Many people say "villains are made, not born" if that's true, how is Guts, who has one of the most tragic life, can still feel compassion despite all? I think it's BS. Villains are born.

In the newer chapters he kinda does casca kinda gets her sanity back and everyone is happy on the island of fairies so he decides to let things be what they are even though he can't be with casca he finds a kind of peace ....... you know until Griffith fuckin wrecks it again 😂😂
Guts never forgave anything mostly all was true but the forgiving no, not until they are dead.
You forgot that he had to forgive himself (literally in the manga) and bet that is the stirring of an even more inspired character growth. just imo.

he chose to live for giving instead of pursuing his selfish dream of revenge... Forgiveness ain't anything but letting go. He tried, and he might still succeed despite griffith pathetically trying to live rent free in his head. That's power.

I think you are confused on him becoming nicer and more trusting with no more revenge. Thats bullocks, he brings casca to the island to renew her as well keep her safe, so he can leave once again to go and kill griffith not idle by on an island waiting to die, not happening. Also forgiveness is running away? he no longer seeking revenge? make up your mind especially with saying the giving part. Forgiveness is only running away to those who look at revenge as the only and true thing. No forgiveness in its right is the ability to remember and yet accept ones past evils with no more hate towards the individual.
As well griffith consistently thinks of guts, guts runs rent free in griffiths head as well, for good reason they werent just enemies they were friends first and foremost. They think of eachother and wish it could have been different in several ways. But they follow through changed and looked down different paths, guts isnt pursuing to give no, he is pursuing to make himself better on the inside and not be consumed by his unyielding rage, yet he still very much seeks revenge.

@@nIhIl34 he still is pursuing his dream of revenge whereas in the manga show, he doesn't. Every waking moment he is he's just calmer now surrounded by friends. Especially because someone he cares about is all right again. But if you don't think for a second that Guts wouldn't have Dragonslayer pointed at Griffiths's head you need to do some revaluating.

I can't help but a draw a connection between Guts and Eren from AoT. Espically with the whole "keep moving forward." Although Eren was pre-destined to do what he did, prior to him knowing his fate. He kept going regardless of the tradegy.
