after ww2 it was the opposite and now the reverse is happening, i know why, COST OF LIVING 100% you work in the USA like a dog and what do you have to show for it? record debt, record rents, high energy and utility prices, not worth it, yet you can work in the US or UK for 10yrs SAVE UP and love to poland or even ukraine or belarus or croatia and live like a KING because rent is cheaper, food is cheaper, people are NICER its not so hectic and rush rush all day, i get it, im hoping to move to the phillipines or thailand one day

I moved from California to Kraków Poland 8 1 /2 years ago. I love my city and the country of Poland. Everything you said is very true. I am 66 years old and live on a fixed income. I have a much better quality life here than I could in the States. I feel very safe here as well. I have come to have great respect for Poland and her people.
What is better in States then? I've never been there, but let me create my list after viewing so many films and reading the books. 1. Average house/apartment is bigger and cheaper to buy (maybe not in California though) 2. Typical car is bigger 3. Less biurocracy - most of the things you can do online or over the phone, like here in the UK 3. Variety of climate - you can go in the winter from snow in Rhode Island to the sunny Texas. 4. People are nicer, but often I find it shallow and fake. Even after having lived in the UK for the past 15 years. My main downside of living in the USA is the cost of the health service. Also, artificial food and this horrible for the most part and tasteless, spongy and lacking texture white bread.
Probably Poland is good for retirement. I spent in total 8 years in Poland, for now I live in Carlsbad, California. The day I left Poland was one of the best in my life. Sure, CA has higher crime level, but in Warsaw, "European" capital, in city center someone stole lamp from Uber-Food courier which costs only $1.25.. The theft is common thing there. Of course, they also steal from cars when you leave smth that attracts attention. So basically crime is the same in SF, LA - most dangerous cities of California. The Poles are very hypocritic people, they hate their neighbor countries - Germany, Russia, Ukraine.. Germany invested billions in this ungrateful county and Poles still hate it. I don't get it. Sure someone says the Americans are fake, probably, but I prefer American society to hypocrite, morally humiliated and arrogant poles
@@yurimolotov3355 Southern California, near the beach, was where I was born and raised. At the time, 1950s to 1970s, I thought it was the greatest place to be raised. But in 1980 I moved to the Rockies of Colorado. Later we moved to Washington state and Kentucky. Then in 2004, I moved back to So Cal to caregive for my elderly and legally blind dad until he passed away.💔 Afterwards, in 2013, I moved to Poland. With the way you feel about Poland and her people, it seems you made a good decision to leave. I understand, as I felt the same when I left Kentucky to move back to California. Ten long years in eastern Kentucky made me grateful to return to California, though when I left in 1980 I swore I would never move back. I hope life goes well for you there.

I'm a software engineer and I moved to Poland in 2017. To be honest, I was thinking to use Poland as a jump place to move to Western countries like Netherlands or UK. But then despite all of challenges that I had in Poland such language barrier, 50 shades of Grey wheather and so on, I kinda love living in there. I live in Kraków (it is a magnificent city) and I fell in love the atmosphere of this city. Not only city but the opportunities in tech market is another reason to stay here. Last but not the least, the cost of living is amazing when you work in IT companies. Finally, this year I started to learn Polish as I enjoy being here. Your video proved how a smart decision it was to live in Poland. Dziękuję bardzo dla video. ---Polska biało czerwoni ---

Wow, that is a very powerfull story about my eastern neighbours! Many thanks. When I was in my early twenties, the iron curtain was falling. Now coming into an age that my (early)retirement is very close, I am already looking forward to travell much more into the Eastern countries as well. Ten film to jedna z najlepszych reklam Polski, jakie widziałem. Wymieniasz same suche i przede wszystkim prawdziwe fakty, o których my Polacy często zapominamy. Powodzenia!

I moved permanently to Poland 6 years ago after many years of visiting and studying here. But my reasons were not primarily economic, but spiritual. The reason the crime rates etc are low in Poland, is because, even in spite of the cruelty of past wars and occupations, basic human decency is a staple characteristic of the average Pole. I hope that never changes. I would never live anywhere else.

