Watching a T snatch a moth out of the air would be a great thing. I know I haven't seen that happen in any other video. About the rain. Humans don't have much of a sense of smell, but we smell rain like we are bloodhounds. We smell rain better than anything else. Don't know how that benefits us, but we do. Can't wait for the moth video!
Hmmm I've never heard humans don't have a strong sense of smell. Compared to dogs, snakes, things like that I know we are no match. But didn't know how bad it was!
I always adore these horn worm feeding videos. I tend to watch your videos whilst I do the boring tasks in animal crossing like all the flower tending. Thanks for being amusing and chill in your videos! :)
I love the slow motion/grey frames and the commentary. Kat is hilarious 😂 I also really like that round enclosure! It’s cooler than the glass ones/rectangular ones. Super pretty
I love the sound of rain!!! I use to live in a house with a tin roof and if you've never been in a house with a tin roof I'm hear to tell you it's amazing. Makes me feel peaceful just remembering it, lol. It's raining here today but I can't even hear it 😣. I really want to get some of those gummy worms for my T's just to see their reaction. Great video Kat!!! Tyfs God bless you
@Ujuani Abelsen hey, we're going to have to stop meeting like this, lolol. How have you been?? Well I hope. Yes MariLynn makes great videos. I have to admit I talk to mine as well. They are the best at conversation 🤣. But if they start actually talking, I'm ghost😂
I spent over my budget to get different size hat boxes because you showed them and I fell in love with them. You are so totally cool. I wish I lived near you. Everyone here thinks I'm nuts because I have Ts
You'll need some host plants for them to eat and develop. I'd recommend to ask advice to Bart Coppens. He's a moth researcher and youtuber, he may be able to give you advice on caring for moths until their metamorphosis.
I love the rain ♥️ I wish it stayed the whole video lol Side note, what is it about hornworms that makes tarantulas so confused. Mine do the same thing
I've never touched one, but by the looks of it they are kinda squishy. Could that be it? That the Ts are just more used to prey with hard exoskeletons? 🤔🤷♀️
@@dorabrooks76 they are very squishy so that actually may be yeah! I had one T actually threat pose one for twenty minutes before deciding it was food lol
@@strangerspooders4711 Hilarious! 🤣 That must've been quite a sight. Silly fluff-ball! lol I know some Ts will take soft skinned vertebrate prey if the size is right and the opportunity arises, but from what I've read it's not very common. I wonder if a wild T would be more willing to take down a squishy hornworm without hesitation since they don't have regular feedings and need to take advantage of any prey they can get- or would they be bemused, too? I'm just thinking a wild T might be more used to a wider range of prey items. That's assuming that our hypothesis is correct that it _is_ the "squish factor" that confuses them... lol
I am sure it tates like raspberry flavored gummy bears :) I like the experiment because I would like to see how the moths look like. But I like moths, so I will be sorry if they are eaten... What is that for a cute white pillow on the sofa. Does it look like a cat or a ghost?
Can you make another jumping spider video because I just rehoused a baby jumping spider I found in our house and I want to see other peoples experience with them
Super funny my tarantulas do the same things sometimes they poke the horned and just stare at it like idk about this my O.aureotibialis likes to bite them and then come back and pulls it into its burrow like waiting for a door dash order lol
Damascus my tegu goes insane over blue hornworms he shakes his head and flings them in half o.O love these over super worms just like Dubia roaches are better than crickets^^
Hey Kat don't feel bad my E. Murinus is extremely picky. I have to literally dance the food in front of her hide for sometimes a minute or so before she'll grab it and I aware she only does this to get rid of me lol 😂
how often do you see your A ezendami I literally cant even remember the last time I saw mine it never comes out I try to coax it w/ a straw just so I can look at it and see its ok but no. i mean I know its ok bcus I put feeders and they disappear overnight and it threw a moult out a while ago but I would just like to see my spider every now and then. and Ive looked at pictures theyre rly pretty spoods too 😢
I have a question and I’ve looked around for the answer but I can’t find too much on it. I was wondering if a 3oz water dish is too deep for an adult tarantula that is about 5.5 in.?
Did these worms ever turn to moths? I tried doing the same thing once a few years ago and mine burrowed but then just got crusty and brown and never came out :/
I'll be getting some merch as soon as I can. And no, you're not too skinny. I was always underweight and got a lot of remarks like you have. Then at 43, I finally gained weight and it sucks.
Hello @tarantula kat, I have a Poecilotheria Metallica mature female but it seems one of her leg is slightly bend due to bad molt. Can she still molt and recover even though she's matured?
You have great collection & can tell u love all your pets! I saw a feeding video once & he tried a night feeding & they almost all ate. I know u have kids but maybe u could experiment with it just to see what they do. Either way, when they dont eat, that means another video for us.… Yay! I may have ran this by you already, if so forgive, I have a 3yr old relentlessly on a mission to take me down! My brain hardly functions anymore! Lol
Your E. murinus is so pretty but why are you keeping her in that way? They are obligate burrowers and require many inches damp substrate. I'd say that if you want to keep her in that enclosure, at least make sure lower layers of substrate are wet and that pot doesn't prevent her from burrowing...
The guy over at the dark den decided to try feeding his tarantulas at night just to der if they ate better and they all ate. He was really excited. Maybe oof you try that more of them will eat easier. Just trying to help
I love that round enclosure at the beggining, its original and nice :), i need to watch dny enclosure making, to make one lke that :D or even making other plexiglass ones, also im receiving 3 new tarantulas next week :D, one Pamphobeteus ( my first one of the genus) antious confirmed female :), one pokie ( my first one also :D) confirmed female P formosa :D and one Stichoplastoris ( rare spider hope to breed her) i've contacted the breeder so he could try to get me a male, because shes a confirmed female :) .
Don’t touch the gummy bears! They won’t grow into moths if you touch them. They also need lots of air to become moths and plenty of room. A chameleon setup works great for them
I’m actually really interested... since tarantulas are nearly blind, why are they so apprehensive to these worms? I actually don’t know if they can see color-if they can that def makes more sense.
Kat, you're beautiful, fun, creative, and sweet. I Love your channel and have for a while now. You're one of the reasons I started collecting Ts and got rid of my Arachniphobia. Thank you so much and Love and Hugs Sis. I'd love for you to be my lil' sister
Hello people - I’m looking to own a T but right now I’m living as an expat in China - would you happen to know any vendors that can ship internationally? I feel stupid for asking because I’m in Asia (where most of these things are located 😂) but it doesn’t seem to be a common hobby out here. Please let me know. Thanks everyone!
the sound of rain makes this video so peaceful
Made me tired
horn worm: *gets dropped in*
Tarantulas: Wtf are you back up
"It's a moult, don't cancel me."
hahaha XD
I was gonna comment the same thing but saw yours. I just about died with laughter when she said that
Lyrica Holland lmao same 😂😂😂
Gummy worm feeding and rain sounds is so.... relaxing, actually, hahah.
its storming like crazy here too.. Love the sound of rain, puts me to sleep 🙂

