thanks mate, this is running a scorpion motor 90 castle, mate i have 3-500 a few 450,700.. 550.-- this problem i havnt had with any of the trex models, this thing was running so well , i flew it head on into a tree at full speed, the heli disintegrated into a pile the batteries buried up to the cables, best crash the you tube community would of loved this one, lol, anyway repaired the thing fully ,,ran great for about 4 flights then the gear stripping started, i had replaced everything, im at a complete loss on this problem,, i will try again, have to say im loosing patience lol thanx mate from australia keep up the vids mate, love your vids cheers wilfred
My soul, i almost fell off my bed, when you said a lot of guys with brand new 550e have vibrating. This is me, brand new, first spin up, vibrate, this is how i got to your video. My gyro gain is at 30%. I will take it up to 65% and C what happens.
Sometimes people think there gyro is bad and all they need to do is put more dampening pads under it to get rid of all vibration, some gyros are way to sensative,nice video Ray.
Hi mate,I have the same problem,with my trex 500.in HH dropped it to 60% still a little tail wag from side to side,how far can I drop it down?i know if I drop it to low it will be in rate mode at 50% which I don't won't.it spools up fine,then when I take it into hover you can see it wag from side to side about 2 inch each way.ive replaced everything what you said in the video,tail tube main shaft,new tail rotor,new servo ds525,gyro gp780.its flybar,cheers Chris
Trure, crashes may result in bent tail shafts, but harsh vibration in the tail case is not always due to a bent shaft. Thais the issue I'm currently dealing with but can't find out what is causing it on my 450
While we are on the subject of problems...my Trex (450 se) is waging its tail..alot! its belt driven, I checked the slack and it seems ok, iv checked the gyro and its about 64. The waging is very wide.! not fast but very wide, but goes faster when given more throttle..Im lost to what it might be. I havnt crashed it, just lost a screw in the tail and it was like that when I fixed it afterwards?! any suggestions?
Maybe a bit off topic but possibly you can assist. In hover and normal straight and level flight my 550E is vibration free but as soon as I apply a slight left or right bank at a somewhat faster forward speed, the machine develops a high speed vibration that I notice in the skid gear vibrating rapidly. I have checked the tail rotor and main rotor shaft for straightness (Perfect) Blade tracking is spot on. Balanced both Main and tail rotor blades to microscopic accuracy. The vibration is also somewhat intermittent as I don't always notice it. What am I missing here? Thanks in advance.
+Rob Davidowitz I would double check how the flybarless unit is installed and mounted ,that sounds like the root of the problem. I would relocate and remount the unit with some new mounting tape sounds like its picking up vibration
Nice video, i think my tailkick to the right comes from to low headspeed and to much pitch. I will try a straight throttle curve like 0-80-80-80-80 or try higher. Thanks.
Ok I have my brand new 470 dominator running with ikon 2. I have moved the gain all around but cant seem to get rid of tail wagging, however it doesn't happen when I am in normal mode. However when I have my head speed up at flat 75 percent with governor the tail wobbles very noticeably. Any tips?
I am having a tail issue with my 450, all is smooth and locked in when I am easy on the throttle/pitch but if I shove it forward the tail shakes REALLY bad. Any ideas? Can't seem to find anything related specifically about my issue.
carbon tail push rood cause a lot of vibration,,tracking blades,balance blades tail and main,,dampers,mean bearings,torque tube bearings,motor bearings,,all that things make vibration my friend,,good job
I will try the tail spindle but cud never get the tail to stop wagging on the 450L with version 4.0 3gx. did u face any issues with the same hell. Thx for the video

mate what is causing the front tourque tube gears to keep stripping on my 550 trex this has happened 3 times in a row, first was the round gear then the cone gear, could the touque tube itself be causing this problem, im so over this issue lol
Wilfred Firley that kept happening to my buddys 550 also i think its just got to much power and thats was causes it to strip out. my friend kept striping his main gear out.only option is lowering head speed and taking it easier or try to find a after market gear which i don't know if they exist .
Ok so I pulled apart the rotor head and tail, re assembled and lubricated the bearings. And now the tail wag is almost completely gone. Every now and then it has a very slight shiver, is that ok?

My tips: 1.) Rebuild the tail. Careful with rudder linkage parts. Rule out bad assembly. 2.) Even though they look straight replace tail boom, tail shaft, TT bearings, tail blades. If not the real cause u got spares. 3.) Swap Gyro or 3 axis gyro unit from a friends heli. Rule out setup & gyro response & mounting causes. 4.) Still a problem? a.) if you're a rookie go watch helifreaks video(what's that?) 99% you missed something. b.) If you're experienced good look keep looking.
The tip about the headspeed helped me out a lot. 10 years later still helping lol

The higher the headspeed the lower the transmitter gain has to be .and also different transmitters need different gain adjustments setting
@@nitrokyosho transmitter gain did not seem to make a difference, one time I had the transmitter gain all the way down at 20, I still had the problem.

sounds like a gyro gain and throttle curve issue .is it flybarless and what brand is it also has it been recently crashed

try lowering the gyro gain a little at a time if that does not fix it you could have damaged the gyro in a crash

Yes also you can try dropping the tx gain slightly

On Blade 500x loosen the 2 vertical tail fin screws 1/2 turn ! Vibrations will be 80% resolved !
change the bearings in your tail grips

I not have this problem I get all most up to 1/2 throttle & it cums up on one side of the skids then stuffs the blades in in to the ground
Sounds like your setup is not right ,are you running a beast x fly barless unit,I can help but I need more info on your set up
