You do got this. Hopefully your already done. Hardest thing for most of us is over thinking stuff. I barely started this video right after I just built my larger assembly table for a smaller one car garage type area. Where can I put this or this? Specially on first build or first concept idea, just do it! You may make a new one later but you didn’t lose anything bc you gained a ton of knowledge. Heck, I have a rolling bathroom cabinet in my garage now that works for now as a mitre saw table. Minimal extras needed. Just do it. Don’t look back.

Catawampus. The one thing I love about you and your channel is you admit to making mistakes. You're not judgmental, just a very calm, pleasant, and easy to watch person. I make mistakes like the one table not being perfectly level with the other all the time and its great watching you calmly explain how to fix it. You did the same thing with the convertible bench to storage rack and its what keeps me coming back to your channel. Great job, keep it up.

I have always been interested in building things, but didn't take the time and effort to plan and give enough detail to the end result. I started watching your videos and it lit a fire under me. I've made a few things from watching you just for my personal enjoyment. To my surprise, I have actually sold several things. This is a great idea! I have very limited space to work in (my single car garage is my own kitchen and food preservation space- my wife doesn’t let me mess up her’s) and I almost always have to move outdoors to a concrete slab to build something. This will allow me to have a mobile station to replace my adopted picnic table work surface, and have a place (bottom shelf) to wheel all of the tools needed for the project. I have a 12` x 15` collapsible canopy that I use for cover from the elements that this will fit under perfectly. Thanks from a northern yankee with an eastern (farm / vineyard country) Long Island accent which southerners claim is pretty thick too! 😊😊😊

      THANK YOU!
I’m a long time subscriber and this time you’ve designed the PERFECT workbench for my shop. I’ve been wanting something like this for years as my current workbench is an old kitchen island salvaged from a friends remodel project. While it works, I too find it tough to reach across and (for my likes) a bit too tall. However, when I build this I’m only going to use the 2 smaller ones because I rarely work with sheet goods.
Thanks again for finding the perfect solution!

I built cabinets in a dewalt loyal shop for years and when I got laid off I bought the Hercules radial arm saw biggest one they had out of desperation.
I would pit that and the orbital sander and any other Hercules tool I’ve bought against a dewalt any day at 1/3 the price.
The only thing I haven’t been impressed with is the durability of the consumables (sandpaper etc) but the tools themselves are solid.

Great video! I’m a leather crafter and I often need smaller modular tables as work stations but it’s super handy to have a large table to cut full sides of leather. I think this is going to be the perfect solution! Thanks for the inspiration!!

Been playing with wood for years. I've gone from a single car garage with a concrete floor that was hand mixed and very rough (by a previous owner) to a nice two car garage, to a 24ft by 38ft shop, to my now 40ft by 72ft shop. I built a large table with cabinet under an adjustable top that serves as an assembly table as well as an outfeed table. It has slots to match my 10 inch table saw's miter slots as well as my 12 inch table saw miter slots.
And, I built an infeed table as well that has a maple top, is drilled for 3/4 inch dogs and two wood vise.
All my power equipment with the exception of my 10 inch table saw were my father's and even though they are old love using them!

1st time viewer and enjoyed it. I have built several benches and equipment tables using this design going back to early 2000s. I found the plans on the Experimental Aircraft Association site way back when. They were called EAA Work Tables if I recall correctly. The supplied cut list resulted in 2 24”X60” tables from X (can’t remember and too lazy to go find) 2x4s and 2 sheets of plywood with minimal waste. Kudos to you taking the sound, simple design and building this innovative solution.

Catawampus. I love the Harbor Freight roof racks. I haul 2-3 kayaks, bike, and/or ladders several times a week for 9 months out of the year. So nothing really heavy, but they have been rock solid, easy to install, and hundreds of dollars cheaper than the other bigger brand roof racks.

Catawampus is fun to type and say!
About 5 years ago I went on a deep-dive to find the "best" workbench and most of those videos involve hundreds of hours of really fancy dovetails and crazy vises and bells and whistles. I remember looking for something EXACTLY like this. I agree this is the best work bench because it is simple and it works and you can adapt it to your needs. I will be using this design for my next workshop when I move next year this is the first project on the list (after I pour the concrete floors cause I don't think the castors would work in the dirt.)
Thank you for sharing all that you do. Your channel is one of the few that feels legitimately like its sole purpose is to help people that want to make projects (and make money selling projects)

I've got a super small shop with a lean to to work under. That's where I do my cutting and planning. The problem is the lean to still has a dirt floor. We are remodeling a bathroom now but as soon as it's done I plan to have concrete poured under the lean to. I'm going to build these tables to help with everything you talked about in the video. I'll be able to take down my saw horses and planks I use for a table. Good video Matthew!
