Omg Exotics Lair! I'm so happy to see you. You've helped me overcome my arachnophobia. I am obsessed with the Brazilian Pink Bloom. My god are they gorgeous! If you do have one I'd really like to see them in a video. Stay safe and stay happy.
I'm so glad you addressed the parasite issue. I've been feeding crickets since forever, but my tarantula collection just kinda grew over the last two months and I've been really watching the crickets. Gut loading them and observing them for at least 24 hours and making sure I don't see horse hair worms or anything killing them off.
That tarantula in the thumbnail is gorgeous! She has the most beautiful contrasting colors, blue and yellowish orange, so awesome and she's so fuzzy! 😍
Hi, Kat, I just ordered from the Dubia roach dude and am super excited to get rid of these dang crickets. The super worms freak my guys out~ even my mature male, Itsy. He's this huge boy who runs when he sees super worms! Thanks for the video. As always, I love your tarantulas and I am up to 20 now. Take care and I hope you and your family are safe and your daughter is doing well hanging out at home.
Yay, dubias! Also, I think I'll download the video and cut the timespan between 7:13 and 7:18 just to remind Kat that she's also afraid of tarantulas attacking her even when she posts memes on the contrary.
This quarantine actually made me watch a lot of youtube videos which eventually lead me to tarantulas videos. Now I want to get one lol, I already have its enclosure and have researched, picked my spider a Mexican redknee:). Once this quaratine is over I'm getting it lol
Thank you for continuing to provide great videos during this..."situation". I appreciate the work you put into your videos and the information you provide for us all. Keep up the great work!
I exclusively use crickets because they're readily available and dubia's are illegal in Australia, plus my pet store where I get them the staff look after them, gutload etc.
I use Dubia almost exclusivly nowadays. You will have a much easier time when you crush their heads, which can be a bit unpleasent but it works well to prevent burrowing and playing dead. Red Runner are also ok but with those I am too afraid that they could infest my home if they escaped. And crickets are just nasty, wretched things 😄 Btw I really like your enclosures!
some Ts can be picky and deny roaches, my 2 really like them and thats good because they are so easy to keep alive, don´t jump around, don´t do a concert in the evening.
My son (30) and I play Nioh 2 together online after he is done working and eating supper and gets the 3 girls to bed. Love it! He helps this old man beat the baddies!
I have found my arboreal t is better with crickets cause they actually climb up to where she will get them if i just drop one or two in during feeding.
I know this is a stupid question but when you have tarantulas in the regular store bought tanks, idk how to explain it lol, fo you have to take the entire lid off or could you just open the little window? I want to get a tarantula but it stresses me out that I'd have to open the whole lid. I hope that makes sense lol
Woah those attempted paintbrush takedowns were sick! Wish I had a dubia dude near me 😏 Hey should we start a quarantine tag or something sweet like that to keep all our spider buddies connected during the next few months of isolation? What do you reckon would be cool to make sure everyone is alright you know. Do you know how mike is going in KC?
Here is my solution to the dubia roach issue with feeding tarantulas. I keep two colonies of roaches. A colony of Dubia roaches which I feed to my extremely hungry bearded dragon. The other colony is lobster roaches which I used to feed my tarantulas. Lobster roaches are very active and do not play dead so they attract the attention of the tarantula very quickly. But be forewarned that the lobster roaches can climb glass so you have to take precautions to keep them contained. The other issue with lobster roaches is they are extremely fast especially the males which have wings. They can flutter but they cannot fly. The care for the lobster roaches is essentially the same as dubia roaches. They are both live bearers and require heat to propagate. so do yourself a favor and a research Lobster roaches and how to care and keep them and they will make a great replacement for dubia roaches when feeding your tarantulas. I hope this is helpful to you and your followers.
My leopard gecko doesn’t like dubias ,I did. She’s been mealworm picky too lately. But she loves crickets again! Big time! I pull off the back legs and tong feed her.
I stopped using crickets cus I lost 1 T. from nematodes... then a second ALMOST- I CURED IT. It was in death curl and I saved it! And posted a video about it! Maybe u can lmk what u think happened..
2 comment kat your are so cool your videos are awesome I just got the new animal crossing game too and I love it keep up the great work Love your animals
I'm thinking about getting a tarantula, what would be your recommendation for a good first tarantula? What substrate do you recommend as well as size of aquarium/container?
Do your dubias not have holes for ventilation since it's such a big container? I want to move my roaches into a bigger steralite bin but currently dont have access to a tool to put ventilation in, so I'm just curious :)
Maybe because im new to the game so if this sounds dumb, forgive me. BUT HOW IS ANY KIND OF ROACH A CLEANER OPTION TO FEED UR ANIMALS? its a roach therefore disgusting right? I know thats not exactly the case cause allot of people use them but isnt a roach a scavenger like a catfish eats the crap off the river floor, a roach eats anything and everything? I dunno, can someone explain to me, please
I know this video was put out a pretty good amount of time ago buuuut.....is something wrong with dudes site?....I put an order in my cart but there no way to get to it to order and check out....🤔.....
Oh I miss feeing my tarantulas dubia roaches (I'm pretty sure they do to). I moved to Canada a while back and their illegal here so sadly it isn't an option for them anymore.
i just tried feeding my c. versi a dubia and it went on a leaf beneath her web tunnel. i can’t touch it without destroying part of the tunnel. THE ROACH HASNT MOVED IN 2 DAYS. i ended up feeding a wiggly mealworm and she snatched it up right away.
Good video! Leave it to A. geniculata to save the day! Mine's still about this size, and totally crazy! Thanks for the recommendation for Dubia Dude too. I needed to order more, so I gave him a go, just now, on your suggestion.
We’re in quarantine in England ad I still go to pet shop to get food as pet shops r aloud to b open or pets will die as ppl can not buy there pet food in bulk
Cool takedowns, but I wouldn't leave those dubias inside if tarantulas don't take them. They'll burrow and god only knows when they decide to emerge outside. Maybe low risk but still not worth taking.
Sorry, but I just say no to dubia roaches. This was clinched when I rehoused my Arizona Blonde. I found five or six dead dubias buried in the substrate. They don't always find them. I have a Turkistan colony, and so I avoid the issues of playing dead and burrowing. I do think roaches make the best feeders because they have a lot of meat on them. No quarantine for me! I'm a maintenance worker at Wal-Mart. I'm spraying disinfectant all over the place.
Me: She'll find this dubia eventually.
Me: *𝘳𝘦𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘺 𝘨𝘣𝘣 𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 2 𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘩𝘴
That's one huge roach!
Animal Crossing players be catching B. Hamorii
The best thing about quarantine is seeing cute animal crossing screenshots on twitter and also going back and watching all of your old videos
this is the sweetest ty
Technically all the Ts are in quarantine permanently.. soo......
Well yeah but pets can't get the virus tbh they proboly don't know what quarantine is
Exotics lair why you stop making feeding vid?
@@wendylumhod6697
There was one 2 weeks ago :o

