Hi Dale. Why do you need a hybrid ceramic clay kit? Isn't the point of clay barring removing contaminants from the paint but doesn't it also remove polish and waxes?
It's a detailer spray. High lubricity to minimize scratching. Your polish should come off when you wipe it. I would assume they use Sio2 so that you don't inhibit the water behavior of the base layer of protection. Certain car washes with gloss enhancers change the water behavior of the underlying sealants.
The kit was produced to be more advanced claying system. The Synthetic clay will last longer than traditional clay, work just as well and if you drop it, you wont need to throw it away. Simply wash it under a tap. The only way we could make the clay work was with our highest lubricity detailer.
Would the HCW bond to another Si02 product? For example if I used auto finesse lavish snow foam could I then use this on top of it without having to do the initial step?
Yes, You can! Don't use the the hand wax just use the Ceramic Hybird wax. Then layer it. By re Appling it every two months. This stuff lasts. But I rinse my car and re apply every two months. Layers get it! Shawn

@@meguiarsuk do any of them leave any residue behind? I noticed CG Glosswerkz changed the beading properties in my car. I thought it was just the sealant failing. I washed the car with Dawn planning to go through the sealant application again, but found that after the wash the beading returned to normal. It made me think that perhaps I should be looking for a clean rinsing wash/shampoo.
Sorry to bother you again... I planned to use Swirl Remover after claying but I heard that it would contain silicons which would not let paint sealants, like the Ceramic Liquid Wax, stick to the paint. Is that correct?
Great question. The clay being our most advanced yet coupled with the detailer which is the highest lubricity we could make it means you don't run any risk of scratching paint.
Two points that have been killing me as a chemist seeing all this about ceramic wax, 1. It's SiO2 not Si02 2. Saying SiO2 sounds all fancy and all, but it's basically just sand... rant over

I still disagree on using a detailer spray to wipe off dust. You always rinse the car off first before you do any type of detailer treatment.
Exactly what I thought. You will bring the swirls back with only using detailer on a dirty car.

What if you get the liquid wax or the detailer spray on the windows windshield or on headlights, is that OK on glass/plastic ??

Rinse your car first before using detailer. That why I dont use waterless wash spray. Shawn

You absolutely can however you will get higher levels of gloss using the detailer.

@@bjornpahler108 The Ultimate Compound does contain silicones but it does not prevent the wax from bonding to the paint.

You try to minimize the damage by folding the clay, but personally I would only clay before polishing
It will always need polishing after claying, which would in turn remove the Si02 properties left by the clay lube.

Yes mate! I’ve had the liquid wax on for about 2 months, topping up with the detailer after every other wash. Ceramic properties still going strong
Any wax you apply will bond to existing protection to boost the longevity.
