Good video. Long time handliner here. Wanted to get into jigging since you really can't handline wit more than two people. Went out with four of us the other day and got into them. Now I'm hooked, so to speak. This video was a great, straightforward tutorial. Funny, I went to Dipnet today and bought all 1 oz. jigheads. Agree totally with you on that.
A lot of other videos are just people showing off catching fish. This one actually tells you how. Thx.

I just found your channel, and you have been the guy that is just 💯 with the info, and the tips & tricks you share. We all know you going to piss off some "Karen's" along the way with the info you share, so i would like to say thanks again for everything you share 🤝🏼. We had a great year on the Detroit river. We started at the rencen drifted to boblo. The first day we had a two person limit in 45 mins, the second day about an hour, both times was only one drift. Third day we went to the St Clair near algonac did well bottom bouncing. Thank you for the Great video and information.

Thanks for all the insight. Just getting into the river fishing the past few years and any little local knowledge is very much appreciated. I really like the use of the spare plastics to hold on the stinger. Is there a specific size stinger you use in your setup? Also you a few St. Croix rods but the 6'3" MH with the fast tip...really enjoy using up in the northern Canadian lakes for jigging. Thanks again for all the wisdom learned.

I’ve never fished the Detroit river, but I want to.
I have a small 14 foot flat bottom bass boat, Carolina skiff. Do you think it’s safe to go out on those waters or will the waves sink me? Be

I’m not one to make safety recommendations but I think if you go on the right day such as a weekday morning when there isn’t much wind you would be just fine. People kayak fish the Detroit river so it’s definitely fishable for smaller vessels I just wouldn’t go on a weekend because a lot of time the boat wake can be really really bad. Thanks for watching!

I have and usually in the Fall on the D near the Post Office. Use the same type of equipment just cast up current, let the jig hit bottom and bounce it back to ya until it gets past you on a 45 degree then bring it in and cast back at em again!

So I live in Spring Lake. On the Grand River. Thinking about making a trip to Detroit and see if I can break my Michigan walleye curse. I’ve caught tons of walleye in Canada, but have never caught one in the state of Michigan mostly because I haven’t tried real hard.
Look me up on Facebook or message me. I’d like to talk to you or do some texting about baits and so on.
