- I was able to sit down and talk to Kendrick, while he was laying down vocals on G-Malones new album, about his life and how growing up in Southern Cali (Compton) affected his mind and music. This piece was just for fun. I created it on my laptop and it is no where near ready for prime time. Shout to Glasses Malone and Bryan "Money" Sallis for allowing me and my crew; Mar and Taush to come thru and a special shout out to Kendrick Lamar for keeping it 100 on the interview.
I can't formulate words to express how READY...I AM... for this new chapter of Kendrick...I need this album, like yesterday
Now look
I wonder how this user was when TPAB dropped literally THE NEXT YEAR
@@greenbean261 fr
wonder how you fell abt tpab now.
@@greenbean261about 4 months later
9 yrs later & i’m just seeing this.. I’m glad I am, to see what Kendrick has truly accomplished in his career. An absolute legend.
True story
Facts, protect Kendrick at all costs
It's easy to be pimped by the industry; tempting butterflies to lose their identity. Thank you for staying grounded, for choosing life over death. For choosing art over sugar-coated-manufactured studio puppets. You are rich beyond measure, when you stay real to your soul.
One of the realest in the industry💯
THIS MAN IS THE TRU DEFINITION OF HIP HOP... KING KENDRICK 👑🐐
he was put here to save and protect hip hop ! protect dot at all cost!
There, Kendrick told us the concept of TPAB way before it came out. You just gotta listen carefully
Specifically the song Complexion he mentions the whole concept here about how is home boys are stuck on the block and don't see a world outside of it.
Your dream came true K Dot.
He spoke it into existence.
And stayed real in the process. 🙏🏼
Kendrick Lamar touches my soul in a way no one could ever replicate. Truly King 👑
Ro Saunders he’s human and divine, young and old man at the same time. But damn the realest brother out there.
And to think this was 9 fucking years ago wow
The dopest rapper alive!!! Kendrick Lamar 👑👑👑✊✊✊
gotta agree to disagree,,, hes the best rapper alive
I literally love Kendrick so much
What a legend!
I’m what the Culture feeling
Seeing Kendrick just shows you that if you stick to what you want and most importantly believe you can achieve anything, I've been rapping for almost a year, I got 11 subscribers just trying to grow I got a new music video out and a mixtape in the progress and I'm not going to stop I'm going to keep on trying tell I make an impact.
Fr keep that dream alive
Keep it alive bro!
bro whyd u stop
Damn bro
What happened homie,? you stopped believing?
damn sometimes I'd like to think KENDRICK is immune to writer's block....its like the dude raps subconsciously
Gemini. Our mind never stops. Writing is fun & expressive for us. Pac was the same way ♊️
+André 3000 yeah that's some dumb suedo science
I don't know if one would call it immunity when you live, breathe and dream rhymes and that's all you do 24/365. Wisdom may have come from all the pain of personal experiences and lives lost in front of kenny's eyes like he describes in sing about me. Damn, some times words don't seem adequate to describe kenny but that's just me.
“So damn great, motherfucker, I’ve died.
What you hearing now is a paranormal vibe”
@@sako4366 Kendrick believes it. Always mentions that he’s a Gemini.
LOOK AT ALL THE FAMOUS PPL AROUND KENDRICK WHEN HE WAS JUST GETTING STARTED … THEY ALL KNEW WHSG HE WAS DOING WAS GREAT ….. THANK YOU KENDRICK FOR GIVING YOUR PPL SOMETHING TO BELIEVE IN …
legendry legend
Its all the same song throughout, just different parts. Its called "Thuggin" by Glasses Malone ft K-dot. This is the only place you will see this interview.

Great interview
I come back to this vid for snippet at the end, I cannot wait to hear the full release, this is already giving me goosebumps. "Time and time again I find myself inside the cerebellum of several felons, orions belt couldn't live in my world..."
anything is possible, listen to your intuition and be true to yourself :)
...
A Lyrical 🔥 PHENOMENONAL 🔥 Gifted Genius. ONE verse has so much depth that it can easily take hours to unpack! Meaning. Depth. Introspection, Real 🔥🔥🔥 💣 🔥🔥🔥
This is a really great interview. I hope the song gets released soon. I like it
Can't wait to hear the full version of that song as well as his next project. Patiently waiting.
i wish i could interview Kendrick, you are so lucky and so was he because that interview was one of the best if not best I have seen. Thank you for posting this!
kendrick king
Real shit
3:00 he must've altered this verse for Sing About Me. 🔥🔥🔥
I hope that version exists on the internet
Kendrick is mad deep!!
Great interview..
Keep keepn it a 💯
My babe so smart and adorable 😌
❤😂haha y'all are both cute
😌🙈
Kendrick dosent get the respect he deserves. I always have arguments with my friends about him. this is a rapper that most people are sleeping on because they go by what they hear on the radio but they don't listen to his mixtapes. Kendrick is a lyricall artist and he is killing the game the right nowall hands down
It's a shame that the media calls his next album sophomore, when 5 years ago he had the equivalence of a veteran in the game with all the mixtapes which were alike large album projects.
I always have to defend kendrick when I talk about him and his lyrics
The reincarnation of Tupac
He's far from underrated dude gets madd critical acclaim he's hyped as the best new rapper where is being underrated?
Brendan Lissy to all my friends and here in Pittsburgh that's where
Here in 2024
I’m so glad he matured and came into his own to evolve into who he’s become ❤
Ayo real talk I appreciate your creative eye and really bringing out the "this is me"feel in the interview. Excellent job on editing with the simplest form of portraying the artist. Your right this wasn't for mainstream because it felt like an intimate meet and greet with Ken. You don't get that anymore, but its always refreshing to see people deliver what we need to see and hear opposed to what mainstream pushes on us...DOPE bro dope
GREAT interview, great edits, great story telling. great job man.
This why I loved Kendrick since look out 4 detox
Here after hearing DAMN.
He makes a good voice narrator
Kendrick Lamar is one of the illness lyrical MC's on the West Coast point blank. He's almost like the West Coast version of Nas but instead of rapping about Queens he's rapping up all Compton
cool documentary and I can't wait for that song.
It's amazing
That greats like dmx inspired him
Now he's way better then dmx
While yes i understand that
Most can't surpass the ones that they are inspired by however
Kendrick has truly

That would make sense that he was inspired by DMX I didn't know that but when I listened to his music it reminded me when he talked about Lucy when DMX would do the Damian thing. Inspiration from old to New.
King Kendrick.
