As much as some people insist lacquer doesn't matter it is amazing how more open and complex the unlacquered horn sounds.

The unlacquered works for me. 👏

The cherry on top would be to display the audio spectrum analyzer of your mic while you play so we can get an idea of what is actually brighter or darker.

Thank you for all that effort you put in! 🤩 I'm deeply grateful. I really dig that tune, Wave! It's a pearler of a Jobim tune. Based on what I heard, I'd be buying the unlacquered one. It better matches my sound concept of what I want from a tenor sax. 🌠🎷

You and both of them sound great. I guess I tend to prefer the unlacquered one.

At least on my phone I can't make out a difference. Both sound really really good - and at that price point there is no surprise they are sold out most of the time

The sound from the unlacquered seemed softer, more diffuse. I suppose that gives it more potential for a sound that's warmer, tones that you feel more than you simply hear.

Sir…please put a little staccato and marcato accents along with the smooth stuff in your demos-just a suggestion

They are both great. There might be some difference., but it's almost imperceptible. And it could be something other than the lacquer either one can be
exploited with different mouth pieces, reeds, et cetera. I of course, would have to have both of them!
