My friend - a scrupulously honest window-cleaner who maintains his family on minimum wage - learned his daughter had cystic fibrosis. Major British football teams donated signed shirts and footballs to be raffled to raise the $180,000 required for the young lady's operation. Our local community also donated generously. The surgery went ahead and all concerned felt deep pride in having helped raise the requisite cost. My friend couldn't possibly have raised this astronomical sum without the generous help of benefactors. Please don't allow one isolated example of sickening fraud and dishonesty to dissuade you from donating generously to worthy causes. You will feel elating pride in having helped to save someone's life. That is not, of course, to say you shouldn't carry out due diligence.
My cousin did this. She told us she had cancer of the spine. She didn't actually ask anyone for money, though many of us lavished gifts and treats on her. For her I think it was more about seeking attention. Having us all run around after her and the loving gestures we made. She needed them in some very essential way. But I'll never forget the slow dawning realisation that she was lying to us. It was was devastating. We had mourned so genuinely the thought of losing her at such a young age. I do forgive her and mostly just feel very sad that she was so desperate to feel loved she sank to such depths. However many of the family have never been able to move past it and it has changed the nature of her relationship with all of us. I often think how awful it will be if she ever does contract a serious disease - because no one will believe her.
My brother did the same to me. He told me when he was 20 that he had stage 4 lung cancer. I was convinced it was terminal. I grieved for him. Then it all came out that he made it up for attention. I was absolutely heartbroken all over again. I have also forgiven him and we are close again. But I'd be wary next time he gets some sort of serious diagnosis.
What's the worst about this is someone else who does have cancer that needs help financially the people who donated will think twice about it and that's just so sad!!!
Like the current government, he just keeps getting found out ! But with some help he could succeed next time. Con man BJo has done very well up to now perhaps he could coach Mr. Bint on how to do it !!
As a 10 year cancer survivor, this story makes me sick. My children were 4 and 9 when I was diagnosed. I waited 1 month to tell my mother as I simply wasn’t strong enough to pick up the phone to tell her at first. Cancer is a destructive disease that has impacted many people and their loved ones. This man is disgusting. Absolutely disgusting!

Happy that you are doing well 😊 I have loved ones who have died of Cancer, including my Mom. This guy was smacking Karma in the face. What a selfish Narcissist!!! Stay well 😊💗
The story really makes you want to throw up. It's that deplorable. The fact the victims don't get their money, their life savings, because of his lavish lifestyle and cancer scam, is beyond ridiculous.
My family has lost so many members through cancer. And it sickness me . I had a freind of my partner claim that he had cancer can remember him claiming that he,d just come from finding out at hospital to ours cus welive next to hospital and him sobbing on my arms . I let him move into my house for a year and a half for free as long as he paid utititys. A year and a half later and many warning signs he was lying I receive house key through the post and not even a thank you note . Turned out it was all bullshit he never put electric or gas on once in all this time meaning I am having to clear debuts of nearly £2000 standing charge and council tax that he also didn't pay for that period. He even got a well paid job towards the end. He even gave my cooker to next door neighbour for free. All those wasted nights that I sat there holding his hand and crying with him thinking he was dying. Running round after him cus "don't get up mate you rest you ve got to better" drove my relationship to brink cus he was my fellas mate I had only met him once before that . I wouldn't usually put anybody up but how can you throw a man in his late 50s onto the street with cancer treatments to complete in the middle of winter is what I thought even when I had warning signs he's since done it to another 2 people in our local area. Made me even more distrusting of people than I allready was. He knew I had watched my nanna die like that. He's still lying about it to this day 5 years later . And think he will until the day he dies

My oldest brother lied about having cancer, had so many twitches and glitches through his kid years. Ended up a drug user, and took advantage of so many people. He’s a bad liar but when family says they have cancer and need treatment family and others provide unknowingly.
As most of the females in my family suffer from cancer, some live and lots have died, I find this person appalling and it has to be one of the worst lies someone can speak 😢😢

Most people get cancer. Or sepsis. Or heart failure. Or a stroke. It’s sad but it’s perfectly normal to get sick sooner or later. Everybody dies of something or other. There’s nothing special about cancer.
