    Drove one last weekend and they're BAD ASS! I'm not a huge Can Am guy (not Polaris either) but these new turbo Mavricks are very powerfull, great handling and very comfortable for larger fellows. Oh yeah they look slick too. One thing I'm not a fan of is the rear bed or lack there of. Almost need a bed liner because there is many open areas for stuff to fall right through. Good job Can Ham! Lol. Sorry had to. :)

    Way to break in a turbo...I like how almost every machine is a Razor...everybody argues, just take the machine you like best. I like my RZR 900 with 8 inch lift and 32s over my RZR 1000...and the Can Am looks great...I just know you can only go so fast in the woods or mud, if I myself I wanted a dune buggy Id get neither, I would build a 427 fuel injected dune buggy...Can or Polaris , they are both great...But boy that Wildcat is a downer

    ya my buddys run lots of can am and polaris im not one sided.... I tell the truth but after every rally and every ride is sure isnt the polaris goin back to the dealer... its always and i mean always canam, its pretty bad when my buddies have a group chat goin on between them to see whos goin to pick up a fixed bike or whos takin up a fucked one for repairs or parts.now thats sad so go buy watever you like... but if you wanna ride dont get a canam... if you wanna fix get a canam

      I've owned a Can-Am Commander XT-P 1K since March, now. I have it out nearly every weekend, it has made several top speed runs, and has seen plenty of crawl time as well. It has yet to see the dealer for repairs, and still looks just as good as the day I bought it. The fit and finish, and design, is far better on the Can-Am's. I'm not a big fan of the cheesy interior design or rattling plastics on the Polaris. It's quite nice to have the parts stay in place, and not annoy me by vibrating. Just like anything else, if you thrash on it like an idiot, it can break. I wheel smart, and choose my lines appropriately. I'm not going to run in head first, slam into a hole, and beat on the machine to force it through. That's what breaks parts. They're a machine designed for specific rider types. The type of rider that belongs on a Can-Am, knows how to ride a Can-Am. For everyone else, there's always the cheap throw-away Polaris. Which, is what you will find in all forms of powersports, including sleds. So, stating that Can-Am's break every run, is total BS. I can go outside right now, fire it up, and head on down the trail without fail. At least I have the security of knowing in my mind, that my fuel tank is made of steel (Polaris uses plastic), and it has it's own compartment away from the exhaust (Also unlike Polaris) to where it won't catch fire after a hard ride. Then again, I also like the security of knowing, when I pull the key my Can-Am can be found where I left it.

    I bought the 2013 machine for $17,500 CAD. plus tax
    more issues than ride time
    belt grenades and takes out the bolt under recall and the plastic casing
    the rim cleaners pinch rocks into the aluminum rims causing them to deflate and make a nasty sound
    the bushings squeaks like crazy in a month or two
    the rear diff fails in a year or two
    first oil change $280
    2nd service for oil and diffs $500
    warranty work is done if the dealer feels Iike it then you have to get it past the French BRP office with a $ 50 deductible after 3 months
    look it up to your homewor
    bet the burnout is the biggest exsuse for void warranty
    don't believe me? go buy one learn the hard way

    Their mid engine design has yet to show anything worth while. I have a RZR 1k, Friend Mav1k. He has been through so many belts and so many problems. My RZR1k is still kicking and yet to have to go into the dealer. Mid engine, let me tell you about cabin heat. That thing is like a fuckin sauna. Add now a turbo to it. Holy crap, you now have a couple more HP, what looks to be the same shitty suspension but now with larger shocks, same small tires. Its going to be the same game of how much can you really get out of this mid engine go kart. Its doesn't have any actual performance.

      I eat xp1 all day long in my junk ass pos go cart... doesn't say much for popo huh?

    • @MidwestUTV
      @MidwestUTV 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The original mavericks actually had 2.5 inch shocks from the git go. But I agree, the mid engine design from can-am has yet to prove anything pertaining to performance. If anything polaris 1k center of gravity is still lower than the maverick. Not to mention I could spend less than a grand and put on a cold air and exhaust and put out the same power level without a turbo.

    • @aarong2789
      @aarong2789 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I guess the next thing you'll say is you've never seen any performance gains in a mid engine sports car, the maverick has almost 50/50 weight distribution, ive never had a rzr even come close to keeping up with me on the trails, Midwest, go throw a cold air kit on your xp and see if it hangs with the turbo, you guys are ridiculous.. I guess since it handles so bad that's why it kicked popos ass in the GNCC this year along with score, (Baja). get off the popo wienny.

    • @MidwestUTV
      @MidwestUTV 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      First of all you cant compare UTV's to mid engine sports cars, those are two very different ball games. And you probably havent had a maverick touch you on the trails because no one else in the popo's know how to drive. Ive owned both machines and I can honestly say I have never been had by a maverick, I beat them on the trails with my 900 rzr. And YES I can say that building these machines custom for a living that if you put a cold air and exhaust on a 1000 and gave it a bit more fuel so it wouldnt run lean with the pipes that it would keep up with 121 hp if not be above that mark by 3 or 4 hp. And you cannot determine which machine is better because of one race. GNCC is a big event but that has no validation towards your point. There are plenty of races ive seen just here in MO and KS that say otherwise.

    • @aarong2789
      @aarong2789 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      yeah, I guess you have a point, a whole season of gncc means nothing. your outta your skull if you think a xp900 can hold a candle to the maverick. the suspension on it sucks. I guess you could throw a little bit of coin at the xds and your back to killing the xp again, why mod one and not the other? ill put y money on the mav every time. ive been riding for 30+ years and I know a thing or two as well.