hi cattttt!!!! youre so prettyyyyyyy
I watch u feed yr spiders all the time. It's fun. It is. Cool. They all love u. So cool.
I love the sound of rain as well and it's a lovely background noise to have for videos :)
Yes the rain is awesome. Very much.
Rain is relaxing and great weather for a nap.
I ♥️LOVE♥️ the sound of rain!

You should do another rain feeding time ! I find this so relaxing and enjoyable to watch
Ngl, imma watch this to sleep. Tarantulas and rain, I’m not even mad
I have an obt as my 6th tarantula right and i just saw it webbing in such hilarious poses 😂
I love watching your feeding videos ❤️
can always count on kat to come through with the blue hornworm feeding video ^.^

Very Good work!!! i made a small paludarium yesterday.

It's so satisfying watching their fangs sink in to a worm.
Oh and here’s my cya comment - great video! Superb editing! Beautiful tats 😉
Good vid Kat. As always a pleasure to watch. Quick question, where did you get the large enclosure for the M. Robustum?
Ayyeee spood time!

Squiddiepop on Instagram. Hope that helps!
@@dorabrooks76 thank you!
@@prestigenoob6355 You're welcome. It's so cute, eh?! 😄 Cheers!
Enjoyed the video very much.
I love every video you make istg 🥰😍

Love you feeding videos
Its nice to see a feeding clip where the feeder isn’t constantly holding onto the prey item(petco ) 👍
Super funny my tarantulas do the same things sometimes they poke the horned and just stare at it like idk about this my O.aureotibialis likes to bite them and then come back and pulls it into its burrow like waiting for a door dash order lol
I bought a couple hornworms for aurora, my panther chameleon, as a treat and one of them got so big i can’t feed it off to anything. It’s too fat. : |
Love your videos. 🙏🏻♥️🕷 How many tarantulas do you have?
yayy worms again
Wow how can they refuse such yummy blueberry gummy bears? If I was a tarantula I would totally go for it🤪
I dont know whats worse. Being a human in 2020 or being that worm in a next life... 🤣😂
😬🤣🤣
Honestly I'm terrified of spiders but I find tarantulas so pretty. Would never be able to keep one though 😍

Once or twice a yr on a full moon at midnight 😝
😂
I didn't know they tasted like raspberries I might try one now
How do you care for these worms? What do they eat?
I knew that was the Texas brown tarantula at 6:00
I have one!
Is the enclosure the m robustum in a clear hat box or something? I love the look of it!
So, what happened with the hornworms that you put in the container?
in what minute is the blue one?
You should get a trap door spider
I have a question and I’ve looked around for the answer but I can’t find too much on it. I was wondering if a 3oz water dish is too deep for an adult tarantula that is about 5.5 in.?
Anti baby candy thanks so much!! Definitely noted!☺️
What’s the safest tip of tarantula

I would love a gift from you. That would be so AWESOME
Yes we need a moth video.
Was the worm squealing at the beginning?
Deathly afraid of spiders. Watching your videos makes me want a tarantula. Where do I start?
I love rain! If you get an egg sac, I'm in Kansas City! I'd come grab a baby!
I need to get a new batch of worms.
Where did you get the first round enclosure? I want one haha
the container store actually, a hat box
@@tarantulakat Which size did you get? How large is the T that uses it? Do you like this design over other square types?
How many times a week do you feed them ?

She actually has about 5 inches of substrate but always has stayed in her pot and never burrowed.

I only know U.S sellers but these are really good: FearNotTarantulas, micro wilderness, and Jaime’s Tarantulas.

Tell Big Papa and the Puffers I said Hellllur
Great video I just got my first tarantula. Her butt is a little smaller than usual but idk what the pet store has been doing.
Feed them at night time when they usually are out :-)
Hello pretty elf lady stay safe love your videos!!!
Did they turn into moths??)
You really look like steph from the game theory channel. Sorry if you hear this alot
Kinda temped to try a hornworm myself...
If u were to collab with anyone, who would it be?
They wont turn into moths. They are invasive species and they do a treatment to the horn worm that makes it unable to mature into epic green moths
get her to come out tease her out if a blade of grass
🌸Getting a addicted to your videos🌸 those gummy worms look so juicy 🌸