I have a lot of medical problems that I hide out of embarrassment and shame. It's sad people are this comfortable fabricating such serious illnesses that people die from, just for a few bucks. 🙁
Me too mate, I doubt anyone can fake the medical condition My Family and I have (marfan's syndrome) it's very evident. My Brother was approached at a wedding last week and asked by this horrible woman "what's wrong with You, You don't look normal" he was mortified and I want to hunt her down and throttle her!
The part when the women explained having to tell your mom about you having cancer got me... I always tell people, finding out that I had cancer was tough, but telling my mom was the hardest part! Especially at 25 years old. So for someone to tell a lie like that is just unimaginable!
Telling my mom and children that I had cancer was the hardest I ever had to do. People like him are despicable and don't care the pain and misery they cause.

My children were so shocked and couldn't believe it and my best friend cried her heart out. That is why it makes me so angry when people like this specimen make a mockery of this illness because they have absolutely no idea how devastating it is not only to the person who has it, but family and friends too. Glenn went on to be released, met his next victim, Gareth, by starting a relationship with him and then conning his Gareth’s parents out of thousands. Glen eventually bludgeoned Gareth to death on a hotel room. He’s repugnant 🤮
My Mum has terminal cancer and my Nan has sadly passed away from pancreatic cancer what makes me angry is that anyone like my family members who have cancer who need legitimate financial help when they ask for the help anyone who has donated or charities will be more wary and less inclined to help which I find its just a hit to the system
Imagine the empty shell of a person like him... He is such a nobody that he can't even have a stable relationship with someone else because there is no one there.
THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I THOUGHT, 10 YRS MINIMUM! HE DIDN'T EVEN DO THE STANDARD ⅔, HE WAS OUT IN 2 SO HE MUST'VE GOTTEN HIS PAROLE, WHICH IN ITSELF IS JUST ANOTHER JOKE. HE DEFINITELY PULLED THE WOOL OVER THE PAROLE BOARDS EYES. YOU WOULD THINK THEY'D KNOW BETTER CONSIDERING HIS 25 CONVICTIONS. IN MY OPINION, THE JUSTICE SYSTEM SHOULD START MAKING THEM SERVE THE WHOLE TERM IF THEY HAVE A SENTENCE OF 5 YRS OR LESS. ESPECIALLY FOR CERTAIN CRIMES WHERE THE FINANCIAL BURDEN REACHES A CERTAIN AMOUNT & HIS DEFINITELY DID!
Never mind, he killed his boyfriend and in 2009 got a 25 year full life term. Meaning he will serve the full 25 years before he can even apply for parole in 2034. With no guarantee that he will get it
As Judge Judy always says: you don't need good memory if you tell the truth!! Totally believe that. That is why all these conmen do such extensive research, they need to sound like they know what they are talking about and to keep it all straight in their warped minds!!
My uncle died a few years ago from having a brain tumour. It disgusts me that people like this individual lied about that he had it and that people easily did fall for it. Its horrible as there are people dying each day from a cancer of some sort and to lie about it is worse than the actual disease. I am so glad they caught up to his lying. My mom always said .. "You can lock up from a thief but not from a liar!" She was so right and very wise. What would he do if he did get cancer? No one would help him as they were the victims of his lies and so may not believe him or feel sorry for him for reals.
You know what's going to happen to individuals who pull this fraudulent "cancer" card! Check back with them in a few years and I'm sure karma may make sure it happens.

I had skin cancer (melanoma) back in 2007. I was very, very lucky and it was caught early. But I’ll never forget the shock and fear I felt when told. It was horrific for me and my family not knowing what the future held. Also, my father passed away in 1980 from cancer. It was a dreadful time for us. I wouldn’t wish either of these scenarios on my worst enemy. This creature is utterly despicable and vile. I hope he’s suffering in prison.

