go?"
- Detective Bennett... You're Clayface?
- You turned me into Clay!
- Funny, I was trying to turn you into dust.
Pretty ridiculous Hammil isn't #1. There is a reason he has done it for over two decades.
There's also a reason why Heath Ledger wasn't in Dark Knight Returns. It's because he died.
So because he has done it longer doesn't mean hes better i think ledger would still be playing the joker if it wasn't for obvious reasons.

+Peeled Banana I agree. He is famous not because he died but becoz he lived the Joker. He's the best for me....
Oliver Queen I mean tbh Joker has 3 origins as there are 3 jokers in the comics. Even Joker has said he prefers mulitiple choice for his origin.
Oliver Queen the dark knight wasn't comic bookie it was more if batman was real the other jokers are in fantasy universe heath is more real life

In respects, yes, you don't have to use drama techniques like body language and facial expression. However, Mark Hamill didn't directly interact with other actors onscreen as he was in a sound studio, making it harder to create chemistry with the other characters, relying entirely on animators.
I cannot read the joker in a comic without hearing it in mark Hamil's voice!!!
"Let the good times roll!"; When you hear Joker say this, it's bad news, at best!
Seconded by, "I'm going to do you a favor!", STILL not good!
Next time Batman "kills" The Joker, it MIGHT help him avoid murder accusations if he removes all the Batarangs, stuck in the Joker's body!
I LOVE the Joker with dreadlocks! 'Nuff said!
This list is a joke if Mark Hamil is not number 1.
Heath is number 1 and always will be
'-'
I agree.
+Navon Myhand Word
+Navon Myhand But his portrayal was unique and he also won an Oscar for it. Definitely No. 1!
He wasn't number one...
Go find some behind-the-scenes footage of Mark at work. He DOES indeed physically portray The Joker
+Aaron Gillie (Bad Scooter) yeah but not as well as ledger, or even Nicoleson.
voice acting is a LOT harder than live action. You need to actually sound like the character when your voice acting and if live action you can just get away with acting insane while having a really boring voice. Ledger Joker was soooo boring.
1) Ledger
2) Hamill
3) Nicholson
4) Romero
5) Richardson
6) Baker
7) Monaghan

10) Brent Spiner
In my opinion, Jeff Bennett shouldn't have made the list and Monaghan should have. Brave and the Bold is just....awful. Monaghan brings us a younger side of the Joker we haven't seen before. Hamill is good and quite amazing but Ledger puts the Voice and physical actions of the character into practice.
Chuck Valliant Brave and the bold is a good show
I agree. Bennett's Joker is so hard to watch, since the last few episodes of Gotham Cameron's Joker(s) jumped high on my personal list. Mojo should update this video
Jerome deserves to be on the list, he’s one of the best imo
How about Jeremiah?
No
@@aaronsmith2688
He too, but Jerome deserves it more. He is basically the embodiment of how the Animated Series or Arkham Games Joker would look like in live-action. Also unlike Jeremiah, who believes that he is good and sane, Jerome is fully aware that he is evil and crazy, just like how the Joker should be.
i think the same

We should just have Mark Hamill record saying every word in the English language so we can have his voice forever
His mustache? Really? What an insightful douche

I think its easy to say Heath Ledger is overrated. I used to say it myself, but he really did put on the performance of his career. Like they said, they took what made the Joker great and built upon it, making a Joker that "could" exist in our world.
Its Heath Legendary.

+Super Saiyan me?

Immanuel Kunt that and nobody likes WatchMojo
Blah BlahBlah this comment wasn't edited
I really wish there was a live-action Mark Hamil Joker. That would be my absolute favorite.
*Hamill
Camden Donham there is a scene in birds of prey series when joker paralyze barbara

+VenomGangster no he didn't

+VenomGangster that's how I felt about ledgers joker. he was shit
HOW IS CAM NOT ON THIS LIST AND JUST A HONORABLE MENTION!!!!
MJangel 11 probably because he hasn’t been announced as the joker yet
I know bad TH-camr
They can deny it all they want Cameron is playing Gothams joker.
#7 the first black actor to voice the Joker
But seriously though, Mark Hamill forever...
nice summary, but i see a lot of people talking about how "iconic" hamill is but tbh Hamill's joker is only really iconic in the fan community, your everyday person isn't going to think of Mark Hamill when they think about the joker, Ledger is clearly the most iconic version of the character. his joker will be on t shirts, merchandise and written about for decades.
There is also the fact Mark Hamil has been the joker for over a decade.
Cesar Romero is seriously underrated he needs more love
Mark Hamill is hands down the best joker, but Gotham's Jerome/Joker (Cameron Monagham) is also very impressive.

