I understand why the Tradesman is pushing $60k: added options. This needs to be acknowledged. If you go to RAM's online configurator, the Tradesman is $40k which is substantially better priced. Of course I'd go for the Tungsten if money wasn't an object. But with it being so, I'd go for a used Rebel. Even though I don't off-road, it's still nice to have if I unexpectedly have to. Second option being the Limited, again used.
Thanks for the great vid. Gives buyers a good example of each of these trims. Nice looking trucks. The luxury options on all new trucks are crazy. Anyone in the market need to take some time in the build and price tool to see what options they want and what they can do without.

In 2020 i got a laramie sport trim with the hemi and 4x4 for 41k out the door. In that short time the same truck now costs 30k more. Literally cocaine levels of crazy going on with these manufacturers.
You are looking at the sticker on the new one, you don't know what the out the door price so I don't think it's fair to say its 30K more. Also this is a night package which is significantly more then a standard Laramie sport. I'm looking at Laramie Sports now and they are stickering 67-72K depending on options. I'm hoping to get down closer to 60K with the discounts. That said I do think the Laramie night package is overpriced, just not worth getting it for what they want for it, it is much more reasonable on the Big Horn.
First time visiting your channel, I must say very impressed. Through every model you gave a distinct and thorough overview. I just picked up a 2025 limited H.O. no appearance package a waste of $4000. And no need for level 1 towing package for the additional $5000 for 62.5k. MSRP was 80k 16k off MSRP. fantastic truck
I think options take that up a bit. Building a base quad cab with just the Hurricane and I see it is technically possible to get it in at under $50k. Still tons of money in my mind but quite a bit less if you choose options wisely.
I priced the warlock package at 57k. Now the key is to wait and buy when they are discounted. Ram usually discounts the bighorn trim the most. I got mine 11k off msrp.
Hopefully they have the sport appearance option again for the tradesmen. Got that option on my ‘23. Like the sporty appearance without the bells and whistles
The interesting thing I’m seeing is when the 5.7 was an option I didn’t see much of any 3.6 pentastars. Now I’m seeing a bunch of them in the Big Horn trims here. And that motor in a Big Horn for $60k is terrible. When I can get an XLT PowerBoost for close to $60k.
People are realizing the Hemi engine is goofy and not needed. Horrible mpg, outdated tech, and if you drove a 5.7 vs 3.6 Pentastar you really couldn't tell a difference in power, they just sounded a little different that's all.
They kinda predicted this about 12 yrs ago. Vehicles would become so expensive that it would be common to “ lease”the time you used it. Then the next person would lease their time with it, and so on. So it may be coming true after all
Price is why Ram still is the highest days of inventory of all vehicles on the market … 153 days. Also I just looked at my Honda Ridgeline that’s says cargo max is 1543 lbs. Still tows 5,000 lbs V6. I would have bought another GMC Sierra SLE-1 Crew Cab. GMC priced out of my range. Call these Ridgeline Barbi trucks if you may …. But OTD cost $41640.
The Ridgeline is not even in the same truck segment lol. Completely different. Also, you can better discounts. You coils have definitely got a level one Big Horn or tradesman d For the similar price point.
Are all the RAM motors built in Mexico now?? I see they assemble some trucks in the USA but all the window stickers I’ve seen on the 2025’s so far engine source:Mexico ??
I love the Truck King’s reviews. For me the Laramie offers to perfect compromise between comfort and capability. I like this lineup but what I am really excited about is the new RamCharger and Ram 2500. Can’t wait for those models to be released.
The prices of these trucks are beyond crazy!!! I bought a 2019 Laramie Black Edition fully loaded in 2018 brand new it stickered for 66k and came with 13k in discounts! As much as I want to trade up to a 2025 Limited night package, there's no way I'm paying 85-90k for virtually the same truck! The same goes for the Ford and GMC variations! This is getting ridiculous!
Hi TK, I'll be in the market for a 25/26 3500hd diesel and would suggest a future video of Howard comparing the 6.6 duramax vs 6.7 cummins. Thanks for the work you put into these videos, these new trucks are so expensive I will take my time doing proper research.
