    Not a clutch player?
Most 3 pts winning buzzer-beaters in NBA history with 5.
Most 3 pts to tie or take the lead in the last 10 sec (since 1996) with 20.
2nd most Game winning or game-tying shot in the last 10 sec (since 1996) with 31 (behind Kobe with 39).

How good was VC? See how he stacks up vs other legends:

    TMAC: 34 ppg 9 rpg 7 apg .44 FG% .34 3PT%

    KYRIE: 34 ppg 6 rpg 9 apg .47 FG% .39 3PT%
In my eyes, Vince Carter was the Dominique Wilkins of his generation:
Both were incredibly deadly scorers known for their dunking
    Both scored 25,000+ points
Both made at least 8 star teams
Both only won 3 Playoff Series in their prime years & never made long playoff runs
Both were left off of NBA Anniversary teams when many felt they should've made the cut

The greatest dunker of all-time without any doubt and one of my favorite players ever. If he had the motivation to play harder, I think Vince might've had more accolades other than his All-Star appearances. Nevertheless he had the longevity under his belt and his record-setting 22 seasons speaks for itself.

Vince Carter was known as Vinsanity, Air Canada, Half-Man/Half-Amazing, which he career spanned to playing in the NBA for 22 seasons. He primarily played as a shooting guard, but he was versatile enough to contribute as a small forward and even a power forward at times. He won a Slam Dunk Content during his time at the All-Star Game. He was a 8-time NBA All-Star and Rookie of the Year. He also was known as his electrifying dunks, clutch performances, and longevity in the league left an indelible mark on basketball history. Whether he was soaring through the air or hitting crucial shots, Vince was a true entertainer and a fan favorite. His legacy remains an ironic figure in the world of basketball.🏀🏀🏀🏀

Maybe he made peace with himself and enjoyed the latter stage of his career? Maybe he is content and happy with what he acomplished and he is happy about his journey? I mean, look at MJ. Does he seem happy to you these days, or any days as a matter of fact besides the days he won the championships? Tough to judge just from the videos on YT and medias as such.

It just didn't work out and we honestly did not have the right personal at the time to keep him and there really is a lot more going with his relationship with Canada in general.

I’ve been saying this since two seasons into his NJN run, Carter had potential to be a better player than Jordan but Carter stopped Carter from achieving that.
Vince Carter is probably the most athletic talent to ever play on the hardwood , he was capable of doing what he did, with no discipline or drive to win. The only thing that separated him from MJ or even Kobe, was the will to win and the competitive instinct.
What’s actually scary to think about, is thru out Carters entire career, he was playing on 50%. Can you imagine if he possessed Jordan’s desire to actually win?

I do not agree with your opinions that Vince Carter didn't care about basketball, training hard enough, or his Toronto team. Those are just bogus rumors. He's made it clear time and time again that he loves Toronto, and he would not disrespect the game of basketball, because the game has been so good to him. His own words. Go watch interviews of him. He is a true blue guy. I'm a Knicks fan, but I'm actually a huge fan of him too. It hurts that you actually think these things about him. Even most Raptors fans have forgiven him by now, as you've mentioned. 😑🥺

Vince was the perfect dunker in the way he ran, his jumping power, his body balance in the air, the size of his palms, the swing of his arms, the trajectory of the ball, and his post-landing behavior.
Vince's greatness is that he can change his playing style each time, considering the team situation and age, and achieve the best results in the given position.

Well.. that's a bunch of superficial opinions backed by some ill advised quotes and professional editing.
First of all, Vince suffered early from one of the worst injuries a basketball player can suffer.
Second of all, Vince was super clutch through out his entire career.. Having one of the best records for winning shots, some of which in crucial games, and some even late in his career.
Third of all, Vince was much more than just a great drunker, but also an outstanding teammate and a human being off court, a great all around player and certainly was more exciting than LeBron ever be.
The fact that this movie and like of which are still running, solely point on exciting he was to watch and how many NBA fans still miss him and other stars from his generation.
No other player since can blow your mind like he did almost daily.

Only 22pts per game??? To score 1000 points you only need to average 11.6 points per game. I feel Vince went through what Gianni is going through. "What we expect" is not on him...its on us. He was great!

A saxophone scholarship 🤣 My AOL screen name when I was 10 was based on Vince Carter. His black and purple Raptors jersey was the sickest jersey ever.

Imagine a freakishly athletic Carmelo Anthony, but who isn't a dickhead. And during his years as a star, he had an off-switch that Randy Moss could admire. That was Vince. We all expected much more out of his career, but we never got it.
I think he was a guy who never really wanted to be THE guy. He was probably better off as an elite second-option in his prime. The fact that he turned around his career near the end and became the consummate teammate and professional really saved his legacy. He's beloved now, but that wasn't always the case.

That’s the difference between kobe and the rest of his peers like Allen and Vince. They were more gifted and naturally talented than Kobe, but Kobe had the mamba mentality. Dude worked harder than all of them and was a mad man like MJ

yall realize the media were calling vince the next jordan right? insanely athletic guard out of unc, i mean it’s right there. bro was not obsessed with winning, was honestly kinda soft and eventually straight up quit on the team that drafted him. and nobody wants to say it but the end of his career was kinda embarrassing, dude could have retired before he got to memphis he was done
