It was such a pleasure watching Rodman play when I grew up. It was not unusual to see him play most of a game with 0pts, a few assists, and 20+ rebounds. His defense and sheer will on the court made him an animal.

Rodman was the nearly perfect complimentary player to Jordan. Worked as hard as MJ, especially in the playoffs. Rodman was arguably the Finals MVP of the Seattle series or at least the closest another Bull came to taking the finals MVP over Jordan.
After I got moved up a grade for an elementary BB team half the players wouldn't pass me the ball. No problem. I was in Michigan and Rodman was on the Pistons...I knew who to model my game after and it was a blast.
Rodmans offense is criminally underrated, he had stated that "Scoring is easy" and he DID make it look easy whenever he scored. Rodman may had accepted his role of being defense but his offense was enough to shock people.

Dennis made rebounding a science. He got to the top, by figuring out the most likely trajectory of a rebound from every other player on the court, and being there when it happened. Brilliant basketball mind. Nothing else mattered, and that made him one of the premier rebounders of his era. He was also the only NBA player to look good in a dress. I'm a PF in every game I play, of course ball hogs and other players don't appreciate the way I play, I like defense and rebounding so much because of Dennis Rodman, I can score a bit in the mid and I always wanted to do is literally fight for the ball with the big dudes. It isn't that strange. Some people stop growing really early too. I went from 5'11 - 6'5" my freshman year in high school and stopped growing at like 14-15. I was expecting to be like 6'8 or 6'9" with my growth rate for my remaining teens. It just didn't happen lmao

Dennis was awesome man. I know he had his issues but I really feel like he was doing the best he could underneath the heavy circumstances he found himself under.
Dennis is the NBA player I would most like to have a dinner and drinks with, and just listen to the man talk. I can't place it perfectly, but it feels like he has such an amazingly huge heart and love for his fellow man, but he just feels so achingly alone.

Rodman was the nearly perfect complimentary player to Jordan. Worked as hard as MJ, especially in the playoffs. Rodman was arguably the Finals MVP of the Seattle series or at least the closest another Bull came to taking the finals MVP over Jordan.
After I got moved up a grade for an elementary BB team half the players wouldn't pass me the ball. No problem. I was in Michigan and Rodman was on the Pistons...I knew who to model my game after and it was a blast.
Sadly, in today's game, he'd be fouled out by the first half.

Rodmans offense is criminally underrated, he had stated that "Scoring is easy" and he DID make it look easy whenever he scored. Rodman may had accepted his role of being defense but his offense was enough to shock people.
Back before he quit even trying to score, Rodman ran the fast break quite well for the Pistons.
Rodman is a genuine legend and undoubtedly belongs in the hall of fame.
Every championship team NEEDS a defensive specialist. He's my GOAT for that role. Sorry Bill, its just imo.

One of the greatest rebounders and defenders. He won 7 straight rebounding titles (Bill Russell and Wilt Chamberlain never did that feat) . He also won 5 titles with the Pistons (Joe Dumars and Isiah Thomas) and Bulls (Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen) .
Wilt and russel would have 13 straight rebounding titles if one of them played in another era so they didnt have to compete againist eachother and rodman was never the best player on his the rings that he won

Dennis made rebounding a science. He got to the top, by figuring out the most likely trajectory of a rebound from every other player on the court, and being there when it happened. Brilliant basketball mind. Nothing else mattered, and that made him one of the premier rebounders of his era. He was also the only NBA player to look good in a dress. There should be a trophy for that.
Imagine dominating the rebound in the time when big legends like Shaq Ewing Motumbo and Robinson plays while only standing at 6,7.
I'm a PF in every game I play, of course ball hogs and other players don't appreciate the way I play, I like defense and rebounding so much because of Dennis Rodman, I can score a bit in the mid and I always wanted to do is literally fight for the ball with the big dudes. I feel like I'm in my element when it comes to that.
