    No one,and I mean that no one I have ever spoken with has explained this problem better than you do! As a Rookie that can't even build a Helicopter yet,you give me knowledge,possibilities and even more hope for learning the intricate operation's of the Radio controlled Helicopter! Most people that I know of that do know Helicopter's are extremely stingy,and hateful of helping other's! And the biggest shame is that these Guy's own Hobby Shop's in my area! I would have thought at first that they would want to educate their new customer's,and make it easier for them to come back to make more purchases,not here in Toledo! They are more "Buddy Boy Oriented!" Thank You!

    I don't care what your background music is. As a matter of fact,that's what caught my attention when I started watching your videos 3 years ago. I have 2 T-Rex 450's,and recently replaced the tail rotor sliding mechanism on both of them. One is plastic,and the other one is metal. When I test hovered both of them in the house,both of them had the exact same problem. I suspected that the tail mechanisms were too tight,and you just confirmed it! Thank you sir!

    Dude! I'm a novice flyer; I've had several helis but never got past sports flying. After a 4 year lay away I just bought a TREX 500L Dominator, BeastX. Only three hovers so far and I have tail wag. Your video caused me to go look at the tail and... a) binding in the tail linkages, but, b) *more importantly* one of the screws almost backed out. I was going to fly this tomorrow and while I would have done a basic pre-flight and control check I am sure I *would* have missed this. You sir, saved my heli. Thank you. I will be more diligent in future. Oh, and I still have a little binding at the extremes of movement, but not nearly so much. And yes, metal grips, screws, loctite and I'll need it, because I sure can't tighten the screws right up without binding.

    Wow, I gotta get some Choppers from Align. I love your Nitro Chopper 600. I gotta get me a Nitro. I have Nitro Cars, but it's Choppers I really love. I have just gotten an offer to buy an older Nitro Chopper I not could refuse, fully assembled and only flown a few times, not even enough to break it in. I got it for a mere 800 USD, can you believe it and it flies like a dream. I would never have the patience to sit and build all from the bottom, even I learn more and more as I go. The other day I smacked my Swashplate and a lot broke and had to build a new top out of another destroyed model I use for spare parts(same model ofc). And it now flies like new again, actually even a bit better as I tracked the Rotors well, which removed the very little Tail-swag I experienced. Amazing. I did not think I could do it, but I still would never build my own Chopper, I would pay some to do it and many do this for money :) Thx for the video, Freddy:). But I will learn down the road. For me it's NOT the assembly there give me any kicks :) It's flying them :) ALL you ever could produce of questions, the answers are here.

    Just a quick question for you about tail wag took my helicopter out to today first 5 minutes fly flying no problems then all of a sudden started to get lots of tail wag landed did some checks change the battery started flying again no problems but about 2 minutes later very bad tail wag have you any ideas why this would stop and start. And thanks for the video on collective free hovering very useful.

So I just changed out some damaged parts etc.etc. on my xlp 550, I did not replace or unplug any servos or anything like that,but I was surprised that on trying to lift off on a first,second and even a third test flight the heli wanted to yaw nose left I mean badly, without any inputs, well right rudder just to prevent it from tipping over,a friend was telling me that I would have to reset the travel limits on the flybarless unit ( microbeast plus) is whats on my heli, I'm new to this, how do I go about doing this bud ???

    what about a tail kick to the right? tail compensation for torque in the fbl unit? Or revomix? would a straight throttle curve work better, instead of a smooth line up?

    • @33forsaken
      @33forsaken  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It will all depend on the programming in the FBL. Each system has different setting and yes in most cases these days with GOV build in flat curves are used more then linear ones. But always take in mind between mixing gyro gain and the load on the main rotor you can get tail kicks. So you have to pay attention to the Heli and make your adjustments as needed.

    Tried everything. The only thing I found was some tail sloppiness, but it seems that the actual horn can move slightly without the servo moving. I dont want to buy a new pushrod as I've already wasted way to much money on new parts trying to fix the damn thing. At this point I think Ill just start working towards a new heli.

