Lightning Slash is crazy strong, it's hitting with the dang thing the problem. Pretty much the only time I land this thing is when I know someone's going to whiff their swing, or their Eleonora's ability is going to fall just a little short.
...Which, granted, is super satisfying when it does, because Lightning Slash hits like a truck. The version on Dragonscale Blade hits even harder if the frostbite goes off, too.
Yep, I use it on a dex build with a lightning Zweihänder occasionally, it does likes 1800 damage in total but is really hard to land. That's why I usually stick to Giant's hunt.

I think the logic is that this would be overpowered because dex also boosts cast speed.

I've been using lightning slash on zweihander in PvE lately and its AMAZING.
It can literally stun lock cleanrot knights in haligtree etc. And does over 2k damage per swing.
That's a weapon I rarely see being used

Would love to see a Black Bow build with high arcane with focus on applying bleed, poison, sleep, and rot. Could be fun.
Arcane is useless, doesn’t work with any bow except serpent bow.
@@johndang897 Oh. Really? I thought it would increase the rate of status buildup like it affects other status methods (like sleep pots). Still, then pure DEX with the Black Bow.
The two players with the bloodhound weapons and matching armor are a good example of why it's more fun to display character names than player IDs. It's especially important when seeing a team with a theme.
The more you use the Knight's Greatsword, the more it makes me wanna use it as my main weapon. Based moveset AND Beautiful design.
I'd like to see a build that uses two weapons - dual wielded - but not power stanced. Are there ways you can interlace the movesets of two different weapons together?

afaik UGS and thrustings swords have some true combo opportunities.
Works best on an arcane build imho.
Offhand Omen cleaver, and something with a 1h jumping true combo like Loretta’s halberd or guardian swordspear.
Jumping true combo, Omen Cleaver L1 rollcatch into hitstun, follow with AoW of your choice, I like repeating thrust.
Or
Offhand Blood omen cleaver + RoB, running R2, L1, L2. If they’re still breathing, reset ready to punish the estus or bolus which is almost certainly coming.
I’m blown away how consistent you are uploading PvP videos. Constantly making new content while following the same theme. Endless builds and styles like pure dragon breath builds and other builds like the great bow. Surprisingly keeping it interesting.
i wish the anticheat wasn't so pesky so that we could still use harmless client-sided mods like your uchiha cape back in ds3. maybe could do something with the host/phantom colors too to make them easier to differentiate
On the Zweihander it's bonkers. Works really well because of the extra reach. Love that sword.
These videos are usually filled with awesome moments. Today's was even more extraordinary with exceptional moments and then jewels like killing the host with the kick part of the ash of war, and the killer omen of The Pillar of Ultimate Undoing.

Great invasions! I use this with the dismounter on my Dex build with the lightning physic and the roll catches are devastating. Also Dex lightening makes me feel like Tomoe from Sekiro 😅

One of the best AoWs available for Colossals I reckon. Love it on the Golems Halberd or Rotten Duelist Axe as a follow up to the rolling R1.
It’s awesome on the Knight’s greatsword too though. Because that sword is awesome. Nice showcase.
Give some thought to Crucible shoulder charge to dragon claw if you have time. I wanna hear you going ‘Weeeeeeee! SLAP!’

2 days in a row with no gravity kills
45 gravity kills since march 9th, totaling 38k~ damage
Anyone else been enjoying stamp sweep ash with a colossal? Nobody uses it so I gave it a shot with the Greatsword and you can immediately do the heavy follow up slash after hitting L2. It's pretty fast so it always catches people off guard and messes up their roll and space timing. As a bonus it can knock them down which makes for easy roll catches. Might be combo potential but haven't bothered checking yet.
I don't use Colossals much, but isn't the running-R2 on Colossal Swords almost the exact same swing-arc as Stamp: Sweep? It's basically like the Sword equivalent to using a Giant-Crusher with Lions Claw, yea? Where you sacrifice your move-set options to have a more powerful version of a move you already had access to.
I'm just theorycrafting, but I would imagine that the Sword would run into the same issues as the Giant-Crusher: ie that it can be powerful, but having such a limited move-set makes you very predictable and leaves you with limited options to deal with Counters.
Faith Build With 2 Coded Swords in the new black! Sprinkle in some honed bolts also to imitate the big boys...

