They did not understand you at that "pizza" place. Because it's not a pizza place. It's zapiekanki place and a good one. They thought you were asking if they serve pizza at that place and they don't. It's like a pizza but on a baguette bottom, Polish snack dating back to the times when almost nobody in Poland knew what a "pizza" even was.

Mate, I don't know who told you that "whole Poland comes to party in Poznań" but... 🤪🤣🤪🤣🤪 This kind of nightlife is a common thing in every Polish city (to be honest, Warsaw has a 100 times bigger and more interesting nightlife than Poznan. Cracow the same [though there are to many drunk Brits])...

Poznan is a beautiful city, especially at night in the night club. I've been there several times and the people are friendly towards foreigners, I feel like I'm at home there. The Polish people and the police are very friendly and helpful. I love this street.

  • @pgruszewski

Evan, I like how you're getting confused about 'zapiekanki' (plural) places. 'Zapiekanka' (singular) is nothing else like a minipizza, but on fresh bread-roll, but more of a Polish style.nLots of toppings to choose from. It's pretty traditional now (not an old tradition, but still). Thing is, if you ask staff about pizza there, no one will ever answer 'yes', as it's not considered a pizza in Poland :D Cause not made on a pizza dough bottom, of course. Greets from Ireland.

You know you're breaking the law by recording all these people? In Poland and throughout the European Union, it is forbidden to show people on recordings without their consent. You should either ask them for permission, which would be rather difficult, or blur their faces.
When you go somewhere, you should find out what the laws are there, and not pretend that I, from the USA, can do it all.

    • @Mikolaj91
      @Mikolaj91 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@MrNiszuPL In any public place where there are people (park, shop, market, tram, etc.). It's about privacy, not everyone wants to be public for various reasons and that's why the EU has issued GDPR regulations.
You can record everything from a public place, but when people pass by, you have to blur people's faces, especially when you are face to face with it, e.g. with a saleswoman, with a lady waiting for a bus at one stop, and you can see her.
Some interpret the rules so that when you record people in the crowd, you can. The crowd is not interpreted whether it is 50 people or 5,000.
As far as I know, the courts, even such recordings in the crowd, take and impose a fine, do not have fun and do not count how many people, for them a ban is a prohibition.
This is good, in Europe people respect their privacy. I know that in America everyone walks with cameras and they are used to it, but they prefer the rules as we apply.

@@Mikolaj91 Ok but I rarely see anybody do this in Europe. I've seen countless vlogs and I don't see people's faces blurred. I don't question the legal stuff but I think it's not that serious of a deal.

I've worked for a media company doing promos and so on before the GDPR law came to power in the EU and after. I can tell you that it became incredibly difficult to film something nice after GDPR. But here is what this law is about, roughly:
      1. You can't film peoples faces from close distance without their consent (can be verbal & recorded) but let's put it this way: YT won't impose fines on you as an individual creator but a person visible in your video who did not consent to being recorded (especially drunk or acting in a compromising manner) can press charges against you and gets a good chance of winning the case under the GDPR.
      2. You can film people from behind
      3. You can film people's bodies but not faces.
      4. You can film from a distance (distance is not precisely regulated, usually it's about 80-100m, as long as you can't distinguish individual faces in the crowd)
      5. By no means whatsoever can you record children
Other than that blur everyone. GDPR sucks balls. But usually with travel content on YT, 95% of people recorded have no idea that they are on a YT video and those that do, are happy to be on camera. But still, if a person finds himself on a video like this one, especially drunk, can absolutely press charges for breaking the GDPR. It's just that 99.9% of people never will.

That law is contradictory with other protections on free speech, which includes the right to document or record.
I know that in practice, Western European countries are shit for free speech and right of expression, but in theory the EU actually protects it.