San Francisco is one of the most expensive cities to live in the US, so of course living in Poland will seem inexpensive. Only $600 per month for a one bedroom apartment? Tell that to Polish people who make that kind of money per month. Living in Poland is inexpensive if you come with a dollar or have a western salary, but for everyday Pole is extremely expensive. On the other hand I agree that Poland is one of the safest countries to live at, also very clean, good food, nice restaurants, buildings are very well maintained, attractive architecturally. Also in comparison with San Francisco that have the highest number of homeless people, you can hardly find any homeless people.
Considering the hardships the Poles endured during the war, I find that we may salute the Poles for being so resilient and inventative. I can only respect their hard work and determination.

Many polish people leave the country to feed their families and have property here in Poland because you can't really buy house or new car for salaries . Besides bureaucracy is another problem. Yes , it's developing quite fast but life is pretty hard for simple working people. They get 3000 pln and pay 1000 for rent 500-800 food 150 transport and how much can you save 1000 pln =250$ ?? In America waiter can earn 4000$ and save 2500-3000 $
I am in the US and I would like to know what waiters make that much and can save that much. In Chicago people are really struggling financially. Many people live with family or have multiple roommates in order to afford the rent. Property taxes here are astronomically high and getting higher. And the bureaucracy is horrible in the state of Illinois. I will be leaving this country because I can no longer afford it. The people that I know in Poland live comfortably and many live quite well.

This video is truly inspiring! "Why I left California for Warsaw, Poland" by Dominik Andrzejczuk, a Polish-American tech enthusiast advocating for the growth of the tech ecosystem in Poland, sheds light on his remarkable journey and the opportunities that Poland offers. One aspect that particularly struck me was Dominik's mention of the inspiring role that Polish forests play in fostering innovation. Nature has always been a wellspring of creativity, and Poland's beautiful landscapes, like its forests, provide an ideal backdrop for those seeking to nurture their innovative spirit. Furthermore, Dominik's mention of the translated version of Halliday Resnick Walker's fundamentals of physics is noteworthy. Access to high-quality educational resources, such as this fundamental physics textbook, is instrumental in empowering students and aspiring innovators. It showcases Poland's commitment to providing quality education to its citizens and nurturing the next generation of scientists and engineers. Dominik's decision to move from California to Warsaw speaks volumes about the growth and opportunities available in Poland's tech sector. Great video! I left Poland at a tender age of 19, many years ago, and often think of what life would be like if I went back. Maybe it's time! Dziekuje!
I totally understand your wondering @Renata Kasowska. I recall upon one of my trips back coming back to Canada and saying "ok I get it Poland is like my house but Canada is my home". Still always wondering what if.... but at the same time without any regrets. There is a certain magic of our culture that we can't find any where else. Best of everything.
Fantastic - I am a proud Pole from Massachusetts- hope to go back in a few years too. Poland 🇵🇱 is a truly unique place ! Thank you for this encouragement 👍
That is an excellent presentation that summarizes the benefits of living and working in Poland succinctly. I've emigrated overseas from Poland over 20 years ago and currently work with Polish Engineers as part of our company's global collaboration initiative. Super talented and well-educated folks. Many foreign national companies have been setting up offices in Poland, but unfortunately still treat Polish employees as a relatively 'cheap' workforce. Your statement about former engineers turned entrepreneurs really resonated with me. I hope that in the near future, Polish entrepreneurs will wake up and realize that they can compete directly on the global scale with American and other leading companies so that they can realize and earn the actual value for their work rather than getting paid 30 cents on a dollar. As you stated, the cost of living is low, but that goes for foreigners who decide to relocate to Poland and still make US-level salaries (a dream come true scenario). If you are paid Polish-level remunerations, then your cost of living would be raised drastically and must say that a professional living in North America would be years ahead in terms of the standard of living and purchasing power. All in all, seeing what is happening in the US and Canada, Poland and other Central European Countries are extremely attractive. Poles simply need to figure out how to compete directly on global markets and spread the benefits top-down to all employees. Best Regards.
I used to live in Mississauga & Toronto for 8 years. Then I decided to move back to my first love which is Warsaw. The huge , very modern but also with old town and old traditions City were I was born and raisd up to 19 years old. And I must to say that it was my biggest mistake in my life. U have to b rich to say nonsens like that . Coz i guarantee u that if u would b regular polish middle class the difference in standard r just overwhelming. We do not live in a houses and usually , regular polish family with 2 or 1 kid own just one car and mostly it's an older one. That's true that Poland and especially Warsaw is changing for better very, very quickly. In just 30 years when Poland had gotten real independents it has change more then a lot. In 2008/9 I have been to UK. In Glasgow to b exact. Already I had a feeling that Warsaw was not less modern. But Ive noticed that brits r more rich then us. Seriously, 12 years leter Poland is almost equal to UK. For sure is richer then some of the western countries like Portugal, Greece etc. ...its all great but U can not compare Europe to Canada. And certainly u can't compare Canada to Poland. The standard of lifestyle is different like crazy. Even stupid costomer servis. This thing doesn't exist in Poland. When Canada decided to let gey people to marry if they want? Like in 2005/6? This is how Poland is delayed. 15- 20 yeras behind Canada. That's the reality.
Poland is a place where many international companies have decided to establish their branches or financial and tax centers, eg SSC. Why? There are many reasons: in Poland we have excellent, qualified employees who speak several foreign languages, competitive salaries, rich technical and research infrastructure. In Poland, there are over a dozen great universities educating specialists whose knowledge and qualifications are recognized all over the world. It is worth coming to Poland and see for yourself!
Top reason for multinational corporations: in Poland they pay 1/3 to 1/4 of a wage they'd need to be paying in USA, Switzerland or UK for comparable quality of work...
"A dozen great universities': according to QS World University Rankings, only 2 (yes.. TWO) polish universities are among the top 500: the University of Warsaw (position 321) and the Jagiellonian University (position 326). The Warsaw University of Technology was ex aequo 511-520.

