I recently got a Rebel 4 and the first tip about double tapping the screen is SO helpful! I thought it was so awful to put the power button on the back and waking it up was so awkward. Now I can use my phone as a clock again :D... a clock that also makes calls.

Great video! I lost my G3 so i had to get the G4 and honestly i didn't expect it to be much better but IT IS. LG did a great job adding little tweaks that make a huge difference and the screen is fabolous! The customisation options are infinite. I love this phone lol
i went from an iphone 4s from 2011, to this a few weeks ago, and its a much better experience for me. maybe not for everyone, but for me. i adore the thing
Do you think it's worth it? Debating on getting this and was wondering if it has any lag?
Isabella Matti it's got no lag but i will say that the charging speeds are absolutely terrible and the battery life isnt that great. other than that it has a fantastic display and the interface is incredibly seemless, no input lag at all and having the buttons on the back becomes extremely normal and when i use another phone i always wonder why the buttons are on the top and sides. and the camera is absolutely the best camera that ive used on a phone, and im aware that the galaxy S6 has technically a better camera but i am able to completely adjust the camera setting as i please like a dedicated camera.
i love the phone and ive had it for about 3 months.
this is entirely my opinion, but yeah for me its perfect other than the battery and charging
+calvin smith Hey, did you know that ur lg g4 supports quickcharge 2,0? bought a charger from amazon for 10 bucks and now im getting,a full charge in about 1,2 hours
Albert Fichtenau i bought one as well and im still having problems. i think its my individual battery
+calvin smith charging speed is terrible only on first charge. for me it charges around 1,4 hours and i think whats enough good. Battery last for me 2 full days with around 3-3,5 hour screen time. If screen is not used than its super great on phone calls, like 3% battery per hour on phone call.

i watched about 6 of these G4 tip videos and not one of them mentioned that you can either of the volume buttons (while the camera app is open) as a shutter button, it's really great when you are one handing it

Just got this phone. Excellent information. Before i had an S4 and needed a bunch of apps to accomplish what phones can do out of the box now. That's why Android runs things. Developers create useful apps and then manufacturers pay attention and add them into stock versions.
+sakitech You must be a power user. When i go to my 'battery & power saving' screen it says '81%, est time +25h 36min'. Yours says '79% + 5h 30min' WOW! :)

zevach17 if you wanna buy a new phone then go with the lg v10 however if you like me want a less expensive alternative then go with the g4.

Hi there ! Do you think a X-TWIN Dual sim adapter will fits into a G4 between the battery and the phone back's case? In an other way to ask it, will i have the space to put an other sim car between the case and the battery ?

When I hold the Home screen to obtain the customization menu, then tap Wallpaper and tap Multi-Photo, I do not find the screen options you show; in fact, I get nothing. I presume that you downloaded beforehand the two options you showed. How is this done? I only get directed to my Gallery.

My double tap turn on stopped working on mine a long time ago, maybe it was shortly after getting the repaired G4 from LG for the boot loop problem. Too bad, it would have been very handy when I have the phone mounted in a cradle and can't get to the rear button without having to take it out just to turn it on.

You need to mention that if you are using your phone to get work email (Microsoft Exchange) and your work requires you to use a PIN to unlock, you can't do all the swipes and double taps.

Hi there. Great Review.... I bought the phone G4 after watching your review. Camera is a killer!!! I want to use an external mic (wired or wireless) for improved audio for my video. I have many mics - from XLR pro mics to Entry level stereo lavaliers. I tried everything. But it keep picking up the sound from the internal mic. Called LG...their Tech Support have some decent dumbos behind the phone who have no clue. I can't figure out if its a setting that needs to be changed or what....Can you help. Can I use any kind/type of mic or setting for my purpose? Thanks.

qslides can be minimized into a little square if you drag them to the edge of the screen
For some reason i don't have the theme option in general settings or even in messaging. I also don't have qslide and its the same exact phone. I'm confused.
you seem like just the guy I hope can help, I bought a new 64 GB SD card ,when I put it into my G4 I am having trouble getting applications to download onto the SD card now the G4 I have which I don't think should make a difference is the dual SIM, version H818N ,I can't see any reason why it won't work ,I even downloaded the application that said , help you to move stuff to your SD card , I'm stumped i have only been able to move 17 pics, I hope you can help me. great video by the way

I have to mention that you don't have to have a password set to use the "quick view" option from the screen being off. I just tried it because I was curious, and I don't have any password set or anything, and it gave me the quick view.