I had a relative fake cancer twice. She didn’t ask or get any money that I know of - they did it for attention. I found that out as I would ask very simple questions about basic treatment and she would give these made up answers - I don’t even think she knew what chemo was. She said she got surgery and it went away. I noticed that she was partying like 2 days after her surgery, moving with no pain - drinking and smoking. I don’t talk to her anymore, my mom supported her and I don’t really talk to my mom anymore because of this silliness.

doctorkazoo ... well NOT being a cancer victim and not having chemo - his hair will grow back...that's why we see him constantly shaving it off !!! ha ha ha ha
Unreal!!! I can't believe some people, I live in a small town where a woman here pretended to have breast cancer but she said her doctor wanted to wait until she got home from a two month vacation from Newfoundland to Nova Scotia. I knew she was lying because no doctor would want the cancer to spread! Needless to say she never got a cent out of me and it just disgusted me! I myself had cervical cancer cells and had to have them lasered off two days later after finding out! I never told anyone about that though because it's a private issue and I didn't want attention. This man is sick in the head and terrible!
I have the utmost contempt for this man and think he is lower than an earthworm, because I used to have cancer. I don't say cancer is in remission because that implies the cancer is just lurking around waiting to pounce again, so I say I USED to have cancer. That was about 8 years ago but I remember all too well how scared I was when my doctor called me and told me the test he had given me was positive for cancer. I had breast cancer and I suffered through surgery where they removed part of my breast and hopefully ALL of the cancer and then I spent months going thru Chemo and then Radiation Therapy. I believe the cancer is behind me now but I still have the nasty scar where the cancer was removed and I still have bald spots where my hair will never grow back after I lost most of it to Chemo. I also live in constant fear that the cancer will come back. I think you will understand then when I say I hold this guy in nothing but contempt for pretending to have cancer. I also have a great deal of empathy for those who were swindled out of their life savings by this conman. But if someone tells you that you will make a 20% profit in 12 months surely you would know that this is absolutely too good to be true. Shysters from India or Africa make a living out of conning Americans and Canadians and Australians because they think people from those countries are easy pickings and I guess we are. When someone tells me that I have inherited 10 million dollars and all I have to do is send them a "fee" of $10,000 and then they can release the 10 million to me, I KNOW that is a scam and it seems everyone should realize that is a scam. I tell them to just deduct the $10,000 fee from the 10 million and send the other $9,990,000 to me but for some reason they can't do that and they usually hang up on me about then. I guess I'm trying to say, as gently as possible, if someone offers you an outrageous "deal" where you are going to "get rich quick" with just this one deal, do not allow your greed to overcome your common sense. That's the end of my rant.
Exactly. Common sense isn’t so common, and if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. Don’t cut corners and shirk hard work just to let your greed outdo your rational thinking
All I can say to those who fall or have fallen as a victim of a con/scam, they shouldn't feel ashamed or embarrassed for believing good about people and wanting to help. Those are beautiful features when it's real victims or people with illnesses etc.that need help. Just be more careful but don't beat yourself up for it. I know there are some who think if a person falls to scam, they deserve the consequences for being foolish. I disagree because no one is safe from scam, not even those who know a lot about the subject. I know a lot but in certain circumstances someone could fool me. It is not the typical ones but a bit more complex and time consuming one but I know I could fall, so I try to keep updated about those types of scams and be very careful who I share my creations with. What one doesn't know, one can't know before finding out. And even if one knows a lot, one can fool oneself if one is in a vulnerable place in life and has a need for fantasy about something better. Then it is easier to put the blinders on. But the shame for those actions is only and only of the scammer's/con person's. They are the ones doing wrong. I hope this guy learned his lesson, but if he is a psychopath, I highly doubt he learned for any other reason than doing a "better" scam next time. And I am very disgusted for him using brain tumor because my aunt died because of it after several operations, which of each took a piece of her brain functions like speech and memory. It was very disheartening to see her slowly vanish until eventually she had to stay in a hospital bed and the doctors decided that another operation would not help but just make it worse so they decided to let her have her last days just heavily medicated and as comfortable as possible. She was a Christmas person, she was like a sun during Christmas time always smiling and her sense of humor was just cracking me up. So she died a day before Christmas eve, my cousin said that as a Christmas person she didn't want to have a hospital Christmas and so she left (this is an example of the family humor, my cousin is a lot like my aunt was.). But yes I know how difficult it is to hear a close person is going to die, you feel helpless and want so badly to help that do almost anything if it would help. Then hearing the person has been stomping on top of your good will this way taking advantage of you, it is disgusting.
