But that doesn’t justify pulling the race card. Race hustling is the lowest form of exploitation. In the interest of making a quick buck, dudes willing to sell out those who were integral in his success and also capitalize on a narrative that divides people, instead of doing something positive with his life... it’s a damn shame 🤦‍♂️

He feels he deserved more & should have the pay some these megastars have today, that $75-100 million contracts & Scottie never made close to that. But he can’t really blame anyone, he should’ve leaned into his Robin-Sidekick role & branded himself as the best side-kick ever rather Jordan retired & he was hoping he could get stardom status but he was too old at that point

Mind you as a black and Mexican man I will usually side with players (especially legendary players who have so much to lose) This question Shaq is address is referring to an interview when Scottie was asked about him sitting out during the last 1.8 seconds during a playoff game because a play was being ran for Toni Kukoc’ (who was a rookie) while Scottie was being used as a decoy. Scottie felt like it was a “racial ploy” to get Toni more attention as a white man. Was it disrespectful and probably a poor call to run a play for Toni instead of Scottie who was an mvp candidate that year? Yes probably..Phil was probably overthinking things in the moment or got bad advice from one of his assistants. Does that make Phil a racist? No. If anyone knows anything about Phil and political stuff he has done a lot of stuff behind the scenes including vocal and financial support towards organizations and campaigns that work towards equality and social justice. I love Scottie and I can understand why he feels slighted especially considering the real racism and circumstances he overcame and his personal struggles lately…but that doesn’t make Phil Jackson a racist.

  • @TonyPajamaz

I feel bad that Pippen will never get the respect he truly deserves. Jordan took all the attention but without Scottie, Jordan only has 3 rings max. He let himself be screwed over for the sake of the team and when it came time for him to get what was due he was disrespected. I would definitely hold resentment towards those who I felt wronged me and I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s the same way. The Jordan Documentary was great but he did Scottie wrong a bunch of times where he didn’t need to at all, yet did. I think he’s had enough and wants to finally speak about what occurred during his time as a player. I’m very interested to see what he has to say soon.

even without pippen mJ still will have those ring or he could have more any player can have pippen place and rise as best partner of MJ. he problem is they think MJ taking the credit alone but the fact is they are discrediting MJ from those championship. MJ attarct all the defense of his opponent thats why his team mate as more space to score. pippen already earn respect from MJ himself and every one by naming him as one of the greatest NBA of all time and one of the best defender of all time. but those respect he is slowly loosing it lately. the way he attack everybody including MJ and Phil. J. which give him the spot as MJ partner. promotion or not its a bad move to do. the way it will go his book may not be able to sell at all.

@@eddzcruz1149 no you’ve bought in too far into the “legend of MJ”. He was great but not like you think. He was human. I’m sorry if I ruined your “reality” but that’s just how it is. @@TonyPajamaz i know pippen was big help to MJ and i recognize him for that but with out mj pippen may never rise as one of the greatest player. pippen rookie year is just mediocre his average is only single digit. just like steve kerr said jordan pushes them to do better even in their practice jordan is so competative as he took their practice seriously. many fans didn't want to accept the fact that it was jordan who brought these player to rise up to the limit to their full capability. one more it was jordan leadership that carry the bulls to those championship. pippen was great player i truly respect him. but saying jordan will never win or will win less championship is not true. there are many great player out there but having a great leader is different. great talent can give us great games but great leader can bring championship. and also steve kerr always said every time they have game they have mentality of winning the match because they got Michael Jordan. that was the assurance that MJ can bring to his team.

To me that was him voicing how he views black ppl, because the attire was consistent with the culture-black culture. To say, “I think it’s time to start dressing more professional,” or something like that, would have been a better association.
Lastly, as for Shaq’s response(s) they were as a Man would respond, but he must remember that He surely garners a more revered view, because of who he is.