Got that right lol

You had me at animal crossing. Seriously though, tell me that game didn't come out at the perfect time.
Who else absolutely loves her jump scares , your channel is so great :)
The dog is such a videobomber! So badassly cute!
That tarantula in the thumbnail is gorgeous! She has the most beautiful contrasting colors, blue and yellowish orange, so awesome and she's so fuzzy! 😍
Your jump-scare screams are ridiculously adorable lol. Mine sound like shrieks from a Cheesy horror movie.
8:23 "It's been a while! *drops a roach* What is this thing?"
I prefer feeding my arachnids with red runners because they are very active and they cant burrow
I’ve been playing Sonic Mania and Pokémon Ultra moon the last few weeks.
Since I’m in quarantine hunting shiny Eevees is a nice way to spend my time.
Thank u kat for entertaining us in this kind of situation.. Having tarantulas really help me a lot to enjoy staying at home..
Personally with dubias, if I know the T will eat I'll prekill since it'll still twitch and move a bit afterwards but no burrowing or playing dead! ^^

Fairly good start to a Saturday morning; a new feeding video from Kat👍.
I have a dubia colony and a red runner colony. I have thousands of both species. You might wanna try red runner cockroaches if you haven't already.
T. albo's are my best eaters. IDK they just seem hungrier than most
love your H. pulchripes! so bright!!
An option yes but they rather not decapitate it
Thank you for continuing to provide great videos during this..."situation". I appreciate the work you put into your videos and the information you provide for us all. Keep up the great work!
All I feed is dubias tbh, I have to feed so many more crickets compared to the amount of dubias I need to feed.
Everytime you scream, I jump over here thinking the tarantula is gonna crawl on me lol
You and your family be safe. 😀✌️👍👍
Your Intro Is Legit Awesome😂
Your blue drift beauty looks similar to GBB..very pretty!
I exclusively use crickets because they're readily available and dubia's are illegal in Australia, plus my pet store where I get them the staff look after them, gutload etc.
Try holding the dubia by it's behind and have it touch the substrate and that way it will start moving
I use Dubia almost exclusivly nowadays. You will have a much easier time when you crush their heads, which can be a bit unpleasent but it works well to prevent burrowing and playing dead. Nice video along with a couple jump scares, lol. Tyfs God bless you