ElinaZariel This is the most beautiful, wonderful, kindhearted and lovely comments I had ever read. Please accept my sincerest and deepest condolences for the loss of your beloved aunt. My mom passed away from aggressive breast cancer at the tender age of 47. Her 2 daughters, my younger sister and myself, surpassed that age, and I have survivors guilt. Thank you for what you had said regarding people that fall for scams. My husband and myself took in an 84 year old vet, and he was getting scam calls, at least, 12 - 14 times a day.. until he allowed me to answer the calls. There was one, last week -- in fact, that was for Nicor ( a gas company in the state of Illinois), and the person used the name Brian Wilson. I don't know if you listened to the 60s, but there's a band The Beach Boys, and one of the member's name is Brian Wilson, who along with his brothers, Carl and Dennis, started the band. So, I pretended to have an English accent, and I said," OMG! Are you the same Brian Wilson from The Beach Boys? I can't believe that I'm talking to you, and I've been a huge..." That's when he hung up on me. This man laughed so hard that his face was turning red. About 10 minutes later, he had received another scam call, but, this time, it was for car insurance from a company that I never heard of. So, I allowed the person, who said that their name was Peter Parker, to say their script, and I said to this scammer ( each of these callers had a heavy Indian accent )," Oh, son, when are you and Mary Jane coming over to talk about marriage?" This scammer replied that he was going to come over soon, but he had to work. He kept on about this car insurance scam, so, as I was talking to him, I was talking in a high pitched shrill voice with a southern accent, and I said this," Oh, Peter, you know I haven't driven since 1972." A second later, he hung up on me. Again, I had this man laughing hysterically at the voice I was doing, and how I messed with the scammer. I mistaken thought that no more calls would be made to this man's phone, but one more happened, and it was from "social security administration." Again, an Indian accent but had an Americanized name. As they were saying that his social security number had been compromised, and I began my own "script," and I was fake crying, and saying that there was no possible way that it could be my father's number, because he didn't exist, and I was an orphan. I asked this scammer to send a letter to prove that this had occured, then I began talking, again, in a high pitched shrill voice that I had 12 kids, no child support, and saying that I need money, and since they found over $25K in cash, it was my property, because this mysterious vehicle was in my father's name, which made it his property, and as for the drugs, I could sell it back to the DEA for a mark-up price. As soon as I finished saying that, he hung up on me. So, this man had gone from getting 12 - 14 calls a day to 0 calls.
Yes, I always want to believe people until they give me a reason not to. It’s people like this who ruin it for everyone else. It’s sad and infuriating we have to worry about things like this.
I know two women who made up bogus cancer stories - both for attention - and it’s still mind-blowing that anyone would do it, let alone that it’s struck multiple people (Rycroft, Belle Gibson in Australia, these two morons I knew, and surely plenty of others) as a fabulous idea. (In the cases of the two fake cancer patients I knew, one lost her government job, and the other was my employee. I wrote her off the schedule without ever telling her or others I had cancer at the time because - get this - I didn’t want pity or attention.)
Seems like you've got the opposite problem...suffering in silence. If ever there is a good time to seek extra attention and care, its when you have a serious illness.
Sadly, I've known several people who claimed to have cancer, just for attention. I think it should be a jail offence because those who do have cancer suffer because of these creeps and fraudsters.
My Mother died from cancer just before Christmas 2022. 😢Watching her pass away over a period of 2 days was devastating. It’s beyond me why someone would claim to be fighting cancer just to get money and attention 😡 I hope karma pays him back in the years to come!!
