Sky valley is an awesome record with some great songs on it. Kyuss in general were amazing. But my favourites are blues for the red sun and sky valkey and circus leaves town. Hey, its awesome! I got into Kyuss only recently but i got introduced to them by tool and rn im trying to learn Demon Cleaner in drop D like Adam Jones played it :) Definately thats my biggest guitar pain, all those songs and bands using different tunings making you constantly change the one you have at the time. I tried to get into qotsa but never got me unlike Kyuss. Good to see you again!
Thank you! Kyuss is awesome and yep, Josh is all about that C standard tuning I guess. For me it's actually the other way around, Kyuss was my gateway to QotSA, but I obviously enjoy both bands very much 🤘
Biggest thing for me is that scott on bass surpassed nick and sounded a better fit musically. Kinda like justin and paul from tool both great in their own right but i prefer justins bass as i prefer scotts. Ive always wanted to learn whitewater its some of their best work. If you have the notion too id love a whitewater tutorial. Im sure many others would too. Many thanks for the hard work.

adam jones played it in c standard with a drop A# or A, or whatever the equivalent of drop d is in c standard, super heavy, a guy does a great cover on youtube forget his name

How did you got that perfect tone? Pedal and amp configs ( mid, bass, and treble) can you tell me? Im trying to get a nice tone for kyuss but with no sucess
Thanks Gabriel! Using the neck pickup definitely helps, but a Tele would be a better fit than a Les Paul. Not too much on the gain, not too much bass. Hope that helps :)

what gauge strings are you using? Some other epic Kyuss tunes that are awesome fun to play: Thumb, One Inch Man, Whitewater, Green Machine, Odyssey
10-52, but should probably use thicker ones for Kyuss. Whitewater is definitely on my list :)

Hi, amazing video! I love kyuss, It will help me learn the song. I have one question though (i am kind of a noob about this things as i learned how to play by myself). My guitar is currently tuned in E standard and whenever i try to get it down to C it just wont stay there, every string constantly falls out of tune, is this common? How can i solve it? I have high gauge strings so they should be good for C tuning...
How high gauge are we talking here? C standard is 4 semitones below standard, 11s or 12s are the thinnest you can probably get away with (I use 10s and it's pretty challenging just with the low string in Drop C).
What software are you using for the tablature?

Was für Saiten benutzt du für Kyuss-Tuning?
Hier habe ich einfach auch die 10-52er Saiten verwendet, also sind die tiefen dicker und die hohen dünner. Ich denke 12er Saiten wären aber am besten hierfür :)

Interesting to see that the tempo continuously fluctuates between measures. Presumably a result of recording live to the drums rather than a metronome. Certainly worked out given how fucking groovy this song is.