    My Align 70A ESC was set at, Brake-low, Electronic Timing-high timing, Battery Protection-Middle cutoff voltage, Aircraft-Helicopter 2 (soft start governor Mode), Throttle response speed-Quick speed. It seems two were wrong, Electronic Timing should have been mid timing and Aircraft should have been Helicopter 1 soft start. Do you think these two could have made the battery cut off, My Battery Protection was at Middle cutoff? Thanks for the help, now i know how to set my ESC!

    6:50 - The tail slider is suppose to be smooth enough that it slides down under its own weight without the need to tap the tail slider arm. It shouldn't stay in place at the top.

    hey freddy, i have a trex 450 pro (flybar) with a futaba gy401 gyro and a hitec 5084 tail servo. im not having any tail wag but when i punch the throttle the tail will kick out or if im flipping it over or doing sudden pitch changes like tic tocs. my throttle curve is 100 flat my gyro gain is at 69.5 and it piourettes fine and comes to a dead stop but when the sudden pitch change happens the tail will kick out on me. after watching this video i made sure my mechanics were setup right and electronics i watched many videos on setting up the gyro and made sure i got it right. could you please help me with this problem?

    • @33forsaken
      @33forsaken  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      hey buddy. it sounds like the kick is coming from load on the heli. think of it like this... hovering doing piros there is really not much load on the main rotor. so the tail is free to lock. but when you do hard collective the load becomes to great and that results in the tail slowing down as well and a sudden speed up once the load is released. i would reccomend making a V curve to compensate for the load and keep the tail and main rotor rpms more consistent. this should relieve the kicks but also be sure you setup is correct as well. good luck

    Hay Freddy another great video dude ....... Can you help me please ....... i have a new blade 330s and i have had a tail wobble from out the box i have just ordered blade balancer and scales ...... But i have noticed the tail servo moves [creaps] to the left so I tried to stop that by adjusting the trim on the transmitter ...... But if i move the trim 3 clicks it starts to go the other way ...... Any ideas ...... james from england

    • @33forsaken
      @33forsaken  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Please forgive me one this one but is the 330S a flybarless system?. If so adding sub trims will usually cause odd behavior. In most cases it sounds like a gyro error or gain issue. But in all attempts try to completed the correct setup using no radio trims if possible.

  • @33gate1
    @33gate1 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi, i have a new trex 550e v2. The tail servo works on the ground, every thing on my transmitter is set the way i like. Then when i fly, the servo hardly moves the tail. The gyro holds the tail nice and still, it just does not want to turn left or right. Change gyro, and the same thing. On the ground it moves fast, left and right. Hover, it almost does not turn full stick left and full stick right. Its brand new helicopter. The tail, grips, and rod moves like butter, no binding.You know this?

  • @33gate1
    @33gate1 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Set my travel left and right to 100%, and its turning like it should. I have one more Q. I have a brand new Zippy 6s 4000mAh battery. When i fly, i only get one and a half min out of the battery. Then it stops. When i charge it, it takes about 40 min, then its full. Then just one and a half min of fly. No puffing, new, and all the sells charges full on the charger. Its a 20c battery. Do you know why this is happening? Thanks for the tail reply.

    Freddy help me please,I just installed a spektrum fc6250hx fbl controller on my heli,and everything set bang on with my transmitter, however when it's powered up.on bench the tail slowly creeps to one side ,why is this,it compensates fine when I move the heli both sides ,it just creeps to one side

    • @33forsaken
      @33forsaken  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I usually see this with Spektrum if you have added any sub trims to the rudder. if you have remove them, find a better servo arm and find the best mechanical 90 you can. don't worry if its not perfect the gyro will handle the rest.

    Thanks, you got another subscriber, I'm a beginner, I paid to set up my T-rex470LM, and I haven't yet flown alone, just with the Instructor. But one thing I noticed, the servants are making noise all the time, even with the T-rex470Lm I commented to the person who set it up and she said it is normal, but I have read something somewhere that the servants cannot shake alone. What can it be? Obs: Sorry my english google, I'm Brazilian, I don't speak nor read English ok? Thank you.

      Freddy, good morning, I auditioned and the servants are making noise. But I also realized that the tail servo's course makes a lot of noise at one end. One of the aileron's servants hit at the end of the course, I thought I was hitting at the end of the course and to test it, I put a piece of paper and the paper gets stuck between the servant's arm and the servant's body. I made a video , but I can't post here.
