Beautiful! Be well, keep up the good work!
Thanks Bruce.
Looking awesome Leon! This looks to be a great way to get into ACW, I love the epic look. Thanks for sharing
Thanks Dan. It’s when you start to get a few regiments done that they really come into their own
Excellent looks like we have the same amount painted over the same period of time! The basing has improved them 100%
Lol, we’ll both have to try and knuckle down and get a few more done over the next two years hahaha
@@leont66wargaming31 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Thanks mate
Fantastic work!
Thanks mate
Great work!
Thanks buddy
Seeing the bases I’m really thinking of doing the same I really like how it looks
Thanks Chris. Yep the new bases have really inspired me to get this project going again.
Fabulous basing. Would love to see a tutorial on how to do them.
Thanks buddy. I’ll get round to doing a tutorial in the next couple of weeks
Beautiful Leon! These little chaps pop up everywhere don't they? Quick change routine lol. Very nice. Just got back to France after 3 weeks in the UK, very glad to be home. Can't wait to get painting again, but the dust of the Veldt is calling lol. I'm going to have to do yet another side project, second Boar War. Only choice is what scale. I might revert back to 1/72 for that. Again nice job on these. I still have some 28mm ACW left to finish, but i must have a couple of hundred of each side painted by now. Still i have a few Sudan figures left to finish.
Thanks buddy. I thought you was off to South Africa when I started reading the comment lol. It’s nice to get away but always nicer to go home.
@@leont66wargaming31 😃 yes i was over dramatic lol, but you know what its like. Cheers leon!
Very Grand work indeed m8.
Cheers mate
These are looking great Leon, nice to see you going back to them and I look forward to seeing your Confederates. Take care buddy.
Thanks Lee. Taking a bit more time with the Confederate troops, felt they needed a bit more highlighting
Very nice figures mate
Thanks mate
Nicly done Leon!
Thanks buddy 😊
Awesome!
Thanks buddy
lookin good.. I did have to put my BIG specs on, but still lookin good. ;)
Lol. Thanks mate
great work leon , i couldn't be bothered to do this scale lol
Thanks buddy. Lol. I do question my own sanity at times
Great work mate ❤
Thanks mate 😊
very nice indead! I have had my intial starter box + a "few" extra for a few years now, only managed to paint upp a few brigades. Apart from a great looking brigade, i really love your bases. I won't be copying it, but i still love the result. For 20th maine, the other movie is Gods and Generals, sadly not that great, but still watchable.
Thanks buddy. I had mine for ages before I made some progress with it.
Ah yes I’ve watched that movie
@@leont66wargaming31 well an update, i spray painted 15 sprues with Grey Seer, and then washed them with nuln oil. After that a quick drybrush with grey seer. Now the straps, bedrolls and other detail await. It was way faster than i expected before hand.
My plan now is to not go in and paint some trousers, hats or shirts in a different color, just focus on the straps, belts, faces and hands. So that every strip of infantry uniform is "confederate grey". After that stage is done, i will start to add some alternate colors to the hats and trousers.
Gettysburg and Gods and Generals was both directed by Ronald Maxwell, lets just say that Gettysburg was his best historical movie. =)
@Brissebrajan nicely done. Sounds like a good plan on the painting front.
They look great!
I have some free frames so I have to dip brush into paint and give it a try.
I also want to play Fire and Fury Brigade where the bases are 1” wide And Fire and Fury Regimental with the same size bases.
Actually they are 2 figures wide and 2 ranks deep so splitting into 2 figures wide would be better but that would give a 3 Bases x 2 ranks deep regiment but it wouldn’t look right so 4 or 5 wide would be best .
Have you done a video showing split bases for ACW ?
Thanks mate. I haven’t split the ACW only the Napoleonic.
They should split easily enough. I’d go with splitting them in 5’s
Quality stuff mate!
Thanks mate
They are superb mate, very nicely painted
Cheers Justin
Epic
Thanks mate
They look great. The bases are really nice too. Those flower tufts really make a difference
Thanks mate. I always find a few flowers really add an extra dimension to the basing
God's and Generals is the other book/film in the series.
Lol. Yep, remembered the title about 2 minutes uploading the video lol. Typical
@@leont66wargaming31 c'est la vie! 👍
But thanks anyway lol. Would of driven me mad if I couldn’t of remembered it 😆
I like the new basing. Was that taken from epic ECW? Did they change something in the new release?
Thanks mate. No nothing changed, I just decided to make the bases a bit more scenic by gluing 2 together.
stipes on the legs free hand at this scale??? Flowers, bushes, rocks, and grass are you trying to show us just how lazy we've all been?
Hahaha, it’s all about that base
Well done leon 👏 did you get the strong tone wash
Thanks Kev. Yes I’ve got some now. Haven’t used it yet though. 🤞
