I love that, though he's a christian artist, Kendrick has the humility not to act as though he's without sin and doesn't put on a "holier than thou" facade, and that he makes music about the world and the people in it, rather than just more safe devotional songs marketed towards an audience pressured into feeling like bad christians for liking anything but a particular type of music, and that grows more fickle day by day. Kendrick's music is what good christian music should be, an analysis of the world an artist sees coloured by their belief in and relationship with God, rather than just another bland praise song. I think the very fact that Kendrick is getting an interview to talk about his inspirations and meanings within his music is a testament to the fact that this dude is on another level. I don't see quality interviews with this type of dialogue for regular 'rappers.' I'm so glad to see this dude get this type of credit. Kendrick has taken rap and hip hop to a place that hasn't been reached before. At least not to the masses. I'm into this culture, but I have to admit I didn't think it would be a rap album that blessed so many peeps with some serious, serious intellectual and spiritual thoughts and direction.

I feel it in my soul that he directed that line to drake.
Dont know if Drake has a ghost writer or not. But her does have a video from Noggin when he was on Nickelodeon, and its a cribs type video and he shows his house and his rap books. You can find it on youtube. That was at least 6 years ago though if not longer
jivy96 ya I saw that video but even if he did write all those raps doesn't mean they were good but personally I think Drake writes most of his own bars
+Jefferson Alade oh noooooo i swore i wouldn't tell
this thread is looking mighty interesting in these modern times 😂🤔
these two have amazing chemistry, great interview
Had me crying knowing he was fighting not to stutter
my love of Kendrick just keeps right on growing
Relevant then, relevant now.
And even more now 🥹
HELL YEAAAA THAT SHOUT OUT TO DeadEndHipHop!!! THey doing BiiiiG THiNGS!!!
love his eyes, so genuine...
2 Pimp A Caterpillar = 2Pac ???
My mind is blown...
Don't Worry yup
Thats madd profound right?
I like to see that Kendrick doesn't rush and really contemplates the questions and gives quality well thought out answers. Good interview.
I think the very fact that Kendrick is getting an interview to talk about his inspirations and meanings within his music is a testament to the fact that this dude is on another level. I don't see quality interviews with this type of dialogue for regular 'rappers.'
I'm so glad to see this dude get this type of credit. Kendrick has taken rap and hip hop to a place that hasn't been reached before. At least not to the masses. I'm into this culture, but I have to admit I didn't think it would be a rap album that blessed so many peeps with some serious, serious intellectual and spiritual thoughts and direction.
My favorite part of the whole album is when he says "I remember you was conflicted"
This black man is meant to be special.King Kendrick ❤️❤️❤️❤️💯
Imagine what his next albums gon be like
SakshatKc it's called untitled unmastered
i just dont know how he's gonna do another tpab, that album blew my fucking mind, idk how he's gonna do it again
Levi Fridriksson He will and we're all going to love it
SakshatKc ikr
subscribe to me for fire songs🔥 and other stuff😳
Andres B that was just cuts from TPAB
realest interview ever, feels like a genuine conversation and not just prying questions. Interesting questions asked and interesting answers provided back
Watched all 4 parts so many times and still love it. One of my favourite Kendrick interviews.
9 years later bro still cool as Cucumber 😭
Something about Kendrick's voice is really soothing and calming. It's like auditory Valium.
My man Kendrick has matured a lot.
So humble. Respect this man to the fullest extent. sweats and no jewelry. you know he's stacking but you best believe that isn't his main goal, the goal is the message... and that is what I appreciate.
Kendrick: *disses rappers with ghostwriters*
Kendrick: "I'm not gonna say no names"
Drake: *sighs*
3 years later…
@@jakeembers😂
aged like milk
Had to come watch this again in December 2024 after listening to GNX
Everyone: Kendrick, what are you up to today?
Kendrick: It gets a little deeper.
I’ve watched so many of his interviews,,,this one in particular,,,and his mind/understanding/concept/spirit. Motivates me on so many levels❤2024 and I still come back for a down to earth yet spiritual level
Kendrick is one of the few hiphop "artists" in the game that command respect. he on his own level whether u fuk wit it or not
There's no other like Kendrick. Most of these rappers have flows or personas that resemble another rapper. They always remind you of someone else but Kendrick is great all on his own. Everything he represents is due to his own mindset and influence
10:08 hello 2024 Kendrick
Kendrick has put out 2 Classics!
Probably will be another one before 2020
So with that being said:
KENDRICK LAMAR, BEST RAPPER OF THE DECADE!!
I love this guy
He tackles big issues and his music has consequence he is a prophet for his people .... no one in hip hop had this much artistic integrity since tupac and NWA
I admire this MC till this day I knew he was going to be that ONE!

When he asks about the title of the album, Kendrick shouts out Dead End Hip Hop. Shout out to them, Kendrick, and whoever else knows DEHH. Some of the best Hip-Hop reviewers on TH-cam and the blogs.
WOW Kendrick is the realist musician around i hope people can understand where I'm coming from......
I literally have tears in my eyes. For a long time I felt this world was lost in the dark, no superman to come and save us, no superman to show us the light. Then Kendrick came, and now I feel true hope, we found truth, we found the light, we found Superman.
Kendrick Lamar will go down as a legend.
