NOW let go back to Miura, he has a STORY he want to tell, an EPIC TALE DARK FANTASY! he wants the world to know this! he talks about it every single time, we all know this because his friend has mentioned this, HE EVEN WROTE IT FOR HIGHSCHOOL! especially how everyone dies in Golden age arc, and the teacher said it was too dark it sounded terrible, but MUIARA WAS PROUD OF THAT because everyone got engage to the story and his best friend knows this as well because HE WAS THERE AS WELL considering that he wrote Griffith. All Miura wants to do is tell a story, a very good af story! and what better way to bring all of this for Miura than to his his OWN fan remembering his work, and EXPOSING IT TO NEW CROWD OF AUDIANCE We as old berserker fans will never forget, but the new ones have no idea of course. All they can do is put Muira project buried deep so they can keep a small fandom. It is Pathetic! Shame on these people and for trying to do a Lawsuit. I get it though, but the one that wants cash because their afraid to be overshadow DOESN'T GET IT.

Actually crazy that it's been almost 30 years and we still havent had a good quality anime for Berserk yet so a fan studio have just decided to make their own.

No more problematic than Made in Abyss and actually way LESS problematic than Redo of Healer. I think it has to do with the fact that the art is just SO DAMN GOOD, and it's also a really dark story, AND it's long, AND the scale of it is crazy, AND it's unfinished I think are the main reasons the industry won't commit to the whole thing with the quality it deserves.

Not counting video-games, (or that 2016, shitty CGI anime), they've shown Guts as the Black Swordsman twice in animation:
One in the first episode of the 1997 anime, and the second right at the end of the 3rd Golden Age movie, after the eclipse.

I mean it's kinda understandable, the manga does cover some questionable topics that it shouldn't be covered in the main stream media. Goblin Slayer was able to do a bit of it, but it isn't as bad to berserk.

Hazbin Hotel went through this. Creator made a pilot and later got a budget from Netflix and developed S1. N keeps buying rights to anime all the time, I bet they already tried with Berzerk. After One Piece I think they may persuade that they will do it justice. So... it is possible.

As the one gentleman said, The probably have a small team, and even with that small team, even with the choppy frames and home brew animation, they have succeeded in this single trailer alone to capture more of Berserk`s soul in this 3 min then all of Berserk 2016 and 2017 combined

ちなみに、いくらお金を落としても続きが作られる可能性は低いです。過去に進撃の巨人を利用し、同様の事を行っていますので。

@@kevinschwart1028 I don’t think they can match a full professional studio in terms of frame count but the way it’s stylized helps. Lots of shots in the trailer with less movement while others like Guts walking into the horizon has the cape physics.
Overall I don’t expect everything to be perfect. But for a fan project this is already pretty damn impressive
@sanddry738 They can sue them either way. No profit needs to be involved. Simply put, it's someone else's IP and they can tell us to stop our fan projects. The only real way around it is parody/ commentary, which projects like these clearly are not.

i hope netflix partners with a japanese studio to fully adapt it. i think thats the only way we could get a good official adaptation. japan isnt willing to fund an adaptation for some reason. they're way too busy with the trillionth isekai.

From what i understand about Japan is that a lot of times they have no clue how to get money from continuation of something. Yes they know how to bring in money, but for some reason not when they can continue a show, and sometimes even games, even tho they know ppl want more of it. Most of the times anime are being used as promotion for LN's and manga's. Ofcourse a 2nd season of something happens a lot more now, but it mostly stop at that. There will always be exceptions.
And if we look at popularity, some shows are only popular in the west and some only in Japan. And if a show doesn't do good in Japan there is a high chance there won't be a new season.
@@RLHvanDijk That is exactly why I think netflix is the only company that could do it. They can monetize shit much better. They've funded a bunch of anime adaptations recently. Continuation of the baki anime from 2001, jojo stone ocean, beastars, cyberpunk and pluto are a few that come to mind. They've also announced a remake of the one piece anime. Considering all this, I doubt they would go the live action route. They're well aware that there is a huge anime audience and are trying to make the most of it.

2016年のアニメが安っぽくて出来が悪いものだったというのは多くの日本のベルセルクファンが認めていたことだし、この動画が2016年のアニメより面白そうだと感じる者は日本にも少なからずいるだろう。だがそのことと、権利関係を無視してお金を稼ぐことが許されるかどうかというのはまた別の問題だからな。個人的には、問題が解決して作品が続いていくことを願っています。
Sadly it got taken down by the current ip holders, which makes sense since it was a fan project. I just hope the official adaptation of the Black Swordsman arc it's actually good, they can't keep butchering Mr. Miura's work like they did with the movies.
I used to think berserk was cursed and wouldn't get an anime adaption, but now I think it's badass that the community stepped up to do it themselves. No other manga series has that kind of pull. Great job everyone

Edit: Just because JJK is "generic" to you doesn't mean it applies to the fact that there are HUNDREDS if not THOUSANDS of popular fan animation of it covering contents that haven't even been animated yet. JJK is popular, people enjoy to watch/read it. Deal with it 💀. That was the issue, 3D animation made things easier and it didnt represent the artwork of miura in his manga.
lets not overhype it, the drawings and the use of colours is not correct, this looks more like jojo mix with castlevania than berserker...
There is 3d in this very trailer though..
uh....3d animation is when multiple of the same thing need to be drawn. i.e. fodder/armies. none of the shots used had any armies, for good reason. nobody wants to draw the same soldier 500 times per frame.

Theres definitely some rough and less detailed spots, but guts shooting the cannon ball and griffith exploding must be the most well animated scene. Thats something that competes with top studios right there

Thinking about it, I think this feels just right. Instead of big studios trying to capitalize on the legend and masterpiece that is berserk, the fans simply make it so a worthy anime for berserk exists.

I had extremely high hopes for this, and was extremely afraid that I'd be thoroughly let down again. The term "fan-animation" broke that fear, and I expected something amazing. This trailer exceeded those expectations by a very large margin. I'm not sure if I can properly put into words how excited I am for this adaptation. My wife and I have been spending around an hour picking the trailer apart frame by frame. The level of detail that has gone into making SURE that this is as true to the manga as it can possibly be is astonishing. I cried some big ol' tears of joy from having my favorite manga of all time adapted so faithfully. It feels like I'm watching the panels I grew to love come to life right in front of me in the best way imaginable.
The scene at 1:40 with Guts dreaming about Casca, and the absolutely stunning sky, grass, and sounds is by far my favorite scene I've ever seen regarding animated Berserk. That piano track absolutely floored us. It was exactly what I would expect the soundtrack of a melancholic Berserk scene to be. The level of care and passion put into each frame, every sound, and every pen stroke is very apparent, and incredibly appreciated. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for this trailer. Time to be on the edge of my seat biting my nails for 1 year straight.
