  • Apologies for some of the angles as I didn't have anyone to record me I just wore the gopro on my helmet while doing this.
    The steps are:
1: Cut the zip ties holding canister to its bracket
2: Remove or cut 2 hoses connected the top of the canister and one connected to the bottom
    3. Remove the two hoses from the valve under the tank beneath the plastic cover (one end comes off the left throttle body the other we cut in step 2.) remove both of these hoses from bike
    4. The one remaining hose that was connected to top of the canister is now joined to the bottom hose (this is the tank overflow)
    5. Remove the canister bracket and detach the the relay
    6. The relay and valve remain on the bike to prevent issues. The relay is rerouted underneath the seat.
    7. Cap the throttle body nipple.

DUDE! You got lucky using a gas torch on those fuel scavenge lines. Thanks for the video.

This is the second video I have watched saying the relay will fit under the seat. On my 2017 Pure (Canadian purchase) there is absolutely zero room for the relay to sit without interfering with the seat.

Quick question. What did you do with the relay connection and if nothing, are you getting any codes?

I kept the relay just disconnected the hoses from it

Can you post a link to the caps and connectors you used to join the hoses? Or just post the sizes for the straight connector and blanking grommet?

as long as you don't disconnect any of the electrical plugs I don't see why not

Hi. Keen to do this. Did you have any subsequent CAN bus issues, with error reporting on the instrument cluster etc?

No errors but make sure you don’t disconnect the valve connector hitch is under that plastic side piece at the front left of bike (I just removed the hoses from it and left the connector and valve in place)

Hi, do you have a video of your GS mudguard mod?
I want to do this on my scrambler.
    Thanks

I don’t have a video but its a direct bolt on. I bought the mudguard used off a 2012 gsa and then looked up the parts fiche for that bike for the bolts needed, one of which is a special spacer. Then its just direct bolt on.

Thanks for your quick response. I got all the parts for the mudguard but wonder what you used as a plate holder and where you routed the cabling for the plate light. Thanks again.

Silaxe1 i had an extra license plate bracket, i drilled the mudguard to fIX the bracket and then ran the license plate light cable along the inside and then along the rear brake kine

what is the benefit of removing

    • @diyducati8252
      @diyducati8252  5 ปีที่แล้ว

Basic gist I unburt fuel and oil is recirculated into your engine, while better for emissions over time it can get buildup and hard starts. Checkout this video
