Cesar Romero--the campy and mustacheoed Joker. Jack Nicholson--the most artistic and comical Joker. Heath Ledger--the most insane and fearless Joker. Jared Leto--the most broken and mafia-type Joker. Mark Hamill--the epitomé of the singing and voice of Joker
Well, of course he's great, it's M*ARK HAM*ill... One of my favorite Lines is from Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker: "Hello Gotham! Joker's back in town!"
The best thing about Mark's Joker is that he constantly brought something new to each of his takes on the character. While he obviously nailed down his basic style and tone during TAS, he added to and modified it over the years. The menace he brought to Return Of The Joker, the greater sense of intelligence you see in Arkham Asylum, and the sheer grossness and desperation he brings to Arkham City helped to keep him interesting and constantly evolving. He brought new layers to every performance. It made his Joker seem even more unpredictable, which is... well, pretty much why he's the best.
Mark Hamill best Animated Joker! Heath Ledger best Live ACTION Joker. Period But I got to say.... Joaquin Phoenix portrayal of the Joker looks promising. Can't wait.
"What are you REALLY up to?!" "Oh, nothing much. Millions of people dying in the street. All their pathetic lives drawn to an abrupt close, all thanks to me, you, and a book of matches. Was that the answer you wanted? Laughs" - Arkham Asylum, opening sequences.

@@nobodyimportant2470 fun fact: Tim Curry was originally meant to be the voice of Joker in "Batman: The Animated Series" but for some reason he couldn't commit; so the role went to Mark Hamill
@@almogz9486 Troy was trying to emulate Mark Hamill.
"Luke it's me hee hee! The clown Prince of crime, and also your father!"
"No that's not true that's impossible!"
"Get used to it kiddo BLAHAHAHAHAHA!"
I'd love to see someone animate that!🤩👌
What a crossroad. XD
I love when he puts his leg out to get Harley to stop 😂😂😂
Mark hamills joker is THE BEST
His performance is iconic.
Mark hamill has the greatest joker voice and no one will ever top him
i dunno, what he did to Barbara Gordon in The Killing Joke was pretty bad...
eh He just crippled her life and took nudes of her as she was on the floor helpless.
For a Joker Victim she got off,, easily.
Warllockmaster asd lmao
What about his throne of dead babies in the amusement park?
Or when he bombed an entire city killing 8 million civillians. I love the Joker but that was just too much, at that point I was happy to see that sick clown die.
@@megazeus2448 what about gassing a kindergarden?
Mr. Hamill, I feel that to be remembered for the best Joker voice beats out a Jedi Knight!
When I read comics with joker in them I hear hamil's voice
Same!!!
As you should 💯
Same especially when I watch Batman 1989 and see Joker's commercial. I hear both Mark and Arlene
Same
Same
Kids back in the 90's must feel pretty on edge whenever they heard Mark Hamill's Joker laugh his lungs out on tv back then.
As much as I enjoy Jack Nicholson, Mark Hamill will be always be The Joker. As a matter of fact, he's the BEST Joker. *Joker laugh*
Exactly, in fact, the only one who truly comes close would have to be Gary Busey
Ok.
Someone else who agrees that Jack Nicholson was better than Heath Ledger.
Oh he is the best!!! Love his performance. I mean, as a massive Batman fan, I do appreciate 'The Dark Knight' trilogy, but nothing, and I repeat: NOTHING beats the 'Batman' movie (which is directed by the talented Tim Burton).
Isaiah Albers lol in what world
joker singing jingle bells is one THE best moments.
That honorable mention of Static shocking the Joker that is one of my favorite Joker defeats but how exactly was that susposed to be terrifying
Mark hamill (as Luke Skywalker): “I’ll never join the dark side”
Also Mark Hamill: voices multiple villains/bad guys
“Your going to melt just like a Grilled Cheese Sandwich 🥪 “. Soooooo classic 😂😂😂😂😂
I knew that moment from Return of The Joker would be number 1. What he did to Tim Drake is like the DCAU equivalent of him killing Jason Todd.
Yes but in a way it was worse than killing
It was completely hell for Tim Drake
@@onomatopoeia7219 both body, mind and possibly soul. the fact he recovered to some degree still amazes me, well of course he end ups being possessed by the joker but when he was normal he seemed to have a functional life.
Its funny because they kinda meshed the two in Arkham Knight. Joker physically and mentally beats Jason for like half a year to the point where he deeply hates Batman and "kills" him.
Uhhh... you *DO* realize Under the Red Hood is DCAU and shows everything but the final boom that kills him, right? Always wondered why, though the lead up was so raw... after his struggles to reach the door after Joker beat him within an utter inch of his life, just to see the realization dawn on his face that he can't escape the bomb Joker left... *sobs*
Mark Hamill is the gold standard when it comes to giving not only a voice to The Joker, but the most deliciously sinister panache.
Number 1 was truly terrifying, the others were more funny than frightening. I think some of my favouriite dialogues from Mark Joker are in the game “Batman: Arkham Knight”
Blackbird94 It is, which is why at the wake of the Columbine Massacre, Warner Bros. replaced the death scene with one where The Joker is electrocuted.
*Joker dies twice in the countdown*
“Okay, who keeps using the dragon balls to wish him back??”
Omg lol yes
👀👀
@Isaac Blackard It's a joke.
With the reveal that there might be 3 jokers running around....🤔
The writers
The executives

