Glad to have you back buddy! Yeah it's been a tough couple of years but we are not settled at our new Freedom Ranch in the Missouri Ozarks!! Goodbye Illinois.. Happy New year!
You should look up growing deer tv. Grant woods has a lot of good discussions on food plot farming in the ozarks. Especially in rocky areas that is usually typically in the ozarks.
Maybe someday.. But we'll have our hands full for years, but working on the land is generally always a blessing, even though it can be hard work. Thanks
Beautiful property. I know you can’t wait to get settled and put your equipment and expertise to work. Looking forward to future videos and the transformation!!
Thank you! Yeah this waiting and now early moving phase is kind of a drag! But one step at a time! We should have a dumpster at the new place waiting for us!
Congrats on your slice of heaven there in MO! You and Sharon are on a awesome adventure. I have a hat just like yours, 20+ years active then 20+ years with a utility co. here in Iowa. My better half and I are sort of looking for 50 - 75 acre homesteads roughly in the same vicinity, around FLW or slightly Northeast? Never know we could someday be future neighbors.
So excited for yall I know yall are ready to get moved in and start working on and enjoying the land. Since the chapter is closing on your Illinois farm it would be cool for you talk about the land projects that you did that didn't work out or like you thought they would or what you would have done different knowing what you know now.
Most excellent point! I have started today doing 'look backs' on our IL farm as we are packing and loading, looking at all the projects we did here. So yes, that is a great idea we'll definitely incorporate that experience. We will have a decent heard start after decades of each doing land management. Thanks!
Welcome to Missouri Kapper ! We made the move from northern Illinois 2 1/2 years ago. We are south of st Louis about a hour. Doing the same as you foodploting and hunting. Welcome !
Thanks, and yeah, the more I see the better I like it too. Man, I haven't even set foot on most of it yet! But that's half the fun! Exploring NEW ground!!
Congratulations!!! Really glad you got the whole thing and can divide it how you want too!! Really hope the deer size and population is there for you…. Looking forward to all the content improvements content forth coming!! 🔥🔥👍👍✅✅
When I loaded up my trailer I put the forks on the tractor and set the bucket on top. In the back I had the box blade hooked to the tractor. I had also bolted a cultivar to the box blade and thought I had the tractor far enough because I drove about a mile and realized too much sway. Pulled in to a large parking lot unchained the tractor and pulled up farther. I wish I would have thought about putting my forks on like you did!
Can't wait! It will be overwhelming at times, but I'll just keep chipping away like I always do! One small mission at a time!! The waiting game is getting old though!! But soon!!! Thanks
Seeing your place on Google Earth makes me envious of the property you now own and that of your neighbors. Welcome to Missouri!!! Best decision you could have made by leaving Illinois.
Thank you! It is stunning there's no doubt about that! It will be sad if/when we have to sell some, but we'll still keep a lot more than we've ever had! Beautiful little slice of heaven down there! Thanks
And so it begins again--again. One thing for sure, if you can keep all this property in showcase condition with your health issues, you will definitely impress the heck out of me!!!
welcome too Missouri. i see you are a gulf war vet also .so am i not many of us in my area that was in the gulf war .im southeast of your new farm im delta force 11b 129th us army
Hoorah! Thanks for your service! yeah we were kind of in the 'lost war' since it was relatively short so it was kind of forgotten. You might have to come visit! Thanks
Kapper, the man afraid of a mouse loving snakes. I left that out so Sharon would not of seen it. How about a video of how Sharon is preparing her end of the move. It be cool to she her grocery shopping to stock the place up and her priorities for the move.
Kap, been off YT less these past few years. Use to be an avid follower. Catching up on your new adventures. Great to see you still going at it.
Glad to have you back buddy! Yeah it's been a tough couple of years but we are not settled at our new Freedom Ranch in the Missouri Ozarks!! Goodbye Illinois.. Happy New year!

Maybe someday.. But we'll have our hands full for years, but working on the land is generally always a blessing, even though it can be hard work. Thanks
Happy for you guys! Pray all your tests come out good. Will be exciting to see how you transform the place. AWESOME ❤
Thank you! While daunting it is pretty exciting! Oh, except starting JUL 1 when both first payments are due! :) But hey, that's what we signed up for!
Beautiful property. I know you can’t wait to get settled and put your equipment and expertise to work. Looking forward to future videos and the transformation!!

