You should add that once you have changed all the settings for mm you should go to File /Default and then Save Startup File or all of your mm settings will revert back to meters. Great video though.

An excellent precise tutorial - however in order to have Blender open in MM every time you need to go FILE - DEFAULTS - SAVE STARTUP FILE (After you have set everything up. AS listed in IMPORTANT comment down below - caused me a bit of frustration that bit but all good now.

This is an absolute awesome video mate. I am starting out with my own business in 3d printing and a lot of my work I deal with millimetres not metres. I am not new to blender as such I used to do character moulding years ago but now into precision work now for my 3d printing. this has helped me so much within the short length of this video. Hello!
I'm a big fan of your page and I love the precision tutorials!!
I noticed that when I'm in orthographic mode (after adjusting clipping parameters), I get these vertical line patterns on my screen. I suspect it may have something to do with the clipping but can't pinpoint the issue. Also, I'm working in standard units if that may play into the lines issue. I can send a snippet if you'd like a reference!
Thanks so much for these great contributions to the community!!

This is useful in making simulations with small real scale objects. Because with meter unit, the objects have to be quite large in order to make the blender perform normally in simulations.

      Hi Paladin Cigars,
Thank you for your kind words. I'm so glad you are enjoying the videos.
As to where I have learnt all this information. Well I jumped into blender via Print That Things course: th-cam.com/video/tADBX-LrGHc/w-d-xo.html
It was a good start and it's got a lot better from what I've heard. Apart from that, I have quite a few years of experience in VFX and Product design through lots of 3D modelling programs. Once you learn one and the workflow. It's just a case of learning the new shortcuts in other programs. I played around in blender for about 3 -4 months and I found it very annoying that no one was doing any precision-based videos to help those coming from a CAD background or joining blender only for CAD so I thought I would help out and create what I wish I had at the start. So short answer I pressed lots of buttons in blender for 3 months untill I started to understand how I could relate to them. 😅