@@jgamerxd3316 It's used by daffy duck almost in every Rabbit season, Duck season episodes. So it's Daffy's thing :D
Joker: "I'm crazy enough to take on Batman, but the IRS, no thank you!"
Mark Hamill is fantastic as the Joker, but I understand that Timm and Dini hired Tim Curry first and even recorded an episode with him, but found his performance so terrifying that they recast the role. I would love to hear Curry's take on the Joker.
Hmm, Pennywise the dancing Joker...
I can definitely see him doing the voice, but Hamill was the right call
I also heard Tim Curry had to be recast because he came down with bronchitis. Also, his Joker voice was too similar to his Captain Hook voice from “Peter Pan and the Pirates”.
Try Fern Gully
I love the IRS line.
fun fact the clown's laugh from the giant jack in the box was Tim Curry's joker laugh
Mark Hamill is a talent actors in doing voices and voicing The Joker is one of them.
always good to see Mark getting the respect he deserves in the Batman franchise... unlike other franchise we better not spoke of.
i was trully shocked to know it was Mark who voiced the Joker all that time he does a great job making the character shine in all its psychotic glory.
Yep they killed Luke so star wars is dead to me.
_If you don't like the movie, I've got slides!_
Dude, that was fucking terrifying what he did to Robin. Poor Tim was Joker and himself at the same time and was suffering from massive PTSD
@@dancastro4732 No doubt, absolutely sick. And yet, this feels like something Joker would do, if only so he could make a bad joke or twelve while or after he did it.
Joker singing Only You was so terrifying, I simply loved it.
April's fool he wasn't a joker he was serious
You might be right
You never know
"thats not funny.."
AGH THAT GAVE ME THE CHILLS HHH
That's also why I love the death scene in Arkham City, since it (arguably intentionally) both references and contrasts it.
Tim Drake's laughing turning into crying in that final scene always brakes my heart
I remember singing that jingle bells version as a kid but didn’t know where it came from
Man, the Joker death sequence from Return of the Joker is LEGITIMATELY epic. Animation, script, direction, narrative, sound track, voice acting - all absolutely FLAWLESS. A genuine must-watch.
He read Trump tweets with the Joker’s voice.
Honestly, I would be terrified if he reads the Communist Manifesto with Joker’s voice.
They also did Kevin Conroy reading Trump tweets. And it's hilarious
Communist Manifesto by the Jews is so scary in itself
@@stephsman51 is it hard being that stupid?

I GOT AN AD OF MARK HAMILL ADVERTISING THE NEW CHUCKY MOVIE-
How meta that was-
It was Joker level
Mark Hamill’s will always be the best Joker, hands down.
"you really put the *fun* in *funeral*."
5:16 Okaayyy joker cut up with them vocals!
One of my favorite Lines is from Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker:
"Hello Gotham! Joker's back in town!"
6:06 I never thought Mark Hamill could laugh so maniacally.
I have high hopes, He’s going to kill it as the new Chucky.
Should have been number 1
@@yan13502 I agree
Aww, there's one laugh I REALLY love from Return of The Joker in the scene where he's strangling Terry.
Period
But I got to say.... Joaquin Phoenix portrayal of the Joker looks promising. Can't wait.
Damn.. when joker sing only you it’s very creepy..
Imagine alone at home and suddenly you hear joker singing only you came out of nowhere..
The Joker is like Vaas from Far Cry 3. He may not always be the main antagonist but he always steals the show.
Wouldn't it be more likely that Vaas is like The Joker? You know since Joker is older than Vaas by several decades?
The joker IS batman's main antagonist....
@@aswd90 it's been speculated that Joker is an alien infection and that's how he survives death so often.
Vaas is In the game for 20 minutes, man. Hoyt was the actual villain

Mark’s jokers laughing after hitting Batman with the bag of rocks give’s me chills to this day and it’s one of my favorite laugh’s of his.
When super villains want to scare each other they tell Joker stories.
"It would be funny if it wasn't so pathetic ah what the heck I'll laugh anyway" is hands down my favorite Joker line of all time
“Some people just wanna watch the world burn”
"What are you REALLY up to?!" "Oh, nothing much. Millions of people dying in the street. All their pathetic lives drawn to an abrupt close, all thanks to me, you, and a book of matches. Was that the answer you wanted? Laughs" - Arkham Asylum, opening sequences.
This is one off my favorite roles he plays, Mark Hamill as The Joker is perfection. And though others have done a decent job, none can match him. Also it feels like Mark Hamill would play a great Frieza.
I 100% agree with your #1. It was my favorite moment in all of TAS and it's subsequent spinoffs. Great pics. Great video
