I work in healthcare and everywhere I have ever worked, I had a background check and I had to have my fingerprint record done as part of getting licensure..... I don't get how these guys don't get caught if the hospital does background checks like they should.
Even as a conman he's a failure, he gets caught every time just after weeks, his 'cons' are just used to steal credit cards and some cash... that's rather pathetic
Ya wonder if someone is a narcissist? Tell then they are wrong!! Watch their response. They may not outwardly show anger, but, they will be defensive and set on proving they're right, they overtalk and can't stand being held accountable.
Not at all!!! Whilst caring for my poor husband in hospital, I had to wear an apron and this immediately had granted me access to every ward and every room! No one had asked any questions!
Sadly not. Identity theft is very easy to do because so much is done online. Banks, Healthcare, Taxes and so on. I believe in the USA it's worse. Makes me sick.
There is nothing "petty" about posing as a doctor and carrying out procedures. Anyone who was unwittingly treated by this conman probably feels violated to this day.
Okay, I can understand lying to women saying'' hey I'm a doctor'' but I cannot be on board with him actually going into hospitals and pretending to be one. That was so reckless, dangerous and outright disgusting.
This is so thorough, how they explain why he does what he does. Great content. Wish they had more like this, with all the expert opinions and contributions.
It's SO crazy because my ex-husband was JUST like this!! He is a habitual liar who will take on a persona that even HE believed because he lied and scammed so much. My ex has an identical twin and he uses his credentials. I after we were divorced I found out about secret scam companies that he had created. Its sad...but he is the same way to this day! Working as a high position in a company using a fake college degree. With fake credentials that are actually his brothers!🤦🏾♀️
That's how people on the narcissistic spectrum are. They all lie to themselves until they believe their own lies. They won't admit to any wrong doing either. They will turn it around and accuse the other person of what they are doing. Dangerous individuals to be around especially if you don't know what you're dealing with.
And the senior staff put him in to the position! They are as much to blame and yet no responsibility is taken! Scapegoat springs to mind! The people in power believe they are untouchable!
Bint was jailed for impersonating Sir Keir Starmer who was the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP). Speaking on an episode of Life Stories, which aired on June 1, 2021, Sir Keir told Piers Morgan that Bint answered lonely hearts' adverts in the Sunday Times pretending to be him. Sir Keir said: “He would take a taxi down to see one of the women that he was seeing as Keir Starmer, down to the West Country, and say put the bill on the Crown Prosecution Service, director of public prosecutions.
I’m surprised none of his colleagues figured it out. People who work in the medical field, especially for a long time, usually can tell people that are pretending to know what they are taking about.
What I don't understand are not hospitals responsible to do a credential check?. Even in the 1970's and 1980's you can't get a job as an LVN without being asked for picture ID, references, schooling information, CV, etc..... It's one thing to con women and act as a financial advisor, but how does he manage to go into the hospital systems, especially after being caught and being thrown in jail more than once. I mean this is the UK, not some rural village in a third world country. That does not give someone much confidence in the health care system.
How did he order x-rays though? I assume he had no idea about the admin processes, and must have been obvious to colleagues and admin staff?! And what did he do with the collapsed lung? Like where would you even start?
A full third of the program is repetition, Still pics used again and again, script repeated...it's unbearable. Just google Paul Bint, read it & be done with it.
I don't know why the courts haven't taken steps to curb Bent's love for the con by simply putting him under surveillance as soon as he's released from prison + catching him as soon as he launches himself in another scam instead of waiting for months later.
This is like guys who claim to be Special Forces, Navy Seal, SAS etc. They often have never served at all. Be careful of the people who spin war stories down the pub, they might not be who you think they are
My dad WAS 82nd Airborne Ranger in Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Bay of Pigs. He never displayed metals or talked much about it. He always told me "if someone is bragging about being there, they either weren't there or they're sociopath, either way stay away "
Who was he being paid by? The hospitals? Do they not check degrees, references etc.? My God! The bit of money he got off women and stealing would not seem like that would support him....
I don't understand why security policies and procedures at every hospital in the country were not changed the moment he was charged from his very first hospital breach. I honestly don't understand either why more efforts were not made for this man to be incarcareted in a long-term secure forensic mental health facility.
These so called “experts” making excuses for this man’s evil actions- as psychiatric problem- are appalling! It’s an insult to people who are actually diagnosed with psychiatric illness!!!!!!!!

