    Hira - unlike other videos, yours are succinct, to the point, and have a nice informal setting. I have seen only 3 videos thus far and they have all been outstanding. Keep them coming!!

    Yes you made a clear point matching job description to your skill sets and saying these are my core competencies and i'm very good at it. Another way looking at it. Analyzing very basic reason what all the problems will the Team face if this position doesn't exist. and say how you can solve the problem become a value addition to the team. Well done.!

I thank the good Lord for your videos. You don't know how rewarding it is to find you, and your simple explanations as opposed to these people that ramble on and on, and I'm like, really?

  • @daveypooh
    @daveypooh 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Great refresher's course for me. However, never say "I think" or "I feel". Instead say, "I am confident". Also, too many "ums". Practice what you are going to say before speaking.

    • @careerly
      @careerly  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That depends. Hira probably would not use the phrase " I am confident" because it's redundant, it's very clear that she is, so she pars that with softer language.
      Additional we recommend NOT to memorize or script what you're going to say; instead, make it as close to real-life as possible. But consult other sources on this! We say this because we're training our candidates not to perfectly rote answer X or Y question but rather to learn how to handle these types of questions.

    I once applied for a job
    they asked me this question
    and I jokingly said
    "because you are hiring that why you should hire me"
    they laughed, I laughed, the laughter in the room intensified
    and somehow they accepted me
    oh hell yeahh!!!!

    what if there are like 10 required skills on the job description?

    • @terribletanner805
      @terribletanner805 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Basically, if they want you to do *that* much, simply state: "Whether or not I am happy to work six hours unpaid overtime every single day, I will do it. Whether or not I am happy to forsake all family time, career aspirations, relationships, and hobbies and interests for this job, I will do it." - Because that's exactly what will be happening.