Agree
only idiots who started watching batman after the dark knight trilogy say ledger was The Joker. ask any comic book reader and the image that comes to mind when reading the joker is that of Batman TAS's Hamill.
Guys please shut up .. You just bashed on other people's opinion.. No one said mark isn't a good joker

I've been reading Batman comics since the 60s and agree that Heath Ledger should be at the #1 spot. He is the most deserving of it as he was the best Joker to date.
👏👏👏
Mark Hamill is number 1. Period. Heath can't hold a candle to Hamill's joker.
Exactly. We are debating. Fairly furiously I might add.
For me, my favorite versions of the Joker are:
1. Heath Ledger
2. Jack Nicholson
3. Mark Hamill
4. Cesar Romero
5. Cameron Monaghan (people say he's not The Joker but everyone else knows he's The Joker)
6. John Dimaggio
7. Troy Baker
8. Kevin Michael Richardson
9. Jeff Bennett
10. Michael Emerson
romero is nowhere near the top
jared leto shouldn't be on the list
BSW WHY!!!!!
1. He's not.
2. He should. He was better than Ceaser Romero
He's just better than you, that's why he's on the list.
Tech Trex he’s an honorable mention
He should far away from the top 3.
I don't care where everyone else falls... but don't be disrespectful by putting mark hamill's portrayal anywhere other than number 1.
Kampus NineDeuce don't disrespect Ledger like that
I mean
2nd and 1st should always be Mark and Heath's spots
Gothams Cameron monoghan is the most underated and my favourite
100000% Hamill is number one, Heath is and always will be the best live action joker, but just the voice of Mark is sooo iconic
I love Mark Hamill’s versions of the joker (especially in the Arkham series) but I also really like Heath Ledger’s performance as the joker as well. So it’s kinda hard for me to chose my number 1 favorite joker.
10: old joker
9: drew Russell
8: Jared little
7: LEGO joker
6: scooby doo joker
5: Dracula joker
4: train joker
3: luke skywalker joker
2: jack nickelson joker
1: heath ledger joker
Scooby Doo fucko, that's what he said
Worst to best
5. Ceaser Romero
4. Jack Nicholson
3. Jared Leto
2. Heath ledger
1. Mark hamill ... The animated series joker and batman is who I imagine them looking and acting like that
Actually before Nicholson is joker from "the batman"
u seriously think leto was better than heath ledger joker? WTF
+DmanDanni1998 I think so you gotta a problem,
Ssj JohnsonGov nope just confused in how u could actually think that.
+DmanDanni1998 we gotta a sneek peek on Jared Leto's phsychotic joker. the joker is phsychotic like in the comics not an anarchist sure heath Ledger was Incredible but he wasn't true to the comics
"holy Las Vegas where are we! " 😂 😂 😂
Jack nickleson over mark hamill c'mon.
Nickelson now seems cheesy after ledger and hamill perfected the role.
Jack Nicholson was very limited with what was made about the Joker creation.
Jack Nicholson Is the reason behind all the dedication we see today about Joker performance.
He deserves the spot.
And is laught is unique
No
10. Jeff Bennet
9. Caesar Romarro
8. Michael Emerson
7. Richard Epcar
6. John Dimmagio
5. Troy Baker
4. Jack Nicholson
3. Cameron Monoghan
2.Mark Hamil
1.Heath Ledger
hamill should be number 1! wtf
True
So true
AGREED
Mark Hamill, Heath Ledger and Jack Nicholson should be tied as number 1. All three are what the Joker should be.
+Super Saiyan it's one thing to like him (even though his interpretation was crap) but you don't have to be so butt hurt whenever someone else states their own opinion
People complaining about Jared Leto not being on the List he had like 5 fucking minutes of Screen Time.
xD omg yes
exacly
Still better than Bennet and Romero.
For a movie that had about five minutes of Leto Joker, there was a hell of a lot of Leto Joker in the trailers.
And Jared Leto was a terrible joker. Honestly he didn't even deserve a honorable mention.
In my pinion Mark could very well play a awesome live action Joker. He has experience with the voice....Ledger was great too but he should have been #2 as he has only done the voice once. And all of these people including him got inspiration from Mark Hamill.
Mark is way to old and out of shape to play a live action joker. Troy Baker on the other hand definitely could
Noah S Cope Age aint shit man lol but if he loses weight I'm sure he can
Black Ice you're kidding right? he did such a terrible job in the the killing joke that just proves he's told old for this now
Noah S Cope Ummm in your opinion he did a terrible job.
My list
1:Heath Leager
2:Cameron Monahan
3:Mark Hamil
Perry the platypus i dont really agree with cameron butttt you know people have opinions
@@jeromusvaleskus3771 thank you