Can you explain more I know someone who may be faking it They literally smoke after their surgery… wtf! Also after chemo up and running and apparently the steroids make them hyper active and moody they can’t sleep on them I dno
This is horrible! He deserves KARMA at its fullest! There’s people who die each day cause of that! Families suffer children suffer and for someone to pretend is just terrible breaks my heart. Lots of 🖤 to those who have suffered great Lost
Red flag: Hospitals typically ask that you have someone drive you home after most stays or procedure, in case you are fatigued, have lingering medication side effects, and don’t want the liability if you have an accident, and usually staff escort the person outside for pick-up. Plus, hospital discharge often doesn’t mean that the person is “all better,” just that they don’t need 24/7 hospital level care at the moment. It is not impossible, but very odd to never need anyone to pick you up at the hospital and to always drive yourself or Uber wile receiving cancer care, or if the person asks to be picked up and is just waiting alone out front.
Having lost 2 family members to cancer and having another fighting this dreaded disease now, it angers me no end that people will use this disease to con others. It’s disgusting and sickening that people like him exist. The effects of cancer last long after someone dies or recovers from it, financially and psychologically you never recover.
I have lost two close family members to cancer, and another survived stage 4 breast cancer. Also, another close family member is currently battling esophageal cancer. I would have been more than happy to show these Arses for what they are. I would be happy to humiliate this man in front of the community he scammed. A return of 30% doesn’t happen, believing like that is like believing in fairy tales. I would have told him to set up a go fund me account. Why did he have a professor, not a M..D. Sign the letter? That seems like a mistake. Never trust anyone that needs $ right away. Something is wrong when someone cons people out of $300,000 and only gets sentenced to 4 years. That’s ridiculous! And to make matters worse, he only s we served 2 years!! That’s nothing!!
So not one of his friends that went on the trips with him went to the “hospital” with him because I would’ve gone with him to these hospitals…. I mean if one of my friends is in the hospital for any reason surgery or other I always visit them or stay with them.
You'd go even if they insisted they wanted to go alone and would meet you later? Some people are super private and I'd never take someone again who insisted on going into the hospital when I asked them specifically to let me handle it alone. While its disgusting this guy ended up abusing trust by faking cancer and his ponzi scheme, the investments were driven by greed. A 23% return on investment is ridiculous, a huge red flag of a con and the first sign that you should run but this was out and out greed on the part of "investors".
Rich people do it all the time and aren't considered greedy. Only the poor and less educated get these lectures. The reality is, they thought they found the "in" on a good business deal that in reality happens all the time for the wealthy who are actually the ones hoarding money and displaying greed in every financial decision. 23% is a lot, but if you're unaware of how large this is or what a risk investments are in general, it's easy to see how they got sucked in by a trusted and seemingly successful friend.
@@TahtahmesDiary I am by no means "rich" or even "highly educated" and I know that a 23% ROI is ridiculous and a scam, as do most average people. It has nothing to do with whether you are rich or poor, uneducated or highly educated, as shown by the "victims" of Bernie Madoff (generally well off and educated, (who I have little sympathy for either) but as I stated it is about greed, they think they see a way to make big, fast money and instead of putting it in a high interest savings account all they see are fast $$$$$. If the poor and uneducated as you claim know so little about investing, what are they doing investing money they can't affort to lose?, simply greed. There are tons of safe, lower yielding investments out there if you have no idea what you are doing. And just for the many, many average people investing who you seem to think are poor and uneducated and may not be aware.....there is no Nigerian Prince wanting to send you money either.
This isn't that uncommon for people to do. People mostly do it for sympathy and attention rather than money though. The most terrible cases I've seen are where people pretend their children have cancer.
I guess I am lucky that I am so poor that no one tries to con me into investing. Even if I actually got cancer, I wouldn't tell my people. Why upset them. Just spend time with them, love them and leave them with those great memories. If I had invested a lot of money, and he came up to me saying he was dying on cancer. I absolutely would say. "That really sucks, please give me my investment back now, before you die". I don't trust many people anyway, but especially if you meet someone very smooth and charming that you instantly like when you meet them. Those are serious red flags and makes me very cautious.