I'm almost positive I remember hearing Chase once say on stream that they don't go out of their way to cherry-pick their Invasion clips and that their actual Win-Rate is ~90%+. I could be totally wrong, but I think the main problem with your idea is that Chase rarely loses Invasions. Most of the extremely-close-calls I've seen Chase in were when Chase got blendered or the enemy was extra-laggy.
You should go all the way and combine the lightning spells with this build too.

I'm curious, Chase, what's your favourite summon range to PVP in? I see a lot of rl139, but I know you also sometimes go rl125 and rl150, and even the occasional rl200 invasions.
would you ever re visit golden order great sword? It’s my favorite weapon despite the hate it’s gets for not being like the dark moon great sword lol like try and stack it to do as much damage as possible and also you’d be surprised how often you can hit the initial part of its ash of war!

Is there a list of all the "True-Combos" for every weapon in Elden Ring?
I have a lot of hours on ER, but I've only recently begun to understand what True-Combos even are in the game. I used to think Raptor Talons were garbage until I tried R2+R2 on Rennala, then it was like a whole new world of combat options suddenly opened up for me.
But I tend to prefer slower/Poise-ier weapons like Great Hammers, and I've been having a hard time trying to figure out if my favorite weapons have any combos.
So is there like a spreadsheet or such anywhere that just has all the combos listed that I could browse through, instead of manually testing them with probably bad testing methods?
BTW Chase, some guide style videos where you go through some of the "Fundamentals" you're so good at, and break them down, and explain what these obtuse terms mean, and explain how to practice these skills - Would be S-Tier Content. I doubt it'd even take much more effort than your normal videos. Basically just some longer versions of the introductions you give each video.
You've (Chase) been playing Souls games so long I think you might not realize how ???????? a lot of this stuff is to Elden-Ring-Babies. I've been watching you for a year or so now, and it was like 2 weeks ago that I finally understood what True-Combos probably are. I bet I'm not the only one who would appreciate having some of this stuff explained.
That’s definitely a great video idea with the DLC coming up. I’m sure it would be good to brush people up on fundamental, so I’ll definitely think of a way I can do that! As for great hammers with a true combo, I know the beastclaw greathammer has a one-handed heavy attack to attack combo. That’s the only one that I can think of off the top of my head. Compared to the dark souls 3 pvp days not as many weapons have combos unfortunately.
Did you know you can use a SACRED enchantment while also using the lightning slash on the same weapon? The giant crusher has great scaling, plus the lightning damage, some talismans, and a few buffs I saw AR over 1200.
Use the Stone Club r1 and Cragblade, it combos most of the time and looks goofy

I would love to see how many rune arcs Chase has.
Lighting Slash is a great Ash of war beacause its a three-hit combo, and it can cut atk animation of enemies and end up buffing your weapon for extra damage XD
But idk if its better the ash or the armament for damage.

LOL, lightning slash on knights greatsword is literally what Ive been running in my level 30 run. Great damage for very low stat investment, especially with lightning damage and dex physik
Chase, I'm unfamiliar with the game's pvp and I wanted to know how you hit consecutive light attacks at 19:10. Were you manually turning your character so that the start of the attack animation's hitbox would make contact with them sooner or something?
For the fire statues, most actions cause it to go down, the only action the player can do that won’t trigger it is jumping on it

I have to ask; what's the most consistent RL for PvP? It has been awhile since I've played and I don't remember it people run 120-125 or 150-160
139 invades 125-150 so it's very active
150 as the host. 139 as an invader. Going 150 as invader drastically boosts your win rate, but 139 has a bit better matchmaking times off peak time.
Lightning slash is shockingly strong
So do golem great arrows still drop, because I've recently been doing some achievement cleanup and I've gotten many bows and many halberds and many regular great arrows, but none of the golem sort
Im aware most folks that use them use dupes and save files to get full stacks, but it seems unethical if they dont drop anymore naturally to use them in PvP
(All that said, I haven't spent a ton of time trying to get them to drop and I know the drop rates are less than ideal, its why im asking if anyone can confirm if they still drop naturally)
they still drop, they're just extremely rare

I don't know why some hosts just give up in pvp when their phantom(s) die. At least go down fighting instead of just standing there, or even dropping to your knees.
