You could also get an F150 Xl with the 3.5EB for the same price. In Feb of 2024 I bought a new 2023 Ram 1500 Classic Tradesman Express. It doesn’t have all that tech that this one has but it does have some good addons. It has 5.7 hemi, heated front seats and steering wheel, spray in 5.7 ft. box, 392 gears, running boards, mud flaps, tow package with controller factory installed, the 5 inch screen, rear parking sensors, colour is white including front and rear bumpers, electric drivers seat, remote start. The best part is I bought this for 37,800 US dollars or 52,000 cdn before taxes and 20 inch aluminum wheels. I get the same fuel mileage as your 2025 Ram. You should show the 2024 Ram 1500 Classic. I would bet it’s a much cheaper option. Great video, thanks.

I DID buy a bare-bones truck. Back in 2021, I bought a brand new Chevy Colorado, extended cab, long bed, 4wd, v6. That's it. I added a tow hitch and trailer brake set up myself.
In February 2023, I bought a 2016 Base Canyon 2WD, extended cab, long box, with a manual transmission. In 2017 GM added cylinder deactivation and since I didn't want that technology I went with a 2016. Unfortunately even the 2016 Base Canyon has too much technology and I find it annoying. It was previously owned by a retired guy, so it was in great condition and only had 80,000 kilometers on the odometer. I drove my 2002 Sonoma 2WD extended cab, long box with a 4.3L V6 Vortec and automatic transmission almost 3000 Kilometers from Alberta to Ontario and then drove my "new" Canyon home in the middle of a February snow storm. I got stuck on the way home because every time the wheels would spin the computer (traction control) cut power and it was frustrating. I had to pull 2 fuses to deactivate the traction control system. The TFL guys are always saying you need a 4x4 but a 2WD works just fine in Canadian winters. The first thing I did was replace the stock 16-inch rims with 18-inch SLT rims from a salvage yard and my fuel economy dropped by 2 MPG. I like the manual transmission, but I hated the sound of the 4-cylinder engine. I replaced the stock muffler with a Cherrybomb Vortex, and now it sounds more aggressive, and the fuel economy improved by about 2 MPG.
Everyone talking about the high price, but this one has so many options. Most work trucks will be the base pentastar, no tow mirrors, no cameras other than back up, 4x2 not 4x4 etc. Just sayin. Base price is like 40K.
🤷♂️equally, maybe a little better equipped, gmc 1500 pro with 5.3, 4wd, crew & 6’ something bed….MSRP comes in at about $52k, only thing “missing” was I couldn’t find towing mirrors option.

Most trucks have after market inverters to power cellular hot spots, laptops, etc. Most oem inverters with only 400 watts aren't enough we put in 2000 so you can also charge all the power tool bases.
I love these reviews in your garage. I like this RAM a lot. This one is nicely appointed and the 6 seat option is very practical when picking up people at the airport for example. Plenty of room for luggage! Thank you Roman and Andrei. I hope Nathan has also a garage in L.A. for similar reviews.
We have a big horn 2022 cloth seats 6 seating, eco diesel trailer package towing out travel trailer and it has everything we want and need. Surprisingly, the cloth seats are superior.
Forget to mention the truck has air suspension, an easily left off option that’s not really needed unless you tow/haul a lot. How much did that cost. I suspect you can go to the shorter bed and regular suspension and knock off over $4k. Also, for a work truck the quad cab would be plenty. So with a little trimming, you could probably end up under $50. Still a lot, but have you checked a Happy Meal?
You’ve traded the power ports and connections for cruise control. Oh well. Also, you’re missing the front recovery hooks. Big miss. But I definitely like the lower perceived ride hight with a lower step in height. You do loose the power fold capability when you opt for the trailer tow mirrors. The new hurricane dual turbo six is still an unknown for service, maintenance and repair costs. We are seeing that it’s not getting the expected fuel economy bump. Most people do not tow, haul, or go off-road (serious) to justify all those goodies. If you need them, pony up.
My buddy bought one of these in 2018 one year old with like 15K miles on it & he paid just under $20,000 & it was a 5.7 hemi with a long ass bed + single cab... So yeah this is a little bit more of a truck but not even near justifying that cost
As far as the bed, for a work truck the quad cab gets you the mid size bed which is probably better. Also the Detroit Auto Show should be in livable seasons.