I'd be interested in hearing the Psychological assessment of him,and his childhood,he is actually very detached,he has to be,to do what he does,he is an accomplished actor
I think it's sad that in the present primitive state of development of knowledge in their fields, psychiatrists and clinical psychologists write reports in which they say certain individuals are "untreatable" and judges choose to believe such negativity.
Well, judges can usually only rule on something with the evidence presented to them by experts, rule according to precedent, or risk an unproven (in court proceedings) ruling that gets the whole thing declared a mistrial. But they should have had better professional witnesses at the trial. But some things are untreatable because the patient doesn't think they have a problem. It's hard to tell if the judge has a backwards view of psychology or not. I don't know why this documentary felt it necessary to even say that. Definitely didn't feel right lol
@@angelface925 That's certainly a good point that people labelled as having a "personality disorder" need to want to change if treatment is likely to succeed. However, mainstream psychiatrists and clinical psychologists seem to be saying more than that regarding "psychopaths". What I understand them to be saying is that no treatment will be effective anyway for those they give that label to. It's sad that mainstream opinion is so adamant when there still seems a lot to learn about the human psyche. When I needed help with depression my doctor told me, "Perhaps in the future we'll know how to help you". A psychiatric nurse said he considered the workings of the human mind the last frontier of knowledge. That was a while ago but I suspect knowledge is increasing only slowly. For example, on his TH-cam channel Dr Grande says that compulsive hoarding disorder used to be considered a form of obsessive-compulsive disorder but that has changed. I know the hands of those on the bench are tied when it comes to sentencing "psychopaths". If a judge were to make a hospital order in cases such as the Bint case, the psychiatrists, after a few days of observation, would just say the person was "untreatable" and discharge him to prison. But judges when saying there is no treatment could emphasise AT PRESENT. I think that might give a glimmer of hope to the loved ones of the prisoner.

Do the hospitals not bear a lot of responsibility for this? It seems to me they just let people just walk in and claim to be doctors... Also after he had done this once or twice shouldn't someone have circulated his photo to every single hospital or medical facility in the country to inform them about him and inform notify the police if he showed up?
UK has a range of “bad language” that’s beyond every others English countries, I think that maybe the only Australia can be a valuable contestant in a match of “who has the most colorful language of all English speaking countries”.
Here in America in our judicial system its three strikes your out. After the third time you are incarcerated for life . I think that countries would have less problems if they adopt this system
This entire thing is a load of people whining about the fact that they are easily tricked by their own bias towards wealth being power. He got away with it for so long because everyone around him has that status bias. That doctor took a patient in as a lover, which is an offence. Was she fired?
Lord only knows how he got away with duping women with a face only a mother could love 😧 it shows how shallow some people are , suddenly he’s desirable because he’s a doctor 😂
It's happened in Qld an Indian guy said he was a surgeon was reported constantly because he was butchering patients, finally he was charged but all complaints were ignored, clearly no verification done
MDs in ERs are so busy with their own patients that they don't have time to pay attention to what other doctors are doing. Even real med students goof off by scheduling dead patients on Friday afternoons in clinic so they can get off early because they know that nobody will show up. Sometimes the supervising MD doesn't even count how many patients their students see, so some guys would just goof off, go on break and let others do all the work. They all worked in separate exam rooms, so no one was all the wiser except some of the nurses who didn't speak up.
I picked up a girl in the street about 3am and she ended up coming back to my place. After we’d fooled around for a while she then asked me if I remembered the time when the fake doctor had done procedures at the Kettering hospital and then went on to tell me it was her brother. She seemed to admire him for his ability to con people.Needless to say she wore out her welcome quickly.
Goes to show that if you drive a fancy car, wear designer clothes, but wear a huge fake diamond ring, people will believe it as real. But if you drive an old Toyota and wear Walmart clothes, even if you wear a real 10 carat diamond, they'll think it's fake. Protected by poverty. 🤣

I've known two people like this, plus a factious faker who's addicted to going to the E.R. Also my sister who had both of these problems.
I hardly think Bint is the scapegoat in this story.
Too many repetitions. Could have been a lot shorter .
Sir Keir said: “He would take a taxi down to see one of the women that he was seeing as Keir Starmer, down to the West Country, and say put the bill on the Crown Prosecution Service, director of public prosecutions.

how on earth did he get away with it for so long
I can not imaging someone pretending to be a doctor. Even when you have satisfied patients, if someone dies you always get the blame.

YESS
But they are untreatable if the person has no desire to be a better person.
Lol what’s your experience in the field that you think you know better than them ?
