You are giving me lots of inspiration for my best ever 2k. I need to be in throw up mode to know I've given it my all. But I'm only aiming for 8:15 lol...
Cameron Buchan so impressive, I’ve just started my training as a 45 year old, I’m working on my sub 8:00 2k, I’m at 8:10 right now. Thanks for the inspiration!
Seeing your hair flicker through the fan of the rower made my yamcave glisten with the light of a faraway galaxy Milky Way system exploding after 12 supernovas colliding with one another. Only that light could match your beauty cam and you’re amazing time on the erg. Good job. Bravo. Astral greetings. Fried chicken. Ergs hurt my names Burt.
Strong finish mate ! I think we all know that this middle 1k was a bit slow. What happened? Legs tired or was it “just” a mistake ? Anyway still your second best 2k your are getting stronger than ever !
Ooof that looked hard. Definitively a fantastic 2k. What about the last 5 strokes? Watch out, they can steal you up to half a second in the overall time.
That is seriously impressive! My heart rate shoots up to 160 instantly on hard pieces, often going to about ~195 bpm (3.5hz) by the 1500m mark; is your cardio just very developed or is the heart rate monitor not correct?
Just off of what my monitor said. Everyone has different heart rates so yours will be different from mine. Depending on what your max is 180 might be the relatively the same as mine or you’re going far too hard in the first 250m
I don't really understand why you start rating super high at around the 110m to go mark. Why not keep it at rate 41-43 until the last 20 meters? I know you were burning up but you did lose some time that i suspect you could sustain by keeping the strokes more efficient. Just a thought. Good job
Picking the rate up to maintain the low split. I wouldn't have been able to hold 22/23 at the lower rate. Saw that I could get in the 48s with a bigger split so went for it!
Like I talked about at worlds I got a bit over excited with the whole environment and ended up trying to spring from about 800 out rather than here was only last 200 or so! #yamsquad

Watching the livestream it looked like the middle 1000 felt horrific, respect for finishing strong.
It wasn't ideal! Thanks for tuning in! #yamsquad
Seriously impressive stuff mate congrats
Thanks Aidan #yamsquad
I was going to to do a 2k on Sunday. After seeing the pain I am sticking to zone 2 training for the next 6 months :)
Crazy low heart rate for a max out attack! Good work very impressed 👏
You just starting ripping the pants out of it a tad too early at the end !! I was egging you on for that 5.48...you know it's in the tank :-)
Just 20m more and would be there. Hopefully next one! #yamsquad

Definitely no mistake. I talk about it in the vlog #yamsquad
The hair is key Cam! Great work, congratulations.

I blew my doors off 😂

Is that heart rate data correct? I typically get to 180-190BPM within the first 250m of a 2k

I always kind negative splits give me the best results over ~1k
Heart rate 190 !!! So impressive keep it up
bros a whole ass minute faster than me.

He was emptying the tank
Where was that at the world's a few months ago? Awesome though 👍.

Looking on your last 500 I think you have the capacity for a stronger mid 1000
You can do it
Interesting you say that. I'd say the slower middle k meant I f could do that last 500. Room for improvement for sure! #yamsquad
What resistance setting are you on please?
130 for this workout! #yamsquad
close the microwave you mad man
I didn't realize until halfway through that this was in his kitchen
