    Another really big obstacle is when parents and children have a disagreement on the kind of person to marry. Parents are not willing to look outside the culture when living in a new country.

    Marriage is not a priority anymore because we have lost our values. It's all about money and status now; it is not about God.

    • @Flowersx-x
      @Flowersx-x 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      True but a lot of muslim men these days are the same the first question they ask a woman is what do u do for ur career when it comes to marriage. They see women who are not going to take their career seriously or already have a career established as not marriage worthy instead of her deen, beauty, taqwa and akhlaq. Some parents are not different either they want their children to look for someone with good 'high paying' job otherwise they are deemed as not marriage worthy. Sad that things have become like this in our muslim communities where people seek temporary materialistic things as a priority.

    • @onknorr984
      @onknorr984 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@Flowersx-x Yeah that is materialism and not true devotion to God. Piety should be the first thing someone looks for in a partner. Not money. And men are expected to be providers so that is quite funny how they would be asking what a woman does for a career.

    Women generally feel apathetic to men, or have a mild contempt for them - unless a man is exceptionally handsome or high-status. So, it could be said, they don't really 'like' men - they just like his superior genetics and finances.
    There is no point hating them for this. It's just instincts, and no woman chose it.
    Hating women for not liking 95% of men is like hating women for having five fingers on her hand. It's totally arbitrary.
    It's perhaps the toughest pill to swallow, but women are indifferent to men, and actually kinda feel disdain for us. They have only tolerated us for so long, but with feminism, we can truly see where their interests lie. Just accept it, and live the best life you can.

      @@Sara-216 You can't even begin to compare RP with feminism. Feminism is responsible for taking women out of the home and into the workforce, it is the root cause of almost every ill in our society. It reduced the cost of labour making two-income households a necessity, it taught women to despise men, it is breaking families apart. RP would not even exist without feminism

      @@Sara-216 RP isn't an ideology, no one can name a single prescription because there aren't any. All RP does is analyse the dynamics between men and women and come to conclusions based off of that, it doesn't prescribe a way of life or a particular set of actions like feminism does. I can be a Muslim man and also acknowledge certain RP realities like saying 'no' to your wife, lest she begin to resent you for never standing your ground, just like Umar RA did.

    Wow, I dont know where to begin.
    1. They arent intrested.
    2. If they are, there is something which causes lost intrest.
    3. They take time to "know" each other but when it comes to meet with parents, they will take a long time to agree, but most of the time, they find an excuse then.
    4. The wali doesnt like one, because other nation or you look to much of a müslüm.
    5. When you can bring it to an meeting, than its not even something you find attractiv.

      She was wrong for doing so, the Prophet Muhammad SAW commanded his wives to stay in their houses, you think he'd be ok with her leading an army? cmon on man even Allah swt tells his wives to stay in their houses "
      And stay in your homes and do not go about displaying your allurements as in the former Time of Ignorance." Ahzaab ayah 33
      and if you actually knew you're history then you'd know about the hadith where Rasulallah prophesized this happening to ali and told ali to forgive her when it happens, no grounded muslim much less a scholar has ever viewed Aisha leading an army as a good thing. and theres also reports of her repenting from her actions afterwards and never leaving her home after that

      Al-Bukhari reported that Abu Bakra (Nufay' ibn al-Harith) narrated that “when news reached the Prophet that the Persians had made Khosrau's (Kisra Shirawayh) daughter (Buran) their queen, he said: *'Never will such a people succeed who make a woman their ruler.'*

      This is technically incorrect, she did not lead the army in fighting. She was only symbolically present there in order to negotiate terms with the other side, in order to aid reconciliation between both sides. Her presence carried weight due to her high status as the Mother of the Believers on both sides. She was not giving fighting orders like a general, nor making fighting strategies like a commander, nor fighting like a soldier in the army.
