Thank you! I love crab but have been intimidated by Dungeness crab, and I normally steam or boil, so I'm excited to try this!

What’s the point off coating the crab when it’s still in shell? I mean it looks good but you’re not getting that fried texture on the crab.

i guess you just suck the flavor off the shell

Basically u can eat the batter off the crab. Just some extra flavors to enjoy.

That looks so delicious 🤤 but how do u eat that? Do u eat the whole crab 🦀 shell and all?

Way too much work. In San Francisco we just steam & eat. Before you pop it in your mouth, you can add lemon if you like, but it really doesn't need any seasoning at all.

Weird....this is exactly how a lot of people make it in San Francisco....you need more asian friends

Not everyone cook dungies the same.. this in the clip is usually delicious! But not my preferred way to cook and eat Dungeness. Deep frying any crab dries the flesh and it sticks to the shell, which is why I only eat it cooked this way at a buffet lol Clean and steam. Butter and garlic dip for the kids. Plain steamed for me. Either way is delicious

Wait! So we add all tasty stuff and spice before cooking to the shelled crab only to eat meat inside that shell? How does all the spice get to the meaty part then?

You suck the fried spices off the shell while cracking your way to the meat with your teeth. It's a messy process, but it's worth it for all the flavor you get.

why does nobody ever clean their crabs, also i woulda used red rock because no point of getting expensive crab if you are just gonna fry it, you wouldnt add hot sauce to a expensive steak