Great video as always. Informative. And, I greatly appreciate your focus on payload. We are cross shopping midsize and 1/2 ton trucks to tow a small camper and haul camping gear. The payload benchmark for me is 1500 lbs for a midsize and 1800 lbs for a 1/2 ton. None of these trucks, as shown, have sufficient payload. All a sharp. Even the Tradesman as shown exceeds my price limit unless heavily discounted. Trucks have truly surpassed luxury sedans as status symbols. Why would I ever want a $90K pickup truck with only 1,000 lbs of payload? I will continue to look at the Tradesman and Big Horn, but I suspect not enough payload and too much money! ;)
The Tradesman is a good value. I have 2017 Hemi Tradesman and its payload is 1,283 lbs vs 1,646 in this one. Plus that 8 in screen is the one I want anyways- it’s a good balance between physical knobs / buttons and screen.
The pricing is out of reality for a "worktruck" - It might be great but all modern trucks are out of affordability for most people and if you have to spend that much money for a worktruck it's no wonder that's inflation get's out of control. I don't need adaptive cruise control, lane assist or a 14" screen Less than ever a passenger display or digital cluster. Even a speedometer is only necessary to avoid speeding fines. If a manufactorer comes back to a basic level and offers a full size truck with a high payload under 35K USD / 50K CAD he will sell high numbers to companies and working people
Very good video 🙏 is weird how it changes in Mexico , I just ordered my larime Hemi and here is top of the line but weird in the USA non has the hemi and the larime has no panoramic roof
I had a Ram with those floor bins. I was crawling over some rocks and when the wheels came down off of a rock, it lowered the bin onto some other rocks. The bins crumpled like a soda can, puking out everything I had in them up into the floor of the back seat.
My first truck was a Tradesman Dodge B100 Van and it was a Slant 6, Ram has come full circle .Good lunch if you get problems needing an engine rebuild with that thing😂
My dream truck. I work in military security. Can't wait for my Rhino. And the price is ridiculously good compared to the tin can Ford trash. A whole new Level
Absolutely awesome job on your review. Still not a Ram fan, but you laid out some new reasons to become one..... at the end of the day I think Ram is going in the wrong direction pricing these trucks the way they do.
I find it silly that you can only get the high output i6 motor on limted/tungsten and RHO. You would think someone buying a tradesmen or bighorn perhaps would be actually using it for work and or towing and need the extra power for such use. But no, luxury options only, that will be there next big release in a year or two, high output option on lower trim levels.
I think that rams decision to kill of the hemi was wrong only because GM,Ford and even the Toyota still has a V8 option. yes i know that the Hurrricane makes more power but Ram could have developed a hemi to make over 500Hp if they wanted to.
Jury is still out on Hurricane motors. Hopefully, they’ll hold up as well as the V8s. Also hoping the airbags hold up over time. Concur with your comments on the Tungsten. RAM could have added a few more standard features, such as 2kw outlets, rear window shades, bed divider, etc.. Hmmm, wonder if they’ll have an EV or RAMCHARGER Tungsten trim level?
Clicked send too soon. Concur with many comments on the cost of today’s trucks. I may dream, but I’m still holding on to my overpriced 2015 RAM Laramie. 😕
Rather disappointed that there wasn't a Longhorn reviewed. The longhorn is the trim package I'm interested in, and every review so far Ram has skipped over the Longhorn package. There is a difference between it and the limited trim, and I wonder why Ram doesn't have it featured in any of the reviews I've seen so far.

All the trucks are absolutely built in standard features ,valuable information and good looks.
Isn’t the Limited a step up from the Laramie? I always looked at the Rebel as that off-road cousin lol
I will continue to look at the Tradesman and Big Horn, but I suspect not enough payload and too much money! ;)
83k for a mid trim. Stellantis isn't going to last much longer. The fully loaded Limited Longhorn sat in my dealers showroom in 2022 for that.
Is the eco diesel coming back?
Man I wish u had the Longhorn was really looking forward to seeing the seats from the web it looks different than previous year
The Tradesman is a good value. I have 2017 Hemi Tradesman and its payload is 1,283 lbs vs 1,646 in this one. Plus that 8 in screen is the one I want anyways- it’s a good balance between physical knobs / buttons and screen.