Awesome, thanks for your service to this Nation! What is FLW? Are you meaning like the MO area we are, or elsewhere? Thanks
@@KapperOutdoors2.0 Fort Leonard Wood Army Base/Post not to far away from your area.

Awesome man! Thank you! Best of luck with your adventures! Sounds like we are likely a couple hours apart. Do you have any big deer yet?
I did get a dbl drop tine a year ago.
Excited for yas... Beautiful piece of Earth right there.
Yes no doubt! It will be sad to have to sell some, but we'll still keep the most land we've ever had, so it will still be an amazing farm! Thanks
Can't wait for all of the new adventures!
Me too, this waiting game has been taking a toll on me!!
Congratulations on the first step of many to a new chapter 💪👌
Thank you so much 😀
That's one heck of land 🎉
Yes it sure is! Wow! Never had such a chunk of land like this!! Thanks
Big congratulations! The more I see of the place the more I like it. Great to meet a likeminded local right off the bat. You’re gonna fit right in.
Thanks, and yeah, the more I see the better I like it too. Man, I haven't even set foot on most of it yet! But that's half the fun! Exploring NEW ground!!
I live in the middle of 500acers in NW Arkansas everyone straps around me. Nice going. Keep the Black Snakes they chase out the bad ones.
Congratulations!!! Really glad you got the whole thing and can divide it how you want too!! Really hope the deer size and population is there for you…. Looking forward to all the content improvements content forth coming!! 🔥🔥👍👍✅✅
I hope so too! But I feel like we are going to be pleasantly surprised!! Thanks

Man very excellent that you shifted it instead of continuing! That rear sway is bad stuff! Hauling equipment is like Jenga! LOL
cant wait to see some massive corn and bean fields
I hope I can get after it pretty soon! Might have to wait til fall plots depending on how things go!
So exciting!!! This will be epic!!! Can’t wait to see how you transform the new place, Kapper!!!!

Yeah well I'll do as I always have.. Just do what I can, as I can and try to have some fun along the way! One hour at a time!
Sounds like the new neighbour could be your twin, ha ha!
lol no doubt! Small world!
welcome too Missouri. i see you are a gulf war vet also .so am i not many of us in my area that was in the gulf war .im southeast of your new farm im delta force 11b 129th us army
Hoorah! Thanks for your service! yeah we were kind of in the 'lost war' since it was relatively short so it was kind of forgotten. You might have to come visit! Thanks
With neighbours like that with properties the size they have, you should have pretty much all of the privacy you want.
Yes sir that is a fact!! Things are really looking up! Thank you
You can never go wrong owning land cause they ain’t makin anymore of it.
Thats for sure! I don't trust the stock market much, so I'd rather have most of our money in land! At least it's something I know about! Thanks
Hello joe, I’m on vacation, just saying, and it’s to wet here for my little food plot just saying.
Food and fuel, no $ per hour ,
I'd love to take advantage of that. We are really kind of winging it. How long you on vaca?
Kapper, the man afraid of a mouse loving snakes. I left that out so Sharon would not of seen it. How about a video of how Sharon is preparing her end of the move. It be cool to she her grocery shopping to stock the place up and her priorities for the move.
I'll try to get her to vlog some more! Yeah I hate them dang mice!! And they are in the house too so we'll do an all out assault!!!
1 load down...... several hundred to go.... lol 😂😂😂
Oh yeah, no doubt!! LOL That's why I don't look too far ahead! Just one small mission at a time!
Bet your taxes are cheaper than IL, probably even cheaper than mine in Jefferson County.
Oh yes, they are literally like 1/4th or 1/5th!! With a bigger home and way more land!
What kind of snakes. are on the property?
Rattlesnakes, copperheads, possible cotton mouths.. And a bunch of non venemous snakes to boot.
@@KapperOutdoors2.0 Did you have those in Illinois?
575 in Missouri cost millions.
No joke it's really getting up there in price!!
Was that a black rat snake?
I think so. Or a black snake. Not sure the difference.
Why in hell would you already consider selling land you just purchased ?
Sometimes you do what you have to do to get the land that you want, and that might include selling a part of it.
The future's so bright, I gotta wear shades. But you aren't a nuclear scientist ( or are you?), and 50 k a year won't buy as much beer.
Nope, not a Nuke scientist! lol I prefer whisky anyways :)
