Im 3 years late but thank you for the disclaimer at the beginning! I love watching people who have a bunch of pets, or a pet/livestock sanctuary but I always get nervous that people underestimate how hard and how much work it actually is to keep that many animals because they just see the cute videos. Not everyone has the time, money, attitude, or willingness to properly care for a ton of animals. Thank you for being a responsible pet owner!!
I had a terrible fear of spiders growing up...so like you, I started keeping some! Literally the day after my 21st bday I quit my college internship at Eli Lilly's & became a shot girl/bartender at a huge sports bar. One of the bouncers I met took me to my first reptile swap meet, I loved it! Not sure how I got talked into it, but I walked out with a Rosie I named Joplin who was an absolute sweetheart. She put up with me & completely changed the way I felt about spiders. Sorry, rambling, your videos just brought back SO many memories...I am 47 now so it was very uncommon for a young girl to keep tarantulas as pets back then.🤷 I ended up buying a 2nd rosie & (my entire real reason for writing) *a Martinique Tree Tarantula* at my next swap. I couldn't believe how small & perfect & beautiful this little spider was. I named her Church cause the guy said her temper was from hell - she was so small, I thought he must be full of it. Anyway, I have never seen another kept by anyone on here...She was teal & had purple hairs, almost florescent - much brighter than any other blue tarantula I have seen on YT. Do you know which type I am talking about & have you thought about keeping one? You seem to do well with 'slings' (I think that must be the term for baby tarantulas) - I had no experience & there wasn't YT or Google for help back then unfortunately. She tripled her size, but I lost her 1 particularly cold winter - I think her enclosure was too big & it got too cold for her. I still feel bad about it 😢. I never bought another 🕷️ after Church died, now I live vicariously through YT videos! {great videos, subbed!} Much love ~✌🏼💨💞

We get those tail-less scorpion spider things here in AZ and they freak me out because they are soooo big so they are intimidating. My dad always used to reassure me that they're harmless to us

I like the air purifier with the pet filter. I could use a new one for my ferret room. I enjoyed seeing your animal family. I have cats, ferrets snails (land and aquatic), snakes and an outdoor semi pet Copperhead snake who I have been feeding for a couple of years and 1 tarantula.
Kat where do you get those amazing acrylic enclosures? Everywhere I check they aren't secure enough for a tarantula. My luck I'll have them all over the house

Air purifier is a must! I don’t use this brand however we have birds and esp with birds you need an air purifier. I have one in each room of our house. I run them 24-7 as well and make sure to vacuum to filters once a week. Change filter as soon as the indicator tells you.
I love ur crested gecko. Hes so cute.and Beetlejuice is adorable as well. One of the spiders that lives in my house, yes i let certain web spiders live in my house lol ( my husband is not aware), his name is Ichabod. My dogs go outside a lot and I leave my door open when they do so bugs get in and my spiders catch the majority of them. My husband would die if he knew I intentionally let them stay but I find them useful and they earn their keep.
A brown recluse attacked me not my hand and it was bad. I got blood poisoning my hand blew up to the size of a football the morning of my surgery it was so painful I was yelling for someone to get me a scalpel and I would cut my hand open myself as they wheeled me to surgery. If I hadn’t gotten surgery then I would have died. The poison was spreading up my arm towards my heart. I had maybe 24 hrs left. One of the most painful things I had ever experienced and I have gone through a lot people. I wasn’t even messing with spider I had my hand on a cart and it Cain flying out from somewhere and bit me. So people should watch out. Brown recluse are very aggressive
Hi. I keep many corn snakes since years and dont get me wrong ya enclosures Look very nice but i d like to add that they loooove to climb. Can definetly recommend to offer some sticks/branches! (Sry 4 may mistakes, i'm not a mother tounge )

What would U recommend for substrate for my crested gecko as he has this reptile green mat ad I am struggling to clean it I have Tried everything ad it still looks like I not clean led it properly
Seconding eco earth or coconut fiber I use them in my ball python enclosure and never had problems with mold or low humidity, is easy to spot clean and doesn't smell too earthly as potting soil does I add orchid bark for some visual and tactile interest I saw people use tiles for beardie and fat tail gecko and, while they are easy to clean, I'm not a fan of the aesthetic
I would recommend checking out Snake Discovery and Clint's Reptiles - they're both reptile channels with tons of educational content that seems like it could be really helpful to you. Clint has done videos about crested geckos that include all the setup stuff you're asking about.
Well, now I feel better about having 15 tarantulas 😂 Although, the only reason I'd feel bad about that is how quickly I got them. Just a couple of months ago, I was still terrified of tarantulas. I could never see myself owning one, nor could I understand why other people did. But then my friend got one, and I got mad jealous for some reason. Next thing I know, I have 15 slings, 2 jumping spiders, and a mantis 😅 The fear and apprehension I once had has diminished with each of my tarantulas' molts. It's almost entirely gone now, so I'm really glad I got them.

i love birds and mammals but i am a busy college student. for now, im sticking to reptiles, amphibians, and arachnids. i have 2 frogs, 2 snakes, and 7 tarantulas :) my dream pet is to get a lineolated parakeet, cockatiel, or green-cheeked conure
I’ve only gone out of town a handful of times having all the pets but my sister lets my dogs out and mists the Crested gecko and the spiders/rest of the reptiles all do ok for a few days with nothing as long as I leave them with food and full water dishes. But yes it absolutely limits me being able to travel
I have 5 dogs 8 goats 4 cats 3 ferrets 1 turtle 1 fish 18 chickens 7 cows and a spider that build a web above my front door (I named him Reginald) I also love on 30+ acres and they roam freely consistently
I have 30+ animals so when people tell me i have to many i just laugh i know people who i have way more. I have 1 ball python, kenian sandboa, cornsnake and western hognose. A crested gekko and two cats. Also 25 tarantulas :) I started this year with keeping reptiles and tarantulas. The reptile keeping its been a dream of mine for years and tarantula keeping started with trying to work on my phobia for spiders and it kinda got out of controle lol. I want way more animals then i have now so this is just the start :)