What’s funny is the lower half of the bigger screen is used for functions anyway. That’s why I also chose the smaller screen to have real buttons.
If a manufactorer comes back to a basic level and offers a full size truck with a high payload under 35K USD / 50K CAD he will sell high numbers to companies and working people
The Ram boxes are also ice chest on both sides. Look inside and you will the drain plug. Also it is set up to house a hunting rifle.
Great reviews. I love the looks of these trucks. However, the 24 Ford Ranger has a better payload than these Rams.
What happened to the RHO?
Where is replaced hellcat option at?
My dream truck. I work in military security. Can't wait for my Rhino. And the price is ridiculously good compared to the tin can Ford trash.
A whole new Level
Absolutely awesome job on your review. Still not a Ram fan, but you laid out some new reasons to become one..... at the end of the day I think Ram is going in the wrong direction pricing these trucks the way they do.
No warlock in canada yet? They announced it already
That's the same sport hood since the 5th gen first came out
These prices are insane! Who can afford these higher end models? Crazy!
Toyota don't have a v8 in there truck
The tradesmen Quad cab with the pentastar engine and a few efficient rear axle with the locking differential is fine for me
Excellent episode!!! 😁
Another great review Steve. Insane prices though!!
He did not mention it comes with adaptive cruise standard
Very good reviews!
What about the ram TRX?
Rather disappointed that there wasn't a Longhorn reviewed. The longhorn is the trim package I'm interested in, and every review so far Ram has skipped over the Longhorn package. There is a difference between it and the limited trim, and I wonder why Ram doesn't have it featured in any of the reviews I've seen so far.
BROTHER YOU ARE SO RIGHT BECAUSE THEY PUSHED EVERYTHING OUT ON US BUT THE LIMITED LONGHORN! THEY ARE MORE PUSHING THE TOP MODEL TUNGSTEN TRIM MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE! I SAID THE SAME THING CONCERNING THE LIMITED LONGHORN!
Prices are ridiculous. Glad I got my Longhorn when I did. Speaking of which, the Longhorn as I understand it, is actually above the Limited now, which is what I’ve been saying since 2020 when I bought mine. Great video though. But I would never pay today’s prices !
Longhorn was missed :( can't wait to see the RHO. Those are the two I'm considering so will be looking for those reviews
It would be great if the payload numbers matched, he said this truck is good for 1646 lbs but when showing the “truck as tested “ info the numbers it said 1900lb payload
Great segment TH !
I had to get rid of my 25. One problem after the next. They have way too many bugs the factory didn’t work out.
Cool trucks I have 2016 longhorn 4x4 and it’s been a great vehicle. I may go to the twin turbo .
Sticker prices are crazy ! Nice review .
Will the previous generation be offered as a new "Classic"?
I think the Classic will remain the 4th Gen.
@@ALMX5DP Will thier be a refreshed classic 4th gen?
@@ohioguy4326 doubtful, at least in any meaningful way. I think that's the beauty of the Classic in that it remains largely the same as it was back 4-6-10 years ago.
I like the Laramie, The Big Horn looks real good with the Red and black as well.
So no more Longhorn trim? I like the western/cowboy interior.
My very well optioned 2020 Ram 1500 LARAMIE 5.7 HEMI Crew Cab with the optioned SPORTS package was $65,000, and you're telling me the TRADESMAN with some okay options ig is almost $60,000??? Now that's crazzzy 😂
Honestly tradesman is just the name, as it has almost all the features your laramie offers with a better Powertrain.
@@sethmisaelhernandez5902 People don't understand... The tradesman has most of the features of a fully loaded truck did years ago and a MUCH better engine.
@luism8130 not hard to tell, but I guess it is to some people.
@sethmisaelhernandez5902 I agree to disagree. However, I do say most of us can agree that the prices of these new entry-level trucks are absurd, and the economy we're living in has made it difficult for many to obtain such vehicles. Yes, I understand we have inflation and a bit more standard options for these new entry-level trim levels, but $60,000 for a basemodel work truck is a bit steep.
@@ARojas15 I agree the price is very high.
Beautiful trucks
