David, The rotation you get out of that is incredible! It looks like you hardly have to apply any pressure and it just keeps on spinning!

It's interesting to me watching you become a better wood worker. You've got a calm and steady narrorator voice. Which is to say your videos continue to improve as well! Your efforts inspire me to work hard in my garage. Do you have the info on the hardware for the chop? The way the handle continues to glide after you let go is really nice.

Hey, George. Thank you for the kind words. I'm feeling a bit more confident. I just have to slow down a bit and think things through a bit more.
The hardware for the bench is from a company called Bench Crafted; their web site is www.benchcrafted.com. Their offerings are a bit pricey, you can get away much cheaper, but I decided to go with it. I've seen guys make their own hardware from scratch, but I am not set up to do that.
I'll be starting on an end table for the living room soon. That should be fun. Thanks for watching. Take care.

Hey, George. Sorry for the delay in getting back. The hardware is by a company called Benchcrafted. Here is a link: www.benchcrafted.com/glide. I think it's a great system. The operation is smooth and the clamping or holding power is phenomenal. Good luck.

Have you considered putting a shim behind the plates the X runs on to change the angle of the chop?

I had not considered that. I think that might work. I will investigate. Thanks for the suggestion.

hey dave great job... couple things that i added to mine... first i saw the hose pop off the chopsaw..you can get a hose clamp at the hardware store in the plumbing else to connect that.took me forever to figure that out lol. the next is put the riving knife on your table saw. I didn't have mine on and thought i was extremely careful til a kickback sucked my thumb in and i ended up with 6 stiches , luckily i didn't lose it but trust me you wont regret having that on your saw.. took 8 years for it to happen but it was quick and hurt like hell. Keep up the work, lookin great.

Thank you sir. Yes, I have to get a solution in place for the chop saw. I even thought of placing a small screw through, but did not want to block the air flow. It's cold in the shop right now, so I've been keeping busy with my model railroad inside.

Hey Mr. Butler. Just wanted to let you know I solved the slipping hose on the chop saw by simply wrapping a bit of scrap electrical wire around the hose and then wrapping the other end to the handle of the saw. Works perfectly, and the hose is easy to detach if necessary. Also my riving knife is back in place. It's still not quite aligned perfectly and depending on what I'm sending through it sticks a bit. I'm working on it now; but yes - the riving knife is back. Happy New Year!