6:51 same exact thing with my OBT...
My son (30) and I play Nioh 2 together online after he is done working and eating supper and gets the 3 girls to bed.
Love it! He helps this old man beat the baddies!
Nice video, Kat!
Stay safe kat!! Love ya!
you too :3
where does she get those containers with the teal lids?? very interested.
Good old dubia to the rescue
You have given me the bug I’ve gone from none to six in three weeks I’m addicted thank you ☺️
@10:15 your laugh sounds exactly from this song intro ZaeHD & CEO - cookie shop 👀🔥
Dubia are friends apparently, according to your tarantulas
Did anyone else see the Eevee with a mask in the background??? LOL
I have found my arboreal t is better with crickets cause they actually climb up to where she will get them if i just drop one or two in during feeding.
same

Hey kat, whats called what you use to hold phone? Cool video by the way. My T’s (and ants) get variety so, mealworms, superworms, crickets or dubias
Enjoyed the video very much :D
I love seeing your 8 leg friends. Thanks 😊
My first superworm ever I didn't crush the head well enough.. Tips for getting the little thing out of there....??! My T is a large Juvie Pulchra. X
Nice vid Kat

How about mouse spider you have any of those
That first wrote you fed was bigger than the spider. Is that common?
I tried feeding a dubia to my T once. She threw it and then ignored it lmao
What ever you do don't feed it crickets
What.she was thinking in that Moment 👀*GET TF AWAY WITH THAT !!DO U CALL THIS FOOD TTZZZT?!?!*

I love orange tarantula.
She is so beautiful
thank u :)
I’ve heard squashing the Dubai’s head a bit helps, a bit gruesome! But stops them playing dead 😬 I think it was Tom Moran who said about it 🤔
Which animal crossing is that? I have the phone version and never seen a spider
I stopped using crickets cus I lost 1 T. from nematodes... then a second ALMOST- I CURED IT. It was in death curl and I saved it! And posted a video about it! Maybe u can lmk what u think happened..
when feeding dubia you need to crush their head. it keeps them from escaping, and keeps them twitching so the t will eat it better.
I just found your channel and I want a tarantula now.
Review the tarantula enclosures in animal crossing?
love the content

I didn’t put any ventilation in but the lid doesn’t seal shut .. like if they could climb (they can’t) they could get out bc it doesn’t seal
Nice Video
I’ve got a question, are ,,Cyriocosmus Eleganz “ rare ?
not really

RabbitOfHeaven Harpactira
I prefer feeding my arachnids with red runners because they are very active.
me too, but I have to dump a few off the egg crate into an empty tub to catch 'em then trap one with the cup that comes with cough syrup
Nice feeding video kat
Animal crossing made me want a tarantula... no idea why getting chased by them got me interested 😂😂😂
I love animal crossing, I’ve been making so many tarantula islands 🥺
I've been trying really hard to do that! Only one has been successful.... otherwise, I get a ton of mole crickets
I know this video was put out a pretty good amount of time ago buuuut.....is something wrong with dudes site?....I put an order in my cart but there no way to get to it to order and check out....🤔.....

apparently feeding Ts is something that gives you really specials feelings xD
Feeding videos are very very gooood
Great feeding video
What a mood tho

Hi tarantula cat im your. Filipino subscriber.
i just tried feeding my c. versi a dubia and it went on a leaf beneath her web tunnel. i can’t touch it without destroying part of the tunnel.
THE ROACH HASNT MOVED IN 2 DAYS.
i ended up feeding a wiggly mealworm and she snatched it up right away.
the plus side of dubia is they won't hurt your tarantula, so it's safe to leave it be and hopefully it'll find it as a snacc later lol
Good video! Leave it to A. geniculata to save the day! Mine's still about this size, and totally crazy!
Thanks for the recommendation for Dubia Dude too. I needed to order more, so I gave him a go, just now, on your suggestion.

Omgggg my pet shop it's closed, im from Spain, now my G.Pulchripes is gonna die and it's my first one ;(
Lucky for me my t is only 1-2 months into not eating so probably another 2-3 months before it eats again because that's just how it is
We need more closeups, I couldn’t see most of the tarantulas feeding or takedowns. I really like your channel.
Yeah like I said kind of hard to film them which is why I usually don’t
How do you just pick the roaches up with tongs? Idk if it's just me but it's impossible for me to pick up dubias/crickets with those
skills yo d:
Dubias are great. But i am so allergic to them that i cannot have them in my house
I play that on my phone. Just started 2 days ago
You should try playing gravity fall remastered. It's such a fun and unique game.
AHH I NEED THAT NET
Cool takedowns, but I wouldn't leave those dubias inside if tarantulas don't take them. They'll burrow and god only knows when they decide to emerge outside. Maybe low risk but still not worth taking.
What is a SLING???????

@@tarantulakat Thanks!!!
I love you kat and the content. But does any one else think she handles the enclosures very aggressively?
i have pet dubya cockroaches theyre nice