I can't believe there have been people faking cancer as far back 2001. 2018 was when I first heard about people faking cancer but it's been going on a lot longer than that, in any case lying about having cancer is a really disgusting thing to do.
YT Algo has a sense of humour! @8:15 An Ad started playing when I wasn't watching, all I heard was 🔊🎶The Decepticons, Transformers robots in disguise🎶...I actually thought it was part of the video & was poking fun at the guy! Decept-icons 🤣
What a POS!! All those he took money from should file a class action suit!! They will probably never get their money back but it's one more black mark against him for any future scams he may pull.
I’d be too scared that it would be tempting fate
My brother did the same to me. He told me when he was 20 that he had stage 4 lung cancer. I was convinced it was terminal. I grieved for him. Then it all came out that he made it up for attention. I was absolutely heartbroken all over again.
I have also forgiven him and we are close again. But I'd be wary next time he gets some sort of serious diagnosis.
Thank you for having the gift of forgiveness
Both Serendipity and Suidelikeson
It's called Munchausen Syndrome.
What's the worst about this is someone else who does have cancer that needs help financially the people who donated will think twice about it and that's just so sad!!!
Excellent point.

As a 10 year cancer survivor, this story makes me sick. My children were 4 and 9 when I was diagnosed. I waited 1 month to tell my mother as I simply wasn’t strong enough to pick up the phone to tell her at first.

Best of luck.
Happy that you are doing well 😊 I have loved ones who have died of Cancer, including my Mom. This guy was smacking Karma in the face. What a selfish Narcissist!!!

If he had so much money wouldn't he fix his teeth
I hope you have a long good life
Exactly. Common sense isn’t so common, and if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. Don’t cut corners and shirk hard work just to let your greed outdo your rational thinking
Yes. When I heard 20%, I pretty much knew it was a scam. That’s pretty unheard of.
Well they already knew him and trusted him so it is a bit different.
Should've used some of the money to fix his teeth!
lord... how could he not... there terribly nasty..
Lol!
Okayyy lol
Shaved his head but still had those evil eyebrows. Why didn't anyone notice that?
He likes them LMAO
The guy with the red shirt undone nearly to his naval, is a bit creepy
HI TRUDY,
I JUST WANTED TO SAY I HOPE YR WELL. 🙂
@@cheryl5994 Thank you for your sweet wishes. Still standing after two bouts of the real c-word!
That one guy looks like daniel graig lol :D
Using your family/friends to start a MLM business is not much diffrent 😂😂
Omg! True!!! 😂😂😂
Forgive me but I can't stop laughing. I would have given him money to fix those teeth.
who's to say he wouldn't have used it to buy something luxury?
@@JReed1985 I would pay the dentist, not him, lol
@@cantfindmykeys good idea, if you gave him money he would run off with it and spend it on luxuries.
As a cancer patient, red flag cure for cancer. No such thing ... we live by treatments
Can you explain more
I know someone who may be faking it
They literally smoke after their surgery… wtf! Also after chemo up and running and apparently the steroids make them hyper active and moody they can’t sleep on them
I dno
I hope he at least used some of that money to get those corn chompers fixed. What a D bag
Corn chompers 😂
How would he give his boyfriend a BJ with those nashers there’d be nothing left of it. 😬😆😆
😂😂😂😂😂
This is horrible! He deserves KARMA at its fullest! There’s people who die each day cause of that! Families suffer children suffer and for someone to pretend is just terrible breaks my heart. Lots of 🖤 to those who have suffered great Lost
he committed murder and now in prison I guess
I just can't believe that he fooled all those people. He was one of them, and knew that they were gullible.
So many red flags that family and friends ignored. Most doctors I know require someone to drive you to and from appointments like that.
that man has got the most bluest of blue eyes I have ever seen in my entire life.
Go to Ireland!
@@missolesoul ok!
Friends or not...would be farbetter to seek legal advice before parting with your life savings.
