    Dr Brian May wrote it for the fans so they could interact more, it's not a long song and it's the other side of We Are The Champions which Freddie wrote, it's recorded in Roger Taylor back garden, not all the songs are actually written by Freddie, they all wrote different ones, sometimes together sometimes in pairs separately, then they'd work together on how it best suited Freddie as he was the lead singer, many think it's Freddie and Queen but they were all very talented and all bought something different to the group

    The one time I got to see them in concert in England while Freddie was still the lead singer, I’ll never forget the roar from “the claps” as they were damn near deafening ✋️😄. What a song… What legends 🤙😎

      Was a young kid of 17years when I saw them at Knebworth Park(the last live concert) just unreal and the crowd was 120,000 but people estimated it was more like 200,000,.only Queen could get crowds like that.Its a memory I will never forget...what a day!RIP Freddie...Legend.

    If you want to see how a great rock band opens a concert, react to One Vision, live at Wembley, 1986! Then go behind the scenes and find out how they wrote the song in "The Making of One Vision"....really entertaining insight into how a band composes music together. Love your reactions!

    All four members of Queen wrote songs, and each of them brought something unique to the table. A very talented group of musicians with one of the greatest frontmen of all time! Please consider reacting to "Love Of My Life" from Wembley 1986!

    You guys should react to this LIVE, together with:
    "WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS"...
    since in live shows, Queen always played them TOGETHER.
    The performance at Montreal in 1981 is really popular.🖖

    Can’t wait to see this!
    Oh Lawt! Y’all are SOOOO going to absolutely love the Queen catalog of music. Also- check out Freddie Mercury’s solo work too.
    He was truly a gift from God.
    Seriously, take every single request offered up to you. It’s so rewarding in so many ways.

    Interesting trivia: it was filmed in Roger's (the drummer) backyard. Freddie kept on drinking liqueur to keep warm and then puked in the rose bushes. Today Roger has a 12' statue of Freddie in his garden. Please react to: NOW I'M HERE, live at Wembley...you won't see more energy by each member of the band...Dr. Brian May the guitarist wrote this song about touring in the US in the 1970s...soooo fire!!!

    It never makes sense to me why people react to this song alone. When it came out it lead directly into We Are The Champions. You never heard one on the radio without the other. They were treated as one song, and climbed the charts as We Will Rock You/We Are The Champions.

    • @sannaolsson9106
      @sannaolsson9106 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To me they are two completely different songs. They may cone after one another on the record and when they performed live but they are still two separate songs that has nothing to do with each other. Two different stories and lyrics, two different melodies. It makes perfect sense to react to just one of them. You understand each song perfectly fine without having to listen to the other.

      @@sannaolsson9106 I can listen to them either way but the main thing they have to do with each other is both were written to be audience participation songs. Queen loved to compete with one another in writing songs. We Are the Champions was Freddie competing with Brian's We Will Rock You.

    • @jayarr961
      @jayarr961 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@sannaolsson9106 No question about them being two different songs. It is just that they have always lead into each other. So, to me, it feels like your only getting half of the experience when you just hear one of them. I am spoiled and I want both 🙂

    Thanks T&S -- what's cool about this was that it was taped in Roger's garden... and the story goes that Freddie was hammered-drunk and puked in the hedges... also it was cold, he borrowed gloves from a roadie... and damned if he still isn't the coolest ever! (P.S. Brian didn't bring his "red special" guitar, b/c worried about how the cold would affect it.... )

    Just saw a headline yesterday that Eminem has now surpassed Queen to take the #3 spot for all time sales in the UK. That’s an insane feat considering how legendary Queen is.
    We Will Rock you leads into We Are the Champions on their albums with this song essentially acting as an album intro. It’s probably also why both songs are used at sporting events. If I remember correctly their greatest hits album has them listed together as 1 track.

      rock you wasn't released in the uk. champions was no 2
      both were released in the US as a double A side and reached no 4
      I looked up eminem and wasn't offered anything
      surpassed in what a single or album?
      all i was offered was Queen are still no 1 for their greatest hits 1 album and no 3 for a single Bo Rap which is the top non charity single as the two above it are charity songs

    Have you guys ever watched the other live version of this song that they played at the beginning of a lot of concerts in the late 70’s/early 80’s? Its different but also very good!

    When the song was released it was attached to another short song, We Are the Champions. I thought they were the same song for years.

    So this is the half the story... This is traditionally played first, with "We are the Champions" played immediately after, as a two-part story.

    You guys are not listening to the whole song and that's usually what happens with this song I did the same thing when I was younger. But there's more to this song. And much like what Queen always did their music goes from one different genre to the next. It tells us a story, you're not here in the whole thing.