Lots of USB4-Type-A, USB4-Type-C ports plus 240V/120V AC plugs, legacy 48V/24V/12V DC plugs and wireless charging plus Wi-Fi, RJ-45 and 400 gigabit+ fibre network connections plus multiple HDMI, DisplayPort, SDI, RG-15, DVI, SCART and BNC/RCA Video ports and XLR/RCA/SPDIF/1/8" and 1/4" Mic-Headphone-Phono ports and RS-232/RS-422/Centronics legacy input/output data ports are also included for data/audio/video recording to and playback from internal hard drives. Ports will internal-cabin-mounted plugs and externally-mounted plugs with ruggedized weather protection. Front and rear air conditioning/heater vents with manual controls will also be standard.
Rear bed retractable ladder and grab bars along with tailgate worktable measurement rulers, built-in clamp recesses, deep cup holders and even multiple lockable ice box/storage compartments are inside the soft-open/soft-close tailgate AND on the front nose and rear side panels on both sides of the truck for ultimate storage space and external accessibility.
It would cost us $30,000 USD to build using fully-automated build-and-assembly systems and we would sell it for a FLAT-RATE price of $44,444 plus distance-based delivery charges and taxes. NO DEALER MARKUPS PERIOD! And EVERY replaceable item and part will be designed to be taken out and removed/replaced by the end-user within 15 minutes or less! Even the entire truck bed itself will be able to be removed in 15 minutes or less! Just order the parts online from us or buy from local parts resellers such as NAPA or LORDCO and you can replace it all yourself while in-the-field!
I already have the truck design ready to go as a fully-kitted-out CAD/CAM/FEA/Simulation file-set and it wouldn't take much for me to get funding for this venture so we can sell it to you.
What else do YOU want in your ultimate ultra-duty pickup truck as a feature request?
Is Ram going to make a regular cab long bed in the new version since they k1lled off the classic Ram?
Will an ATV fit on the bed?
Will you load up the bed with something heavy to see how it drives with a load?
if you hate all the fancy bullshit that just ends up breaking in the long run you buy that kind of truck I'll take that truck over any fancy one.
oops I have a 2008 2500 diesel truck white and black
everything's perfect, runs like a champ.
Ram $20,000 over priced.
Trash
2008 called, it has a new truck for you at that price.
Definitely
yep and that's how they're going to end up going out of business!!
this shit's out of control!
That's not the one, you have to get the f250 fleet truck with 360 camera and winch and skid plates plus rear locker for 60k
TFL should come to The Philadelphia Auto Show on January 11 through January 20, 2025.
It makes the most sense honestly. Do we really need all the extra crap.
Yes i do 💯 heated cooled seats👍 big screen with great camera's 👍 heated steering wheel 👍 great stereo system 👍
Why would we want adaptive cruise and front cameras and parking sensors?
Hey - your RAM is now 1 lb lighter!
When it's rusting on the lot it might come down on price.
Grow up
I once had 2001 GMC SLE with auto 4 . 5.3liter 8ft bed extra cab. $35000
23 yrs ago!!!
Is “pay” load technically 1 pound now? 😂
That joke is money in the bank. Well "worth" the read! 😂
This isn't anything to do with you guys at TFL, but these new over priced crappy vehicles are making me loose complete interest in the whole "new car market" and watching reviews about them from you or other youtubers.
I find myself more interested in older used models that are affordable and models that ended up becoming reliable hidden gems most people didn't know about.
Welcome to the new lower class, made up of the old middle class. Plenty of great gently used vehicles to be had, but they are also going up in price as more people pass on new and turn to used for something more affordable.
Dam for 8000. $ you could get a 25 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD Trail Boss 6.6L with a 13.2` monitor. 😮😊
I do love this truck. Still, $7000 is too much.
I’m thankful for DODGE building up the legacy of the RAM nameplate so we can still have/enjoy RAM trucks today! Without DODGE… There would be no RAM truck brand! ❤
Just seen the same Truck at local dealership for 48,000 Local Chevy has a same style with baby DuraMax for 43,000
I just want a $20k truck with a na v8 power windows a small radio with bt and 4x4
For all the larpers on the internet proclaiming they will NEVER buy higher trims, i sure see a ton of mid trim and higher everywhere i go...🤔 Hey guys ITS OKAY to pay a bit extra and get some luxury and, BREAKING NEWS: it can still do truck things even with leather seats and a sunroof. Who knew🤷♂️
its boomers with too much money.
@@zachlafond2652 im not a boomer OR have too much money.. and i got a 23 LTZ with the 3.0 Duramax and i LOVE IT. An extra 7k spread over a 6 year loan is really not a big deal🤷♂️ The lowest trim that was decent was 55k..
Just another truck that will rot on the lot. Too much money, too little bed. Too many people are significantly upside down in equity and they have run out of people dumb enough to buy them. Nobody that needs their truck to make them money is going to buy this truck. All the tradesmen I know buy used U-Haul trucks and old grand caravans. They don’t drop 50k+ on new trucks with a 5’ bed unless it’s a section 179 expense for their wife to drive.
The reason is because it has a cvt transmission in the Maverick it would burn up.
At $44/45k this might be consideration purchase. At $57k it’s an easy pass….
Now it needs to cost 27k
Wake up
Everything stellantis rebadged to sell as USA has bomb!!
This thing should be $30k max
This should be a 26,000 dollar truck period
That's just extreme id say 40 grand today
@@alexanderabboud4691 this used to be the reality why would you even promote the idea for it to be 20 thousand more??? Silly goose
This should be a $10k truck, just like 40 years ago, not a penny more
@@DJTYLERRADIO. Guys come on it's 2024 with all the shirt in these trucks you just be on crack to think of yeaa 10 grand when house that used to go for 250000 go for 650000
No thanks that is 72,000 Canadian overpriced by 35,000.