What a horrible rotten person.x
Having lost 2 family members to cancer and having another fighting this dreaded disease now, it angers me no end that people will use this disease to con others. It’s disgusting and sickening that people like him exist. The effects of cancer last long after someone dies or recovers from it, financially and psychologically you never recover.
Something which I found very odd is nobody of his inmediate relatives, family, parents, didn't realise that something was wrong with this guy.
And went on to murder someone!
💜💜💜💜
He looks shifty with beady eyes . Wouldn’t lend it a penny
I've only one time had a friend come with me and it was because she was a professional in a related way to what I was going to the Dr for.
@@TahtahmesDiary If they only have a little bit to live than every time with him is special regardless of the situation so yes I would go I wouldn’t be one of those friends that would let someone do anything by themselves private or not and that’s how they got swindled because nobody had the brains to think maybe somethings wrong.
@@slytherinsky I’m with you. I’d never let my friend go through this alone.
You wouldnt have much choice if they spelt it out to you in big bold letters that they dont want you there however well meaning - sometimes being a good friend is about respecting someones wishes - and dont bother telling me you would still have gone i dont want to hear it Mother Teresa
@@williamf4544 You really have no idea who mother Theresa really is to you?
People definitely have choices and you obviously would’ve been duped big time.
This mug needs 40 years in jail
I would hardly believe his friends that were free loading off him, when they said they felt betrayed. That is an insult to the people who contributed and were really betrayed.
Yeah… I wonder about that too. How could they jet around with him to all these fancy places and not know something was wrong? I’m pretty certain that some of them must have known or suspected. They didn’t say anything because they were enjoying the ‘gravy train’ too much.
@@PhoenixFires9 So true. Rycroft was a British Airways Steward. Not exactly top level employment. Why did nobody question why an air steward would have access to BA investment accounts. That is just inconceivable. His friends didn't want to be interviewed for this documentary. I wonder why????
23% interest and they believed him? Those are better rates than what Bernie Madoff offered! Why didn't anyone do their Due Diligence?
23% return, greed is why they lost their money.
The cancer thing was bit dodgy what kind of family didn't ever go to any hospital appointments. When I had cancer my family went with me.
Genetically, I am prone to cancers; so far I have four types of cancer ravaging my body. I live one day at a time, even my doctors are afraid for me. I am still working despite my disability; this man is playing with fire. He is healthy, he should live his life rather than conning good people.
Hope u are ok
💜💜💜
Having Stage 3 Ovarian Cancer I never looked like I had cancer until I did chemo. When I went to doc and told him I had cancer he laughed as my blood work get came as excellent and I looked like a picture of health. This dude must have better friends than I as most could care less that I have a terminal illness which is quite disheartening. AND, that's what is so disgusting about this monster, he didn't cherish his good friends and took advantage of them. People fall for the money and the charm.

So it's greed that got these people.... do not give money to anybody, lesson no.1
Why won't the bloke in the red shirt COUGH!!!
For all you knew he could had been ill! It very sadly turned out that he passed away in 2016
While its disgusting this guy ended up abusing trust by faking cancer and his ponzi scheme, the investments were driven by greed.
Why don't these investigators go after government agencies conning whole countries?
Aww Sheila! What are you asking for? What countries?
Karma never loses an address.
This isn't that uncommon for people to do. People mostly do it for sympathy and attention rather than money though. The most terrible cases I've seen are where people pretend their children have cancer.

all the money 💰 yet never got his teeth done 🤔
I guess I am lucky that I am so poor that no one tries to con me into investing.
Even if I actually got cancer, I wouldn't tell my people. Why upset them. Just spend time with them, love them and leave them with those great memories.
If I had invested a lot of money, and he came up to me saying he was dying on cancer. I absolutely would say. "That really sucks, please give me my investment back now, before you die".
I don't trust many people anyway, but especially if you meet someone very smooth and charming that you instantly like when you meet them. Those are serious red flags and makes me very cautious.
I can't believe there have been people faking cancer as far back 2001. 2018 was when I first heard about people faking cancer
but it's been going on a lot longer than that, in any case lying about having cancer is a really disgusting thing to do.