Ten film to jedna z najlepszych reklam Polski, jakie widziałem. Wymieniasz same suche i przede wszystkim prawdziwe fakty, o których my Polacy często zapominamy. Powodzenia!

It begun promissing when Polish commander, a winner if the Klushino battle, Stanisław Żółkiewski was very popular and trusted by the Muscoviens, things turned wrong when the king Zygmunt III Vasa, married to a Habsburg daughter, actually did what Habsburg told him to do, a shame and a tragedy, because had it not been for him we would be in a union living in peace in a largest and best country in the world. Well , I am international student in Warsaw. It can be quite good place for CEO s or IT professionals like you but what about others ? Many polish people leave the country to feed their families and have property here in Poland because you can't really buy house or new car for salaries . Besides bureaucracy is another problem. Yes , it's developing quite fast but life is pretty hard for simple working people. They get 3000 pln and pay 1000 for rent 500-800 food 150 transport and how much can you save 1000 pln =250$ ?? In America waiter can earn 4000$ and save 2500-3000 $
propaganda movie. life in Poland is not easy.
Currently you can't buy a house anywhere in the Western world for salary if you're not an CEO or professional anyway.
@@lesfleurs9781 where do you want to move ? You aren't from US or too lazy to work
@@ilyosbekjumayev4869 how dare you say that I don’t live in the US or that I am lazy, when you don’t know one damn thing about me! I have lived most of my life in Chicago and I have worked six days a week my entire life. Average rent in Chicago is $2000 per month. Don’t take my word for it, look it up. When I had to call the state of Illinois earlier this year, it took one week for them to call me back and no you couldn’t do it online. So don’t tell me about things that you do not know about. These are just a couple of examples.
Is sad to see many people leaving Poland to go to USA, Canada and Germany.
Poland is the best country to live in many ways. Life quality and full of opportunities.

@@TheGreatMandalore -Polish, not polish.
It's clear that Poland is emerging as a global tech hub, and his journey is a testament to the country's potential.
I'm excited to see how Poland's tech ecosystem continues to evolve and how individuals like Dominik are making significant contributions to this growth. This video is an excellent testament to the potential and opportunities that Poland has to offer.
Hearing that makes me proud too, although I'm just a high school teacher. Go Poland! 🇵🇱

Thank you, I am using this for a GSCE to choose a country and talk about it and there are some really encouraging facts here!
